Chapter 31: Lesson for the idiot I

Darkness was still in the sky. Moon still illuminates the world, giving it a dim light to signify that it was still there.

But over the horizon, the sun can be seen rising, it wants to cover the moon to let its sunshine shine to the world, signifying it's his time and taking over the moon role.

People can still be seen walking and talking on the street. Even though it's about to be morning they still didn't lose their energy after a whole day passed. 

Gifters still roamed different shops and stalls looking for something they liked while others just passed their time.

It's still like a festival there but it's a festival In the morning. Although there are no more coloring lights on the surrounding, people seem to don't care. They just enjoy their life to its fullest.

All of it was going on the front of the green portals with a tier-one level. Although it's dangerous to be near it, people tend to grow balls if there are so many people so they don't care about the danger it poses.

They also believe that it's going to be alright with how Gifters raided it daily that make Stampede happening becoming nil.

Stampede was a phenomenon where monsters coming out of portals leaving their dungeon because of someone with a high intellectual monster leading them or due to the congested place they were living.

That's why the dungeon needed to be raided daily because if the dungeon Core wasn't found and destroyed, monsters would keep spawning and generating until they became overcrowded.  

And the disasters happened to be called Stampede.

'Finally!' Ian though 

He looks at the people in the distance from where he is and sees people with different kinds of appearance and clothing.

He finally breathes fresh air once again. Unlike inside the dungeon where the air was not natural for unknown reasons.

The journey back to the outside was peaceful but not fully since he feels someone staring dagger at him all the time but he ignores it so it's still peaceful for him in the end.

The walk becomes faster due to Ian's ability. Balt, Katherine, and Sona were at the front. They walked faster even though they were still injured. Pitt follows behind them with no problem even if he was carrying the body of a monster with Ian and Sophia behind him. Ian didn't need to use his ability on Sona's for the reason they were carrying nothing with its weight being non-existence.

And most of all Lindo. He was further back since he was injured and exhausted. No one helps him. He follows the rest like a lost dog keeping track of its owner. Due to that, he keeps staring at Ian's back with bloodshot eyes gripping his sniper tightly that if not because of Balt warning, he for sure will pull the trigger at Ian.

Lindo holds back his urge to kill with his teeth clenched which made it produce a sound because he knew that he didn't have the power to fight Balt. Even if he calls his brothers outside, no one will help him since they also know how strong Balt and his team is.

Lindo was just a temporary team member that has been added for the raids but he knows how strong they are, after all being a B rank Gifter was not just a show. They earn those ranked for their strong capabilities that were honed true multiple battles with their lives on the line.

So Lindo just swallows his anger for now given that he can still do what he wants after they are disbanded.

After coming out of the Portal, they already garnered full attention from people nearby. Many exclaimed, amazed by how strong they are just from seeing the gigantic body of the Boss.

But they didn't give them care considering that it was a normal occurrence. Being a high-ranked Gifter also gives them popularity so it's normal for them.

Ian just looks at the people crowding them before looking at the people wearing a suit coming in their direction.

He was a president before he came to this world so being exposed to people was just like how Lindo looked at him. He didn't care. So he was more interested in those people coming in their direction even though he knows that their objective was Balt who was their current leader.

Ian saw how those people on black dispersed the crowds with words saying that they are from the guild.

He saw the leading man with a glass walking in front of Balt. He didn't know what they were talking about since he couldn't hear them from a distance even with his enhanced hearing.

He and Sophia stand near the entrance with the body on their shoulder. While Pitt on the other hand, who was about to take the body he was carrying to the transportation the men in black brought, almost stumbled when he felt the original weight of the corpse. Thankfully he has a great reflex or else he will embarrass himself in front of so many people.

He looks at Ian who was huffing as though he was tired. And nodded his head in understanding. And continued his walk as If nothing happened.

Balt, Sophia, and Katherine also felt the loss of Ian's ability and looked at him at the same time, they also saw how he was breathing heavily that made Balt motion the people from the guild to carry the body Ian and Sophia carried.

Two Guild personnel moved in the direction of Ian. They look at Ian and Sophia with disdain. Although they are only Guild Personnel they were still stronger than those Porter so they scorn Ian who has a problem from just carrying a single dead body.

Ian frowned at their attitudes towards him. Although he didn't care about Lindo, it didn't mean that someone could just mock him on his face.

Although he looks like he was breathing hard, it's just his acting for the sake of being exhausted for using his ability. Since he was still playing the role of a low ranked Gifter after all.

Looking at their face, he smirked inwardly and thought about teaching these two idiots a lesson they can't forget.
