Chapter 25: Strong become stronger ; Weak become weaker.

Ian who re-introduced himself for manner's sake saw how Sophia turned her back against him after she nodded her head. She once again executes her work which leaves Ian speechless.

Ian, who was speechless looking at her work, forgot to move for a minute. She is genuinely diligent in her work, he thought.

He just watches her for more minutes waiting for her to turn her body on him but alas she didn't.

"Want me to make your work easy?" He suddenly asks.

Sophia's hand stopped when she heard him. She turned her head and looked at him once again and saw him looking at her with a smile that made her turn once again.

Earlier when she introduced herself, she faced him because she thought that it's rude to answer him without looking at him so she steeled her courage and faced him which made her once again embarrassed so she immediately did her work to divert her embarrassment.

But now she didn't know what to say to him since she is the slow one she already saw how many Ian skinned while her on the other hand only skinned a few so she wants to know. She was embarrassed to talk to him so she just nodded her head.

Ian who saw her nodding smiled and thought what a cute girl.

"Then proceed with what I am going to say. First, find all the dead red wolves bodies that have the crystal, you just have to say it to me where and I will do the rest while you wait for the next step. Did you understand?" He asked.

Sophia who heard him was perplexed, she had so many questions to ask but didn't voice it. Since she was the one who wants help so she will just do as he said. Considering that she will still see what was going to happen after she finishes his instruction.

She approaches the monster that was close to her and uses her ability which she called [Crystal Locator]. She just needs to say its name and touch the target to trigger its ability which is to sense the presence of energy in what she touched.

Touching the dead bodies she closed her eyes and focused on the body. She activated her ability and sensed energy inside the body. From what she comprehends using her ability, every living being has energy in their bodies. She knows this since she also tries it on humans and animals. But only the monster has a crystal inside their body. She was not sure since she still didn't try using it on powerful people.

But not all monsters have a crystal and that's what all people know. She surmised that only those older monsters have a crystal while the young monster still didn't have a monster core yet which is still forming inside their body but it's just her speculation.

The inside of the monster she was currently touching still didn't have yet a crystal, but she saw how it was forming on its body which always mesmerized her since she saw how the energy inside the monster circling in its abdomen that's currently dissipating due to its death.

Sophia kept doing what she did in the first body. Every time she finds a body with crystal she notifies Ian who was standing on the boulder Pitt and Balt learning on earlier.

He stands at the boulder to let him see the body clearly for his ability to work since he can't control an object that he didn't see just yet.

Every time Sophia exclaimed, Ian made the body she pointed at float a little, which Sophia didn't notice.

After five minutes of looking, Sophia finally finished what Ian told her to do which is to identify the body where there is a crystal.

She was so exhausted since it's her first time using her ability consecutively without rest that made what she saw become double.

Ian, who was maintaining his ability on those dead bodies, saw Sophia state and use his ability on her.

"Yaaaa~"

Sophia, who was walking towards Ian's location, suddenly yelps out of surprise when she feels her body floating out of the ground. She was about to resist but stopped when she heard Ian's voice.

"Don't resist the force, it's my power and I am helping you seeing as you're exhausted that made your walking inappropriate," Ian explained. 

Although her resisting his ability wouldn't affect him that much except for the much more use of energy on her, but because he was also controlling the other dead bodies he just didn't want to waste more energy that's why he warned her, for his consumption sake.

Hearing what Ian said, Sophia exhaled from relief, she was really scared that some monster was targeting her that made her forget that the stage was already cleared. 

She didn't contradict the force that made her float and was in awe considering that it's her first time flying although she was not in control.

After Ian drinks the blue potion he can manipulate the weight, the force on the object due to gravity, or anything to make it very light and easy to move, or very heavy and impossible to move. He can also make the object so heavy it can break through almost anything, or so light that it can just float away. And as the weight has a direction, Ian can also change the path of gravity to cause telekinetic-like effects.

Which is overpowered but with his current strength he can't even use its 50% power because of his body stamina. 

Ability power consumes the stamina of the user while skills use the energy on the human body. Just like what Sophia said earlier, every living being has energy in their body, but not all of them have great energy reserves, unlike monsters. 

The monster was born in an environment fueled by the energy that made their bodies stronger from accepting it that made them stronger than humans who just accumulate excesses of energy that was leaked by the portals that opened on their world.

That's why people who are at the top of the food chain in the world are people that were Gifters that raided the portals. Not only did it create wealth, but it also made them stronger and stronger.

And the descendants of those strong people were also born with a qualitative reserve of energy, unlike normal humans that only have meager energy on their body since they only got it from the air which is also insufficient with how many people receive it.

That's why the saying of "The strong remain strong while people being weak become weaker" was heard on the world.
