As Isaac went through the tunnel towards another magic source, Isaac hears a screech as he approaches a break in the tunnel. sources of magic was coming down the tunnel to the left, so Isaac runs and hides in the right tunnel, as Isaac hugs the wall and watches the pathway, two spiders rush towards the tunnel Isaac was just in. Without thinking, Isaac immediately runs into the tunnel that the two spiders just came from. After travelling through the tunnel for what seemed like an hour but only twenty minutes, Isaac ends up in a huge cave with the silk webs all over the ceilings. As Isaac explores the dimly lit cave, he sees webbed up cocoons made of the same silk that he had needed to find for the mission.
"I don't have the space for much, but luckily my backpack should be able to carry enough silk to complete this mission". Isaac thinks to himself as he summons a dagger into his hand and tries to cut the silk but finds it harder than he first imagined. "No wonder why apparently this silk is used for armor and clothing!" Isaac said. It is very strong to the point where Isaac had to use about 80 percent of his strength to just cut off a few threads of the crystal silk. As Isaac was cutting into more pieces of the silk and stuffing them into the backpack on his back, a pair of eyes began to shift from the ceiling, slowly inching itself closer and closer to be right above Isaac. As Isaac, was cutting up the silk, he heard a noise of a small piece of rock falling and hitting the ground right next to him. Instinctively, Isaac looks up and sees those glowing crimson eyes narrowingly looking at him, as a loud screech follows as the body of a spider with its razor sharp ends pointed at the ground below Isaac.
Without a second thought, Isaac jumps to the side to dodge the skewer attack from the crystal silk spider, but the force of the attack strikes the ground with so much force that it causes him to be sent flying further into the cave. The spider not letting up for even a moment, once it got back up, immediately starts to rush towards the intruder who was cutting into its cocoons. As it rushed over, it would open its mouth and launch balls of the web from its mouth like a projectile, and when it missed Isaac and hit the floor, the stone floor would become damaged and a crater would form from the impact. Showing off the strength of the silk when it was condensed so tightly, even becoming a deadly weapon in the hands of these spiders. The spider didn't seem to be able to shoot it often though, Isaac noticed that every time the spider would shoot the ball of crystal silk at him, there was always a delay of more than 30 seconds before it did so again, it also didn't move when it did so.
"26...27...28...29...". Isaac counts in his head as the spider then stops chasing him and opens its mouth, and just as it mouth opens up. Isaac turns on his heel and a throwable spear is summoned in a quick flash of purple and he herculean throws the spear directly into the mouth of the spider, causing the spider to screech and rage to consume its features. It screeched as soon as it recovered and turned to face the intruder only for it to receive another spear into its mouth. This cycle repeated for some time and though it may seem easy in idea to keep tossing spears into the mouth of the spider to damage it internally, it was actually extremely difficult for Isaac. Everytime a spear would enter the mouth of the spider, it was rush up and try to slash Isaac's body directly into two and the swings only picked up with speed the more hurt it got. From a outside perspective, this would be a comical sight to see the spider open its mouth to only be fed a spear into its mouth. It was like a strange game of hungry hungry hippos, but didn't spiders have rights too? Why must it be bullied like this by some pesky human who invaded into it's territory. If the spider could verbalize itself, it would be cursing Isaac's entire family line, even his ancestors as it grew more and more angry.
Isaac tossed spears until his mana became empty, and by the time he threw the last spear, the spider finally caved in and fell over with a loud crash. Panting from exhaustion from the almost half and hour long battle, Isaac stared at the corpse of the spider which was currently lifeless and beginning to become more cold, and he begins to look at the body of the spider.
"Why is a portion of the body giving off magical energy still? Isaac thinks confused as he searches around the head of the spider where he mostly feels the energy come from. Isaac without batting an eye, uses some of his regained magical energy to form his knife to cut open the head of the spider. Not only does blood and gore fall out from the head of the spider, but a small item that looked crystalized but was the size of a chip and was connected to the brain of the spider.
"I'm not to sure what this small chips does or why it's in the brain of this spider, but I'll just take it for now with me and ask master what it is when I eventually get out of here. I think I only need to kill a few more spiders and I'll have considered to have completed this mission". Isaac thinks to himself as he sits down to rest from the strenuous battle that he had fought. While he sits down, he enters a meditative position. "I think it is about time I consolidate all the experiences that I have acquired and use them to further strengthen my magic".
