Dina loses her consciousness

It sat on the coffee table with the liquid-filled to the brim. The content inside the glass did look like water but she still had some doubts. Millie moved her hands towards the glass and lifted it. She smelled it and found that it was not alcohol. She breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking at Millie's actions, Kara felt disappointed. But she did not comment on that. Instead, she looked down and thought,

'What did I do? How are we going to come out of this sticky situation? I could not believe that we revealed everything in front of Dina's grandmother. I had spoiled my daughter's first impression. What should I do to make the lady in front of her accept Dina?' She wondered.

"Dina, Listen to me. Calm down first. What are you trying to do?" Mike shouted and ran around the living room.

When Kara came out of her daze, she noticed Dina chasing Mike with a kitchen knife. Kara held her head as her headache increased several folds.

"It's all because of you. You told my mom that last month I spent a night out in a hotel. Didn't you? I can't think of any other reason why my mom would want to send me away." She screamed and ran behind him.

Due to her anger towards Mike, she failed to notice the changes in the people's faces around her. Everyone stood still like a statue as they couldn't believe what they had just heard. Dina didn't realize the mistake she made as her mind was preoccupied with shifting all the blame to Mike.

"You did what? Did you go to a hotel? To whom?" Mike put a sudden break and stopped in the middle of the living room.

He looked at her with a judging expression. 'Is she stupid? How could she hide such important information from me? Is that why they were almost exposed to the world? How powerful is that dude, she spent the night with?' Mike badly wanted to know as that would help him prevent any future disaster.

"Don't try to act innocent in front of me. I know it's you who told my mother about that," Dina raised the knife and tried to stab him.

"Dina, listen to me. I did not say anything to anyone. It's you who disclosed it right now… But do you really not know who that person is?" Mike said and held her hands tightly.

"What person? Have you gone mad?" Dina finally realized her mistake and her anger was now replaced with fear.

Still, she was not ready to spare him and tried to get her hands out of his grasp.

"If you did not say it, then who did?" Somehow, she pulled back one of her hands from his tight hold and turned towards Millie with accusing eyes.

Millie trembled under her intense stare and suddenly wanted to hide behind someone. Her eyes kept on traveling between the knife and Dina's face.

"Why is my mom trying to send me away with this old lady?" Dina muttered under her breath and pointed her free hand at Millie.

Mike looked at the old lady who was sitting on the sofa with elegance. He twisted his eyebrows. He knew who she was and why she could have come here.

"Dina listens to me, no one can take you away from here without your consent. I will speak with Kara and try to understand the situation. Give me a few minutes, please… Now, let go of this sharp object. It can do some real damage," Mike assured her and tried to get the weapon out of her hand.

But even after several attempts, he couldn't get the knife out of her hand. Just one hand of hers had so much strength. If she really stabbed him with all her strength, then one blow was enough to send his soul flying to the grim reaper.

"Will you? You will tell my mom that I will be obedient from now on and not touch alcohol throughout my life. Please… Please… Please… Ask her to not send me away. I promise, I will be good and won't bite anyone or even better, I will not go out at all. I will stay inside the house and even if required, I will lock myself in a room," Dina begged while holding both hands with the knife sticking out in the middle of their hands.

Mike lifted his head as he was afraid to even look at the weapon that was pointing directly below his face.

"I will. I will. Don't worry… I will talk to Kara," Mike assured her and then said,

"But first, why don't we let go of this weapon first? Then we will sit somewhere quiet and try to analyze the situation. Ok?" Mike asked.

Suddenly, the knife slipped down from her hands and missed Mike's feet by an inch. He lifted his leg in a hurry to avoid the sharp object from piercing his feet.

"Ahh…" He screamed in horror and jumped several feet away from her.

But still, his hands were stuck in between her hands. He felt immense pain as she had been almost squeezing his hands like she was taking the juice out of an orange or a lemon.

"Dina, slowly, let go of my hands. I will pick the knife and keep it in a safe place so that no one will get hurt," Mike said and pulled his hands backward a little.

Suddenly, she let go of him and his butt landed on the hardwood floor. He slowly stood up and bent down to pick the knife from the floor. Just before Mike could lift the knife, he felt someone slipping down next to him.

Because of all the emotional imbalance, Dina lost her consciousness and her body swayed in the air. Mike reacted swiftly and caught her body before she could hit the floor.

"Ahhh…." Kara and Millie rushed near her.

"Dina… Dina… What happened to you?" Kara tried to wake Dina.

But as she didn't get any response, she lifted the glass of water from the table and sprayed it on her face. Still, Dina didn't wake up.

"Dina… please… If you don't want to go with your grandmother, then it's fine. But please open your eyes. Please…" Kara begged and hugged her tightly.

"Aunty, she must be overstressed and that's why it happened. You do know that our designs for the fashion week have been selected. So, she had been working hard for several days now to finish the dresses. It must be because of that. I will place her on the sofa. You can examine her and find out if there is anything wrong with her. If required, I will go get a doctor." Mike suggested.

Kara suddenly realized that she was a nurse. But when someone close to you faints, you forget everything and only concentrate on the wellness of the individual.

If Mike hadn't rushed forward in the blink of an eye and held her up, she would have hurt very badly. Slowly, he lifted her and placed her on the couch.

"Can you get me my bag from inside the room?" Kara asked Mike.
