Chapter 30

I frantically ran all the way to Aqua Chrysalis. I was out of breath by the time I reached the building. Prof. Dog met me in the lobby and brought me to Mr. Shark's floor. He lifted me up, so I could reach the vent.

"Be careful, woof. The culprit seems dangerous," Prof. Dog warned.

"I will."

I prepared myself for whatever was waiting for me and crawled inside the narrow passageway until I found an exit right above where Mr. Shark and the black-haired boy were. They weren't fighting. They appeared to be sitting down and discussing something.

"So that's why you came here," said Mr. Shark, rubbing his chin.

"Yes. Do you agree with my plan, brother?" The boy had a sinister smile, void of any child-like innocence.

Brother?! Is he Mr. Shark's younger brother?

It made sense now. They both had the same hair color. And Mr. Shark did say it was a personal matter that he couldn't tell me who the culprit was.

Did they plan this together? Including the death of my butterflies?
