Only one person calls me Cassie

Stop freaking out, it might be coincidental." Cam said in a futile attempt to get me to calm down and stop feasting on my nails.

Chan on the other hand was on her phone, after she tried to get me to calm down for about five minutes and I didn't she resorted to ignoring me.

Kayla was freaked out just as me, she was here when Miles made my life a living hell and she got a piece of the pizza too. Chan and Cam came to Patterson High a year after he left so they don't know how much shit we went through in the hands of Miles Wells and his friends, mostly Miles.

As soon as he left his friends lost interest in bothering us and we've had our peace since then. But now I've seen a Wells and it doesn't bode well. Chan's content, she thinks she can punch anyone who bothers us but she hasn't met Miles yet. He's all muscle, once he held my wrist with two fingers and I couldn't get away and when I struggled it hurt and left a mark that faded with time.

All the physical injuries were no longer visible but the psychological ones are still fresh in me. He pranked me once during a birthday party and until today I am scared of the dark.

"Would you two calm down already!" Cam shrieked dragging some attention to us as it was lunchtime and we were in the cafeteria.

"Cam, you've not met him that's why you're chill." I said trying to bite on my thumb nail but Camille swatted my hand away.

"So what if he bullied you, that was two years ago, he's changed maybe but if he isn't then you've got to show him you are or atleast you've got Chan and I, right sis?" She said as she gave her hand to Chan to fist bump.

"Yeah, plus you're not even sure if he's here. You just met someone who can qualify as his cousin," Chan replied.

"Thanks guys, we aren't even sure and we are freaking out," Kayla replied.

"Oh, you're welcome beaut," Cam replied flipping her short hair to no avail.

We started eating and listening to Camille tell us about this guy she met at Peter's pizza the other day. Peter's pizza is a popular hangout spot for teens in our town and you can always count on it to meet Camille and Chantelle there which is kind of understandable for Chantelle since she works there but not so much for Camille. Actually she was employed there the same time as her sister but was fired the next week for according to her 'my energy is too much for them to handle, they bitched on me because of my awesome personality'.

"So when are you two going on a date?" Kayla piped up.

Camille looked at her like she'd grown two heads then laughed, "no one's going on any date Kay, actually he asked but I told him I wasn't interested."

Now it was Kay's turn to look at her like she'd grown two heads, "but you've been talking about him like you like him."

"Oh I do like him, he checks all my boxes but sweetie I am just seventeen, I can't be tied down with a guy, this is my prime, you get? I need to flex my hoe-phase."

"Hoe-phase? Who even says that?" Kayla asked.

Chantelle nudged me and showed me a drawing, she draws and shows them to us. They're really nice and she captures feelings, just don't expect to see rainbows and puppies on her sheet.

"Oh Chan, that's so nice can you send the photo to me?"

"Sure."

"I think you are being stupid, it's just a date and not a marriage, why don't you go and see where it leads?" Yep it was Kayla.

"Because Kay, he will think I am into him and keep coming after me." Cam replied.

"You are into him!"

"And I'm not dating him, forget it."

"Then why are you flirting with him?" Kayla asked, her plate of salad forgotten.

"Stop being dense, everyone flirts."

One of the reasons I am able to get through school without my TV shows because of the show I get from my friends.

And personally, this lunchtime has taken too much time. Just on cue the bell rang signalling the end of lunchtime. My next class was together with Cam and Chan so we made our way over there but Cam made us walk with her to her locker which was on the other side because she had to get a pen. Both of us were walking in front of Chan and chatting.

"The hell!?!"

We spun.

"Oh, it's you." Tamara said as she smoothed her ridiculously short skirt not minding the fact that she spilled milkshake on Chantelle's back .

"Is that your apology," Camille asked taking a step forward but Chan pushed her softly back and moved closer to Tamara and her goons, Stacey and Nina.

"Move back, you're clogging my nostrils with that cheap perfume." Tamara said, rolling her eyes.

Oh she messed with the wrong person.

"Come on Chan, let's go we are gonna be late." I said.

"Both of you go, I'll meet you there when I'm done with the principal."

I started arguing but she did that telepathy communication thing with her sister and the three girls started sashaying away. Cam dragged me away towards our class as I heard the sound of a locker slam.

Cam and I got easy passes in the class because we are cool like that.

Nah, it's because the teacher's Cam's uncle.

There were two empty seats one was beside a cheerleader, Cam took it and the other was beside River Wells, I took it sighing.

"Hello Cassie."

I froze, that's so not Dean Wells' voice and only one person calls me Cassie.

That is Miles Wells voice.

I repeat, somebody please shoot me!
