Chapter 68

"Being impaled is the weirdest sensation. It's like the feeling of being stable, but it goes straight through your body. The shock of the initial piercing the feeling of it touching your insides and then it coming out of you through another part. Then the pain. The numbing, yet extenuating pain. It stupid to say but it hurts like hell." Amay monologued as her eyes went wide from the first impaling with Ida appendage.

She felt Ida pull it out of her and gasped a little. Yet, that gasp turned into a scream as Ida stabbed deeper into her. Blood poured from her mouth as she felt her legs get lifted off of the ground. And then nothing. Amay couldn't feel her legs as the limb severed her spine from her wast down.

As Amay started to wheeze for air as tears filled her eyes from the unworldly pain she was in. Her vision started to darken and blur as she could feel her own life slipping away. Yet she was trying her best to concentrate on the situation before her. Through labored breaths, her eyes looked at the object deep inside of her. With another breath her eyes, then looked at Ida, who had a sick and twisted smile on her face. And with another one, her attention then went to Lucas, who just sat there in shock.

Amay, with a weak voice, tried to mouth something to Lucas; however before the whisper letter left her mouth, Ida pulled her appendage out. As gravity took ahold of her, Ida forced her limb deeper into Amay to the she was near the first leg joint. With another agonizing scream and a heavy amout of blood leaving her mouth, she went completely limp as the fire in her eyes started to become little embers.

A satisfying smile came across, Ida face as she watched the curse that came to their village finally did what it should have done the day it was born. As she was about to laugh, a cold feeling came through her body as she heard the boy yell for the trashes name.

"What is this?" Ida though to herself as her eyes turned to the boy. Her body began to shake and become cold as pour fear almost went through her body. She watched in aww, and shock as the boy's energy began to rise. His hair became spike as a electric aura engulfed him. "This power. This fear. This everything. Is this the same frightened prey from a few seconds ago? Is this what the seed of Elizabeth holds?"

As Ida watched in a mixture of shock and amazement, she didn't notice Amay's head slowly rise. The blood that poured from amay became still as if frozen in time. It soon began to flow in reverse and form a sphere in her left hand.

"Not yet," Amay told herself as the embers of her life began to burn bright. With the last bit of blood stored in her body, her dislocated arm aggressively and painfully snapped back into place. Using her now fixed right arm, Amay grabbed the soft part of the jointed area of the appendage deep in her. Using some of her already dying strength, her nails began to cut into it.

A sharp pain shot through Ida body, and forced her to look at Amay. The realization of what she was looking at slowly painted itself all over her face. Through all four eyes, she saw the girl that was supposed to be dead, looking straight at her face with a bloody smile with near life eyes that had heavy rings around them. She then noticed the ball of blood that formed in her left arm that was pointed straight at her face.

"Technique #2....Blood Bullet," Amay weakly said between heavy breaks. After the words left her mouth, the blood fired directly into Ida's face.

A blood curdling scream left, Ida mouth as the blood covered her entire face. It wasn't enough to kill or badly injure, but it hurt. It was like she was hit directly in the face by an exploding paint ball.

Ida began to stumble backwards and rub furiously at her face. trying to get the stinging blood out of her eyes. She didn't realize where she was facing and was barely could force on her footing to the point she was nearly swinging Amay around. As she finally got some of the blood out of her eyes, she came face to face with another surprise.

A blinding light filled her vision, but slowly forced in as she saw a figure with a bright light in her face. The realization hit her again, when she saw it was Lucas and the light...the light was his fist glowing a blindly white. She could see the little sparks of electricity dancing around his tightly clenched fist. The clothing around that arm, had dissolved exposing his muscles and chest. What shock her the most was the look in his electric blue eyes.

Ida barely had seconds to dodge the punch, but quickly throw up her left arm in an attempt to block the incoming attack. Tiny sparks jump from Lucas's fist as it connected with Ida's open palm

There was a sudden blinding light followed by a thundering boom that rung throughout the forest.

Back at the camp, Martha's head perked up and faced towards the direction of where she heard. She looked outside towards the window as it was raining cats and dogs. She felt something for a mere second that made her whisper one word.

"Lucas?"

"You said something, sweetie?" Elizabeth asked as felt something as well, but was too focused on painting Martha's toe nails.

"I.....don't know.."She said barely wanting to take her eyes off the window. "I thought.... I felt Lucas's energy for a moment."

This made Elizabeth stop in her tracks for a moment as she looked up at Martha with a serious face. "Are you sure?" Elizabeth asked in a serious tone.

Martha then blinked a little and shock her head for a moment. "No. I must be imagining things," she said focusing back to Elizabeth.

"Oh...Okay then." Elizabeth said letting out a relieved sigh. "Good. You had me worried there for a moment. If you want we can head out for there, when the rain clears." She said trying to put her daughter's mind at ease.

Martha though about it for a moment and slowly shock her head. "Maybe," the words left her mouth as she tried to focus back on her nails. Her mind still wondered to that noise and that sudden energy rise.

Back in the forest.

Sparks began to dance on different parts of trees and the very forest floor itself trying to find a way home. Lucas stood tall with steam pouring off of him while he started breathing heavily. His hair and eyes went back to normal as he felt a little light headed followed by an intense throbbing pain. From his entire left hand to halfway up his arm almost towards his elbow, it was nothing but bruised and badly damaged. With every flinched, he did nothing but pain would shoot from it. It got to the point, he nearly dropped to his knees in pain.

"What happened..." Lucas asked himself as his memories were a little fuzy as he blacked out. His eyes then forced in front of him as a burnt path lead to a path of broken trees and destruction. He took a deep breath as he tried to recall what happened. "Amay!?" He blurted out.

Lucas's eyes began to frantically scan the area looking for her. He then spotted a being with white hair wearing a pink kimono with a giant object still stuck in her. Without a second thought Lucas, stumbled to his feet and made his way towards her. Pain shot through his arm and his body felt as if it wanted to collapse, he kept pushing as he feared for the worse.

"Amay.!? Amay!? " He said in a trembling voice as say she wasn't moving. As he got to her, Lucas carefully got to her side and hear her wheezing for air. "Amay?! Hey are you there? Please answering me," he yelled as tears formed in his eyes.

"Too...loud.."Amay weakly said with a chuckle as she coughed up blood. Deep rings formed under her eyes as she barley could hold open her eyes, yet she looked up at him. "You...need to...leave.." She told him.

"No. No. We can leave together." Lucas said with tears in his eyes. He then reached down touch her. "Let me help you."

"N..No!" She mustered the strength to yell at him. "You need to leave! She's....not dead.." Amay said looking past Lucas to see a tree trunk lift up and out of the way.

Ida raised her right arm out and pulled herself up in deep breaths. Sparks of electricity danced around her body as she struggled to get to her feet. One of her smaller eyes were closed and her yukata had holes and gashes all over it. However, she seemed nearly intact all except for her entire left arm was missing. Green blood leaked for it and stained the yellows of her dress.

"That power....You almost killed me." Ida said in a hurt voice, but a twisted giggle left her mouth. "Yes..Yes..You will make our children the strongest. I must have you now." She said in a mad voice as green drool dripped from her mouth. Even with her left arm gone, she didn't bat an eye at it. She placed her right arm on her lower stomach as she could feel her excitement start to flow.

"Come to me, darling. Let us breed." She said as her mouth split open vertically and a thick web like substance shot out.

Lucas ducked his head low, but too his surprise the webbing didn't reach him in fact it barely left Ida's reach. Lucas and Amay looked in shock.

Ida's body began to jerk as electricity jumped all over her it. Yet, this didn't stop her. As she slowly began to move towards them. "No matter, I will take you by force. Just stay right there." She said with an evil giggle.

"Run...now.." Amay spoke again. She weakly moved her left arm trying to push Lucas away.

"Not without you." Lucas told her with tears in his eyes. He looked back at the slowly approaching spider-woman. Without thinking Lucas tried to pick up Amay, but her screams of pain made him stop. He also noticed something big. "Amay...your legs." He said with wide eyes.

Amay slowly nodded her head to confirm his fears. Tears filled her eyes as she told him again.

"Please...leave. I'm not going to make it...and I will only slow you down..." She said as blood trickled from the side of her mouth. "You need to leave before she gets to you..or if she returns back to normal. Now go!" She told him one last time.

Lucas found it hard to swallow as his eyes began to burn from his tears. He turned back around to see the still approaching woman. It seemed with each step she took the more and more the electricity she fought off. Part of him wanted to get up and listen to Amay, but he couldn't. With each blink, he saw her smile and the moments they shared together leading up to that night and their kiss.

"I made a lot of mistakes today. And I was the one to get her in this position." Lucas thought to himself. With a deep breath and sigh, he reached down for Amay. He used his right arm to pick her up and even though he was hurting her, he brought her body to a stand.

"What...are you doing..." Amay asked completely shock and angry. "I told you to leave me and save yourself..I'm going to-"

"Shut up! And hang on to me!" Lucas told her as he pushed past the pain in his left arm to support his grip on her. "I'm not leaving you."

"...." His words left Amay lost. She could tell in his voice he had made up his mind. She could feel her life slipping with each passing moment, but she was going to fight. She held on to him as best she could, so her body wouldn't slow him down as much.

Without saying another word, Lucas began to pull himself and Amay away toward the river. All the while Ida followed behind, them slowly but surely picking up speed.
