Chapter 39: Hoodlums Fate

Sophia unconsciously moved near Ian when she saw many hoodlums surrounding them. She knows that they don't have good intentions coming for them.

Ian was composed when he saw the bunch. He already senses malice watching them from afar when they come out of the establishment so he was not surprised if they were ambushed on their way out or whatnot. But for sure his senses got enhanced by the pills.

"What do you want?" Ian asks the classic question victims ask when they were about to be robbed by their assailant.

The red-haired man raised his eyebrow when he saw how calm Ian is even though they are already surrounded.

But it seems his goon didn't notice this since they were already laughing at how Idiot Ian is for asking an obvious question and keep mocking him.

"Hey, porter boy, give us your IDC and scram." Goon 1.

"That's a right weakling. Just turn around after you leave your IDC then you'll be alright but of course you will leave the girl behind hahaha." Goon 2.

"Hahaha, right right leave the girl behind." laughed the rest Of the goons.

Ian was counting the total of all hoodlums while checking his surroundings. Although it's for self-defense, if someone saw him cripled these guys, it would become a pain in his ass. Thankfully they are still in the dark alley which made it hard for people to notice.

He didn't put the words these Idiots said to him. He just let it enter his left ear and let it out on his right. 

He looks at Sophia who was afraid since compared to the hoodlums her ability was useless and it's her first time encountering something like this.

He reassures her saying " there is no need to be afraid of a bunch of trash. Just get behind me and I will clean all of them fast."

All the laughter stopped when they heard Ian's words. The leader's frown also becomes deeper. He was displeased when someone weaker than him called him weak. But he didn't do anything, for he was a cautious individual. But his goons was not and was immediately enraged when they heard Ian mocking them.

Goon 1 who warned Ian previously was also one of the enraged, without warning his hand to transform into a hand of a bear.

He leaped at Ian's directions with his transformed hand raised ready to send Ian flying with its strength.

But Ian just looks at him calmly. Without warning a pistol appeared on his hand that was already pointed at the hand of Goon one that was a few meters away from him.

*Bang *Bang *Bang.

Multiple gunshots were heard. There Is also a wailed sound but it got drowned by the sound of the gunshots.

A man was lying on the ground with his hand full of bullets. Blood keeps flowing on it, while the man was already unconscious due to the pain it's received.

Sounds of gunshots still echoed in the alley. But the people in the area were still and silenced. 

No one helps the poor guy lying on the grounds. They want to fight but they can't move. They want to run but still can't move. Some use their ability but only bullets faced them when they were about to move.

The leading hoodlums were full of cold sweat. He didn't think he would mistakenly rob a powerful Gifter. They just want to rob Ian and Sophia out of their IDC for crystal when they saw them carrying an Intact Body selling it and thought that they were just porters of a high ranked party. But it seems he meets his end today.

Ian used his ability on the lot. He made their weight heavy, heavy enough that standing was not an option for them.

For those who used their ability, he directly cripled them by shooting their limbs. Although there Is a blood loss they won't die because of that since being an able user made their body also stronger with a passive fast regeneration.

He didn't want to use unnecessary energy so he also shot those resisting his ability which made the group give up their escape plan immediately when they saw their comrades lying in their blood with a hole in their limbs.

Sophia who was watching had her mouth wide open. She didn't think Ian was this strong. She didn't see his assessment when they were at the headquarters since she was unconscious due to tiredness so seeing a shocking scene where almost all the adults were kneeling due to his power was shocking for her.

Out of 20 hoodlums, there are only 10 who were still conscious while the rest were unconscious. But the 10 who were conscious were also not in their best conditions since they were feeling a mountain on their backs that was ready to crush them if they relaxed for a little moment.

Ian just made their weight 3x their original mass but it's already too strong for them. He knows that they're just weakling so he didn't add that much weight on them if he did it's overkill for them which he didn't want to see.

Looking at their state Ian asked in curiosity what they will choose " I will give you two choices. First, have bullets on your limbs like the other on the grounds, or second, be crushed by the weight and have your bones broken in the end. Decide fast, since I don't have time for the rest of you."

The faces of the 10 hoodlums become whiter when they hear Ian. They didn't think they would meet a devil that laughed at their misfortune.

Ian didn't care about their thought about him. He was not a Saint and he was also not a devil. He was just a guy who will do what's right or wrong from his perspective.

He didn't show any mercy to these hoodlums because he knows that if not him being stronger than them, their positions will change. 

He also believes in karma so this is karma for them that he bestowed.

Seeing that they didn't answer back he talked again.

"I will count on 5, and for those who didn't choose will regret their choices for sure."

Without waiting for Ian to continue counting all of them answered simultaneously.

All of them believe Ian's warning so all of them choose their fate between the two.

Ian nodded his head and shot 3 people out of 10 that made their screams reverberated in the dark alleyway.

While the rest who choose the other choice fainted from the sudden increase of weight on their body. They didn't feel the pain since they all become unconscious but will regret their choice when they all see their body after waking up.
