Chapter 26: Folding Knife true form

Sophia breathes out in relief when she feels the boulder that she is currently stepping on. Being able to float was an amazing experience but having no control over it was scary because she wouldn't know when she was falling from the air.

She looked at Ian who was smirking at her like what he did was as simple as lifting his finger. She was amazed by how powerful he was after being re-awakened. After all, a Gifter who are re-awakened needs training before they become proficient in using their ability. 

*Cough

Sophia, who was dazed from thinking, was startled when Ian coughed and that made her come back to her senses. She looks at Ian who was looking at her face which made her lower her head in embarrassment for being dazed while looking at him.

Ian saw her embarrassed face that was beet red and was wondering if smoke will appear on her head like in the anime. Nonetheless, he didn't linger on the topic since it's already awkward for Sophia and look at the dead bodies and said-

"After you identified all the dead bodies with the crystal it's my turn now."

Sophia who heard his word look at the dead bodies in curiosity, she didn't look at Ian and just looked at where the dead bodies were since she was still embarrassed

Ian who was satisfied at her response also moved his hand, he made all the dead bodies that Sophia pointed earlier float at the same time that becomes a spectacle to behold. Almost half of the dead bodies float at the same moment he moved his hand. 

Sophia who was looking at his side almost forgot to breathe, she looked at the 30 plus dead bodies floating in the air with astonishment.

Ian took a glance at her face and smiled smugly, making 30 plus bodies float was easy since they were just corpses. But making a living being float at the same time was a different matter, he didn't know why but controlling inanimate objects was easier than living beings. 

Making the weight of a human being, being light as a feather is easy if they won't resist, but if they resist, the effects can be canceled. While increasing the weight of a human being can consume energy faster than usual which makes it ineffective to those who are stronger than him. But it will become a different story if he becomes stronger or obtains items from the system with a similar effect which can make him float an entire island with just a touch. But it's for the future chapter.

Ian controlled the bodies and move Them to the place where the alpha dead bodies are since that place is much more open with destroyed trees everywhere.

After making the dead bodies form a line on the ground, Ian next moves all the remaining bodies on the other side stacking each other since he plans to put it on his inventory for quick money. Rather than disappearing later, it was better to sell it to make fast money for him. Of course, he won't say it to the raiders that were on the other floor but he will tell it to an individual to make her an accomplished.

"And the only thing to do was to take the crystal and we're finished," He looks at the gawking Sophia who can't accept that it's only the work of one person and that person was also a porter like her. If she tells the tale to other people, they won't believe her for sure.

"Ahaam! Let's go and finish it." Ian didn't wait for her response and directly let her float with him. After a few seconds, they landed at one of the bodies of the lining corpses of red wolves.

He saw Sophia unconsciously moving her hands towards the body to start her work. But he stopped her and said.

"Here! you can borrow my knife, It's a special knife that I receive, it will be easier to remove the crystal inside the body with this knife."  he offered.

Sophia looks at the normal-looking folding knife that has the color blue Ian offering her. Then shakes her head and says.

"But what about you?"

Ian shook his head at her considerations and said.

"It's okay since I still have an extra with me, that's why I am letting you borrow the other one."

Knowing that she won't have a choice since if she rejects it will be rude of her, Sophia accepted it.

"Thank you," she mumbled.

"It's nothing," Ian replied.

Sophia who received the knife looked at it curiously since it looked like a normal folding knife in her eyes. She also thought that her knife was sharper than what she was holding.

Ian who saw her face that was doubting his knife that comes from another world explains to her how to properly use the knife. 

Sophia who was listening to his explanation has a look of skepticism on her face, she looks again at the knife she is holding not believing what Ian said.

Shaking his head he said. "Seeing is believing so you can try what I said but be careful."

Nodding her head Sophia tried what Ian explained. She first pokes the red button on its handle that is conspicuous as If saying "please push me".

After pushing the button, the folding knife transforms and becomes a blade knife with a silver color. 

The blade features a wicked design with a silver-finished blade and hilt. The deeply engraved guard and grip are metal with unknown origin. The two projections on each side of the guard look like the scorpion tail. The pommel represents the scorpion's sting and is not very sharp at first glance. There are four small cutouts present on the blade near the tip. Its overall length is 16 inches with 8 for the blade and another 8 for the handle length.

Sophie was surprised that she suddenly let go of the blade knife which Ian used his ability to make it float before it hit her toe which Is dangerous with how sharp the blade is.

Ian exhales in relief while Sophia becomes embarrassed again for her carelessness.

" It's alright since nothing happened, but be careful next time since like I said earlier that knife is sharp, sharp enough that it can cut the alpha In half without resistance so really be careful," Ian said before she apologized again.

Sophia didn't say anything and just nodded her head, she picked the knife blade that was floating in front of her and began skinning the corpse. The moment the blade touches the body, she doesn't feel resistance at all, it's like she is cutting a paper so that it becomes easy to dissect the body. She finished it in a few seconds and it made her speechless. If she uses her previous knife, she will finish it in thirty minutes before she finds the crystal. But now it only takes her a minute less to dissect a body of a red wolf that has thick and hard skin.

She looks at Ian who was also effortlessly bisecting the body and blushes from shame for doubting his word earlier. She didn't know how many times she became embarrassed when she was with Ian that made her want to find a hole and bury herself.
