Unusual Beauty

The rest of the car ride was silent until we got to the small park. "Why are we here?" I ask as I get out. "Because this is the entrance to the wedding." I look around and that's when I notice vehicles being parked in the parking lot and on the street.

Another realization hits me and I know we're near the Han River. "This way," at the other end of the park is a small river stream with a wooden bridge over it.

The bride is decorated in white flowers and lamps on both sides.

Following the path is a white flowery path with tall trees and decorating lights around them, telling the public that this is the entrance to the enchanted forest.

Arches of a distinct design hang from the top every now and then along with flowery ropes hanging from the arches.

And then we finally get into the enchanted forest with absolutely takes me breath away.

The flowery path changes to a plain platform where the bride will walk to reach the alter.

"This is magnificently breath taking," I compliment as my eyes just roam around the beautiful scenery. "Look, your cousin!" Lucy waves to Jimin, who's near the center on the left side of the walkway platform.

"Let's go," I follow Yixing and Lucy to my cousin's table to see him, Taehyung, Baekyun, and Jungkook all sitting side by side.

"Finally you made it," Baekyun comments, patting the seat next to him, "what took you all so long?" I just smile, "we were talking to the bridesmaids."

"Baby girl," I look at Jimin to see him eyeing my dress, "you look beautiful. But if I ever catch any man staring at you, I know I won't be the only one beating them up-"

"Jimin, I think she knows that. This table mostly consists of males who'll do anything for not only her but Lucy as well," Taehyung then turns to Lucy, "by the way you also look amazingly gorgeous."

Lucy shows him a bright smile, the compliment very well appreciated, "well thank you. You don't look so bad yourself."

The only things I've liked about weddings were the food. I don't dance or gossip so right after the "ceremony speech", I immediately stand up.

"Where are you going," Baekyun asks, rasing an eyebrow at me. "I'm just going for a walk," I smile, showing him that I'm very capable of taking care of myself just in case anything happens.

He nods and turns back to the surfacing gossip that Jimin created - like always.

I breath in the fresh air as I make my way down the flowery path. "So much better," I tell myself after inhaling the fresh scent of roses.

"So baby," my ears perk up at a passing couple, "when will you propose to me?" I'm surprise by that question. "How is she so confident in asking her boyfriend that?" I ask myself, shaking my head.

"How does tomorrow sound?" She giggles and kisses him first, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I want a relationship like that," I whine to myself and pick up a rose petal from the ground.

As I exit the path, I stop and place my hands on the wooden fence of the bridge, looking down at the sparkling stream that's lit up with fireflies.

A couple of moments pass and I notice a somewhat familiar figure besides me. "I'm guessing you don't like weddings either." Silence falls between us. It wasn't an awkward one but a comfortable and relaxing kind of silence.

Suddenly, a cold gush of wind comes smashing at my exposed skin. I rub my shivering arms, "wow, it suddenly got cold." I feel myself being engulfed by a very warm suit jacket.

I turn to the left and see him walking away, taking slow steps and suddenly he stops. I tilt my head while staring at his nice looking back.

"Why did he stop? Is he waiting for someone-?" My question is answered when he turns around, and for the first time this night, our eyes lock for what seems like centuries and I realize: He's waiting for me.

I show him a small yet genuine smile before siding with him. Together we walk around the park, no words or sound exchanging but the clicks of our heels.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but for how long have you known my cousin for?" He stays silent for a moment before answering me, "a while."

I nod my head, trying to understand how long "a while" is. "Are you two like close friends?" Again he stays silent for a moment before answering, "somewhat."

"How did you two meet?" He suddenly stops and stares, face emotionless but eyes telling a very tragic story. "It was an accidental meeting." Finally he answers me with more than two words.

Wait- an accidental meeting? I'm about to ask him what that means when I hear shouting coming from one of the ends of the park.

We follow the commotion to see a female elderly screaming at a child for stealing bread.

"You ungracious child! Did your parents ever teach you manners!? Don't you know that stealing is against the law!"

"I'm sorry! I have no money and I haven't eaten since yesterday-"

"Well that's not my problem-"

Jungkook suddenly walks up to the little boy and bends down to his eye-level. "Go in there and get anything you want. I'll buy it all for you," he smiles and ruffles the little boy's hair.

"So he knows how to smile?" I whisper to myself, concentrating on the one-of-a-kind smile. "Cute."
