Chapter 10

It was then I made the decision to fight the man , so as to not be a burden to James.

The man launched himself at me and when he was close enough , he swung his arm horizontally, attempting to slice my head, but I managed to duck at the last second .

At this moment , his hands were directly above me, I then used all the force I could muster, to launch my self upwards at his arms, I then punched him but then.

CRACK, as I hit him I heard the sound of bone cracking, as I was about to smile at the fact that I broke his arm, I felt a very excrutiating pain in my right hand.

I shouted at the top of my lungs as I tried my best to distance my self from him, I looked at my hand which was broken , tears forming at the corner of my eyes but I soon cleaned it with my left hand.

As I cleaned my tears , the man lunged at me ,and then an idea popped in my head although it was very dangerous I had no choice, than to do it because he was already charging at me.

As he was about 4 steps away from me , I charged directly at him, and as he was about to stab me with right hand, I leaned my body towards his right arm 'SLASH' .

His arm blades penetrated my arm, I felt an immesurable amount of pain, but I smiled,I then moved my body closer to his causing his arm blades to further impale my arm.

The man was shocked , but before he could regain his senses, I jumped and locked my legs around his neck, He tried using his arm blades to stab me so I could let go of his neck, but because one of his arms were stuck in my arm , he couldn't deal enough damage to make me release his neck.

He quickly have up the idea and he started to struggle ,seeing his struggle I tightened my grip on his neck 'CRACK'.

The armour around his neck cracked exposing his neck. I then decided to squeeze his neck even further , after about 45 seconds of squeezing , he finally fell. I went to check if he was still breathing, and luckily he was dead .

I looked around and saw that both Bruno and James have also finished thier fight , I wanted to approach them but as I took a step my mind felt faint . And then my body fell on the ground, I tried to stand but I felt light headed and after a couple seconds I fainted .

I woke up with on a person's shoulder, I was about to panik when I saw james Walking behind me, I was about to turn my head to check the person who was carrying me when I felt a sharp pain in my right hand.

James who noticed that I was now conscious said "there is good new and bad news , the good news is that we are all alive , more or less, while the bad news is that we are the last survivors of the 'blood samurais' ".

I then asked why we were attacked by members of the crimson knights, james replied with a solemn look on his face and said "Remember the gang we fought against recently..... Thier leader's cousin was a high ranking member of the outer circle of the crimson knights . He was probably enraged that we killed his cousin and sent those 3 for revenge . "

After James finished talking , we all had a solemn look on our faces, after about 3 minutes of walking , we all felt large vibrations in the earth. Before we could find out what was causing such intense vibrations, a giant ship landed directly in front is us .

Then a door opened and from the door came a man , the man who came out had black hair , which were long enough to reach his shoulders , he looked like he was about in his early 30s, He wore the same white uniform that those three men from earlier wore , but this time his crimson knights logo was embedded on a gold badge unlike those 3 men whose badge was embedded on silver. He then looked at us like we were something that was stuck under his shoe .

"Am surprised that you were able to take care of our scouts , Its such a pity to kill you but since you killed my cousin I shall avenge his death with yours ".

As he finished talking James whispered something in my ear "Just play along and don't do anything rash ", I was thinking about what James meant by what he said, before I could understand what he meant, james suddenly grabbed me from Bruno's shoulder, and held me by the neck and said.

"Let us go or I'll kill this civilian " The man on the ships face became a little grimmer but not grim enough to be noticed , seeing as the man didn't change his mind about killing them Bruno pitched in "You know, it won't do well on the reputation of the crimson knights if word should spread that you killed a civilian " .

Both Bruno and James were shocked at the man's reaction, they all expected his face to turn dark and contemplate on what to do,but instead he had a creepy looking grin on his face and said .

"Dead people can't talk" and before either James or Bruno could react , a huge earth spike erupted from the ground impaling all three of us, lucky for me the spike grazed the left part of my stomach but the same couldn't be said for Jake and Bruno.

I turned my neck and saw that they where both impaled by the earth spike and where coughing blood, then Jake raised his hand with the last bit of strength he had and said something to me, although his words were slightly louder than a whisper.

I tried to hear what James said but then my mind became blurry due to blood loss, and I fainted.

I woke up on a bed and I looked around the room I was in, the room was white with a table beside the bed , and there was also a heart monitor beside me, I tried to move my body up but then I felt a sharp pain in the left part of my stomach.

I looked there to see what was causing such pain, and I saw that my entire abdomen was bandaged , and then memories started flooding my brain, I remembered want happened to James, Bruno and the blood samurais.

Tears began to form in the corner of my eyes , and before long I began to cry, but after about 20 seconds of crying a man walked in with to doctors by his side.

At first I thought he looked familiar and then it hit me , He was the man who killed James and Bruno, I wanted to plunge my self at him and release all my sorrow on him, when james last words echoed in my mind.

I couldn't hear what he said at that time or at least I couldn't comprehend what he said , but now his words were echoing in my head .And his last words where "Don't do anything rash, become stronger and then you can take revenge for us ".

Hearing his words made me calm down , although I still wanted to kill the man I remained on the bed as I cleaned the remaining of the tears lingering at the corners of my eyes.

The man signalled for the doctors to leave the room, shortly after the doctors left he said "I am truly sorry, because of us you where assaulted by a criminal and almost lost your life, You shall be compensated for the trauma and the physical damages done to you "As he spoke I couldn't help but notice that he said 'Criminal' in a very disgusted tone.

My blood was boiling and I was about to loose control and lunge myself at the man but then, he put his arm in his pocket and brought out a black cube, which seemed to be made of a sort of black liquid like alloy.

The box is a storage cube, normal storage cubes are made from a very resistant metal called tritanium , but this particular storage cube was a special one , although the alloy it's made of in not as thought as the tritanium , it has a special feature which makes it better than tritanium 'Adaptability'. The storage case made with this special alloy changes shape to better resist any incoming attack.

As soon as I saw the storage cube my eyes lit up , I was about to ask what was in the storage cube , when one of the doctors that entered the room earlier walked in and whispered something in his ear . The moment he heard what the doctor said, his face immediately became grim, and he hurriedly left the room.
