Chapter 66

"Dress nicely, Miss Butterfly. Wear your best dress. You can pick something from the closet," said Ms. Cat before she closed the door behind her.

How am I supposed to know which dress would please my grandmother?

I shrugged and picked the most elegant-looking one, which was a white and creamy brown dress. After putting it on, I looked at myself in the mirror. I noticed my eye bags.

I haven't had proper sleep lately, huh?

I decided to take a quick nap to get rid of the sleepy feeling. I didn't know how much time passed after that.

"Butterfly, are you done?" Ms. Cat's voice came from outside the room.

"Coming!" I quickly got up and hurried out of the room, almost crashing into a decorative table.

I quickly fixed my dress just before entering the dining room.

"Butterfly."

An elderly lady sat at the end of the table. She had a somewhat serious-looking face, but was smiling at the same time.

"Grandmother?" I asked. I didn't exactly remember her.

"You've forgotten me?"
