Chapter 343

"I've heard the rumors of your kingdom's fortune, but not much else is known around here," Sullivan told Zack.

'No surprise that's all you've heard.' Elizabeth tried her best to hold her tongue.

"There's plenty of rumors about this place as well," Madison stated.

'Another one that's not so bad.' Elizabeth gave a discrete thumbs up.

"Rumors can easily get out of hand," Sullivan reassured their group.

"Several groups attacked our wagon, and we kept a few of the culprits. I wanted to bring them to your attention, but more troublemakers appeared at the gate. Now I have a handful of prisoners in my care." Zack stated.

'Those fucking idiots.' Sullivan clenched his hand.

"The market can attract a rowdy bunch every now and then. I apologize for any inconvenience they caused you. I'll handle the executions to ease your burdens." Sullivan apologized.

'He's gonna have to pay double for the release.'

"Can we cut the bullshit already?" Elizabeth asked Zack.

"You should show some respect." A soldier gripped his blade.

"Is everyone in position?" Zack relayed.

"We're good to go," Haruna replied.

"You heard her." Zack smiled at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth dashed forward at frightening speeds tail whipping the loudmouth into the wall. Hearing the loud crash Sullivan looked over to see the soldier's armor filled with holes. Soldiers surrounded Elizabeth with quaking hands filled with steel.

"Challenging a Pendragon will get you wiped from the earth." Elizabeth declared.

Elizabeth's aura erupted knocking them to their knees as scales covered her body. They recovered in time to see her palms igniting, and flames leaking from the sides of her mouth. The surrounding soldiers crawled to safety as fast as possible.

'I thought she was a rogue dragon.' Sullivan began sweating from the raised temperature.

Several mages aimed at Elizabeth's back, and this led to them missing Madison's actions. Her body already shifted into mist slipping past their peripheral vision. As magic gathered in their hand's tendons were severed from a gust of wind.

The mages dropped to their knees as arms felled to their sides limp. It happened so quickly they became confused and looked back to see mist shaping into a woman. After manifesting Madison's hand aimed at the strongest mage's neck as her nails extended to their throat.

"You are the ones who should be showing some respect." Madison's red eyes sent chills down their spines.

'She hasn't aged a single day.' Sullivan started to recognize Madison.

"Queen Eliza will hear of this," Sullivan threatened.

"That's the point." Zack nodded at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth smirked as she shot through the roof transforming over the city. She released a roar that shook the buildings and echoed to the gates of Kirkwall. From her mouth erupted a pillar of flames into the sky for all to see.

'Go ahead, and make my day.' Elizabeth glared towards the towers of Kirkwall.

"What is this?" Sullivan examined the damage to his palace.

"It's an eviction notice for the troublemakers in this city." Madison declared.

"You have no authority here," Sullivan argued.

"We're just playing by your rules." Zack motioned Madison closer.

Madison withdrew her hand walking up to Zack. Unbothered by the enemies around them Zack kissed her passionately. Some of the soldiers standing around were irritated by this display, but not all. One soldier admired the way they handled things, and how Zack had multiple women at his side.

'I wonder if he's hiring.'

"I got this from here." Zack smiled.

"I'll help Dyna." Madison sped off.

Now that Elizabeth was in the sky and Madison was out of sight, they saw an opportunity. A bolt was released that nearly struck Zack in the face. He turned around with the bolt wedged between his fingers and snapped it with ease.

With a simple point of Zack's index finger, the bowman spewed blood. The others watched their comrade slump onto the stone floors deceased. Delivering that much damage with a simple gesture caused the rest to stand down.

"If some changes don't occur you won't receive another copper." Zack declared.

"If it wasn't for the auction house in Blackreach we would be the trade hub of the south. Nothing you can do will change that."Sullivan retorted.

"You sure about that?" Zack asked as the room fell silent.

Sullivan motioned one of his men to the gate. They rushed off to find out today's resupply never arrived. When riders went to investigate they were met with a Mongolian embargo. Observing an army of riders, and centaurs along the hills they were forced to retreat.

"They have blocked off the roads."

'Damn it!'

"You're gonna have to do better than that to stop us," Sullivan declared.

'Most of our business comes from the port.' Sullivan smirked.

"Are you referring to the ships scheduled for this afternoon?" Zack asked.

Sailing towards the city was a fleet of pirate ships. Sullivan's city has been their trade hub for several years now. Because of its easy access, it allowed them to continue their piracy upon the seas.

"We have ships coming from the east."

The admiral lifted a telescope and noticed the dragon etched into the helm of the boat. He relayed to the fleet countermeasures as archers took aim. Feeling the magic swelling Halfdan approached the edge of the boat.

"Shield wall!" Halfdan shouted.

The boats became enveloped in mana warding off the incoming attack. Halfdan drew his weapon fading away as storm clouds gathered. They watched the skies for an attack as their archers went flying from the boats. Halfdan already boarded a ship and had lightning crackling around his body.

"Always getting a head start," Baldur shouted.

Baldur sprang off the boat hurling one weapon into the sea. The instant they clashed a path of ice emerged for their soldiers. He hurled the second ax towards Halfdan.

The weapon struck a pirate in the chest freezing him in place. Baldur landed at the ship while conjuring more axes. Witnessing two massive warriors with powerful auras they surrounded them.

"You should watch your back." Baldur taunted.

A flare shot into the sky distracting Baldur. A water whip was prepared to seize Baldur's neck. Soaring across the sea was a familiar hammer that destroyed the whip, and electrocuted its user.

"Be ready for reinforcements!" Thyra shouted.
