Chapter 17: Tier 1 Normal Dungeon part III

The group directly proceeded to where the portal location was after the greetings.

While walking to the location, Sona the girl in the robe introduced her party members to Ian that was very much appreciated by him.

Their Leader is called Balt a B rank Gifter, next to the Leader was their vice leader that was also a B rank Gifter called Pitt. It seems that the two were part of the same team previously.

Sona said that the team was currently just created. The two were the Tank and Damage dealer (Dd) of the team.

They also have another Damage dealer which is called Katherine, the red-haired woman with a big bust that was also B rank Gifter. It seems that she has the Enhancement Ability. Her forte was her speed so it's about agility enhancement or strength since she is also a Dd on the team.

Sona also said the name of the punky man that was called Lindo, their sharpshooter, a C rank Gifter.

Ian also wants to know the name of the porter girl but it seems she is just like him, a temporary porter for the group. Sona said that she also tried talking with her but it appears she just nods her head without chatting.

After a minute of talking to Sona Ian finally personally saw the Portal where two black suit men are standing, he recognized them as the Guild guard stuff, he knew them because there is also the same guarding staff at the low-level portals from his memory.

Ian also notices that there is no other raider in the portal, unlike the white where there are so many Low-level Gifters forming in line before they enter.

 But Ian didn't bother about it since he was currently in awe by the portal appearance since it's his first time seeing a green portal. The previous possessor was just a low-level Gifter and he is also a coward that was afraid to venture into another dungeon.

Like what Lily said. It's an octagon shape with a look of sci-fi on it. It has a one lining on the side of the octagon which represents that it is a first-tier green portal, a portal that is not far from being a Blue portal that can only be cleared by a team of B ranks Gifters Or above.

The portal was a beauty to look at. It's like a gate to another dimension which is true but with of course dangers.

Ian, who was standing at the back of the group immediately followed after the guard let their group enter. Because It's his first time it's a sight to behold for him but them. It's just normal since they saw it almost every day

Ian was excited, excited about what he was going to experience. He is just like a grade-schooler who will experience his first field trip.

The woman in white, red-haired, girl Porter and the punky man looked at him with different expressions.

Of course, the punky man called Lindo disdains Ian for being a weakling considering the look Ian has, for certain it's his first time seeing a green portal.

He now was sure that Ian was just a low ranker that became lucky with being with them.

The girl in white called Sona and the red-haired woman Katherine was surprised since all newbies will be afraid of knowing that the portal they need to raid was more dangerous. And what usually newbie Porter shows on their face is nervousness and anxiety.

But Ian had an excited face that surprised them. They didn't know if it was bravado or foolishness but they didn't care since they were just curious.

And for the porter girl, she was just curious, that's all.

As for Ian, he was looking around inside the portal. They just entered the portal and what welcomed them was darkness. What his eyes could see was darkness, only darkness.

It's his first time experiencing it since the white portal doesn't have a passage like this. He didn't know why, but he could still see his party from this darkness and it seemed normal for them.

He was curious and asked the porter girl that was by his side.

"Hey~ do you know why it's dark here unlike the white portal that instantly proceeds to the dungeon?"

The porter girl looked at him for a moment before shaking her head.

Ian nodded his head since not all knew about it, or she just didn't want to talk either way.

He was just about to ask Lily but heard the voice of Sona who was at his front.

" Nobody knows the reason why. Many speculated but none were proven rights. The Gifters called this darkness as the bridge, the bridge to the dungeon."

Ian was puzzled when she said bridge. Where did the bridge come from, he thought but didn't ask any questions.

" Only the one who is leading can see the way to the other side, while we who follow can only see what's in front, that's how you can see us in this darkness, but us who were in front cannot see you."

Ian nodded his head. 'So that's how it works' he thought.

After walking for 20 minutes which is not short but either long time, Ian finally saw the entrance that led to the dungeon.

The entrance was like an oasis in the desert here in the darkness.

Arriving at the entrance, what welcomed them was a pack of white wolves ready to devour them.

The leader Balt that that was in front slammed his shield to left from right, sending away the wolves coming for him.

Pitt draws out his machetes from its scabbard and fire can be seen on Its blades. He quickly leaped on the wolves on the right while Katherine vanished from her spot and appeared beside the dead body of the wolf on Balt left side.

The punk head Lindo was already killing wolves on the back while Balt was defending the wolves' attack.

The girl in white was behind Balt with the other porter girl.

Ian on the other hand was right beside Lindo watching the show. He was excited when he saw how the fights turned. He saw Pitt claiming the life of the poor wolves like he is trimming grass.

Every time he killed a wolf, the body of the wolf burned from the heat the blade released.

Ian was awed. The fight he fought on the earth was just a child fight compared to what he currently saw.

Likewise, Katherine didn't lose to Pitt. Every time she appears there's a dead body on her side. She didn't even have blood on her body from how fast she is. Before the blood left the body of her victims her weapons that end their life was already sheath in its place from how fast she is.

Ian looked at the punk head who was so concentrated that he didn't notice him on his side. 

Ian admits that he has skill even if it's an ability, from how he killed monsters with headshots. Every shot he made killed the monster with their head gone off their body.

The firepower of magic firearms was powerful, it could even pulverize the head of the wolves.

But of course, having a firearm like that was expensive. Creating a single firearm alone already costs a hundred thousand crystals depending on what types you buy. 

And not only the production cost that much but also it's the bullet. The bullets needed were of course the crystals. Every one bullet cost a crystal that can be even more expensive than the firearm itself.

And a funky man having a magic sniper only means that he is so rich or he got it from someone else.

Because not even B rank can afford the bullets that will be spent every raid they have.

And even if they have the money, they won't spend it on a magic weapon like that. Instead, they will spend it on spell books that complement their ability to make them stronger.

Only rich kids buy a weapon like Magic Firearms.

Ian was eager to join the battle and try the Desert Tiger he got from the system but he couldn't since the battle was already over.

And it's time to do his job. The job of being a porter.
