CHAPTER 76: THEN SOMETHING IS BOUND TO GO WRONG (3)

The captain I managed to capture is still convulsing with bloody foam in his mouth while I am dragging the body of the woman outside and cleaning the blood on the floor. After healing him, I attach his arms and legs to a chair. I also search him just in case. He has a dagger in his boots, and it is pretty similar to the one Tatiana gave me. I also find two bottles: the first one contains a purple liquid and the second one a white liquid. Is it an antidote? I am not sure if K'nor got poisoned earlier, I should make sure of what it is and give it to K'nor just in case. That bolt may have been poisoned.

Five minutes in, the guy is still sleeping. I search him again, and I notice something on his wrist, a symbol: it is a 'K' elegantly designed. Aside from that, there is nothing else. I pull his pants down to the knee and remove the mask. He is a plain man: white skin, brown hair, flat nose, darken lips, a small scar on his left cheek, and his left eyebrow.

Time to wake the sleeping baby up. I take a jar of water and pour it down on him.

"Argh! What? Where…"

"You finally up."

"You…You are still alive. We miscalculated then."

You are pretty calm for a dead man. "Where are they?"

"And here I thought that forty guys for a brat were way too much. Well, we didn't know about the wolfider so-"

"WHERE.ARE.THEY?" I place his dagger in front of his eye. I am the one who gets to talk here.

"What would that change? Let's talk about something more interesting. That dog you have, did you-" I pierce his eye with the dagger.

"Arghh!!!"

"I will ask, and you will answer, do you understand? Nod if you do." The guy doesn't shake it, so I spin the dagger a bit in his eye socket.

"Argh!! Stop!! Stop!" He squirms around like a worm that just got stepped on.

"Do you understand?"

"Yes, yes, I do."

"That's not how I ask you to answer." I spin the dagger a bit faster, making the blood springs out. Finally, he nods with his head. I stop and heal him. When I do, he opens his eyes with stupor.

"Impossible, you can heal such wounds?!!" I stab his thigh this time.

"Gyaa!!"

"I just said I am the one who asks questions." I leave the dagger in his thigh and take the bottle of poison on the table.

"Where are they?"

"I don't know."

"Is that so?" I open the bottle and place it on the table again. "Where are they?"

"I told you. I don't know their location."

"The very fact that you know who I am talking about without hearing any names means you are lying." Since the guy doesn't seem cooperative, I use the Mind reading script. There is only one line floating above his head.

'This guy has defeated all of us?! He is a freaking monster!! I hope at least someone survived and went to request for reinforcements. What a blunder!! The only option left is to trick him and escape.'

So you think you still think you can flee. Interesting. Very interesting. Without asking him anything else, I remove the dagger from his thigh and stab his knee, two times, then his other leg, three times, his arms, four times each, his shoulders, his stomach…

***

I stab every last part of him. I could say it was just to make him talk, but I know deep down that I was just venting my anger. Not only did he probably capture Selene and Excafol, but he also came here to kill me, and he still thinks he can survive this. But more than anything, I am angry at myself. I stayed here all this time like an idiot even though they were suffering somewhere. All because of me. If those guys came here today, that means all this time, neither Excafol nor Selene said anything. They were hanging on all this time. While I was here, enjoying myself like garbage. Every time I think I have changed; life always shows me how much of a trash I am.

For thirty minutes, I stab and heal the captain, ignoring his multiple pleas, at one point, I even stabbed his mouth, removing some teeth and cutting his cheek wide open from the inside.
