Chapter 33: Mia

The flight ride towards the headquarters was fast. They didn't need to worry about the traffic since they were in the sky.

No one talks and only silence transpires. Sona we're resting to recover even just a little of her energy. She was truly tired from how many skills she used that her energy reserves were almost gone.

Ian and Sophia were looking at their windows. Although there Is nothing to see except for the clouds and sometimes tall skyscrapers that can be seen from their positions.

It's their first time riding a Hover Car for they didn't have money or even If they have, they won't use it for something one time use since they were poor.

An hour passed quietly. An hour was not a long ride since if you use the ground then you can reach the headquarters for a few days or more, depending on your ride.

Just from a distance, Ian can see a towering Skyscraper with transparent color. Although it looks like it's made from glass, it's far from the truth.

The tower was one of the strongest and most powerful defense towers this country had. It was made of unknown parts. Some said that they got it from the highest Portals that appeared in this country which is the red portals. 

This tower also becomes the shelter of people if some stampede happened. So it's become the strongest and powerful defense for the monsters.

It was owned by one of the powerhouses of the world who received their ability after Apocalypse started. So you can say that it was also one of the oldest buildings here.

So many generations departed and it was passed multiple times to its descendants so the owner of that tower currently was also the strongest ability defender in this country. 

He was also the guild leader of the strongest guild in the country. His name is Yani Ad Bayani. An S rank of the country with his ability called [Absolute Diamond].

Ian only knows that much because it's basic knowledge for all to know since it's also on TB that we're constantly playing that even a child would know it.

After getting off the HC Ian and the group saw 2 groups of people waiting for them. Pitt and the rest appear to arrive earlier than them with Balt who rode with his manager.

After all of them gathered, they stride to the entrance of the headquarters.

After entering and getting on the elevator Ian and Sophia separated after reaching the Fifth floor where Ian Manager Mia was located.

Balt nodded his head and didn't say anything and when Ian looked at Lindo, he saw him slithering his neck that only made him smile that irked Lindo further.

Ian waved his hand at Sona who was waving at him. He isn't unfriendly to Sona since she was a good girl who talks friendly even to those low ranked Gifters which Is rare for someone who has a strong ability.

As for the rest, he just nodded his head out of courtesy. He didn't know them much and they also didn't know him so basic courtesy was all it needed.

"Let's go." He said to Sophia who was just standing there on his side. She didn't talk, she was just like a statue. No one talked to her so she didn't talk. Even if someone talks to her she still wouldn't talk, she will just nod her head.

Navigating the fifth floor was easy since he already got here once. The Fifth floor was an office for low-rank Gifters And Porters, it has partitions that are dividing the place.

Inside one of the room offices on the fifth floor at the end of the hallway. A woman with a glacial hair color was looking outside her office through the transparent glass. She was facing her back at her desk and door.

She was currently leaning on her soft-looking chair with black color. She was looking outside due to boredom.

Her name is Mia, currently being a manager of the Grand Diamond Guild, or [GD] for short. She becomes a manager not because she wanted it, it was because she was forced on it. Forced to it by her parents.

Mia's parents were also high-ranked Gifters like her but comparing ranks, she was still weaker compared to her parents. So being knowledgeable about how dangerous the Portals are, they ban her for an entire Year from entering it.

They also take all her money that only her dress remained and was transferred to his uncle's country who is the guild leader of a Guild which she is currently working.

She is an A-ranked Gifters with a powerful ability called [Crystallization] she can use her ability to manipulate cold and ice. Variation of Water Manipulation.

She can create, shape, and manipulate ice, water frozen into a solid-state and appears naturally in forms of snow, slush, hail, icicles, ice spikes and candles, glaciers, pack ice, frost, and polar ice caps, and cold by reducing the kinetic energy of atoms and thus making things colder, for various effects and combinations.

She has a powerful versatile ability that made her one of the strongest Ice ability users in the world. She loved adventure especially inside the portals that have a dangerous level. She loved to see different things and fight stronger monsters which made her life in constant danger that also made her parents worry which made her current dilemma.

When she was about to close her eyes, she heard her door open which made her mood worsen. She was about to freeze the man who was bothering her but stopped when she saw two people, a girl which she didn't recall seeing and a teen she barely recognizes.

She was surprised for a moment looking at the youth. She almost didn't recognize him. She looks at his aura of confidence that was nonexistent previously. 

If she didn't recognize his face and clothes she would freeze him for the thought of another man pursuing like the other fly she freezes.
