I turned around instantly, only to see a subhuman like man standing underneath the strike of sunlight, which was entering forcibly through the caves entrance. He had long platinum hair that was combed back sleek and behind his odd ears. He was wearing a royal blue cape, a bellamy white shirt and black fitted trousers. His eyes were bright green and his lips were an unnatural ruby red. Undeniably, he was beautiful. Though he wasn't completely human. He had odd ears, which I yet couldn't make out from which species and a thin fish scaled tail.
I turned back round to my wound, completely ignoring him. The only thing that occupied my mind was that I needed to wake up now. Once I would realise that I did need to wake up, it would take me at most a minute to bring myself back to consciousness. In which I'd then usually awake gasping, to only realise I was in my bed the whole time.
'Wake up...wake up....' but nothing started to spiral for some reason. Usually right before I make myself wake up I start spiralling. It's similar to the feeling of having your whole life flash before your eyes. Instead of your life however, it was the dream.
'It won't work..' the voice behind me spoke.
Again, I ignored him. I could not interact with this place otherwise it could hold me back from leaving. Its how lucid dreams work.
'You ignore me because you don't want to interact with me .. of course ..because your thinking that way you would wake up quicker.' His statement was absolutely correct. The accuracy only further made me feel an unnerving chill. What was going on... this doesn't feel normal. No, this was out of the ordinary in fact. This isn't meant to happen. You make the rules in lucid dreams.. not the other way round.
'What else do you know that I don't know?' I asked naively, in hopes of getting some sympathy out of him. I knew I needed some sort of help at this point.
'That this isn't a dream.' He said firmly.
I laughed in response. And again, ignored him by not looking back.
WAKE UP, wake up... wake up.. I repeated over and over in my head. Closing and shutting my eyes. Then tightly shutting my eyes and opening. Though every single time I opened them, it wasn't my room that I saw. So I'd close them again and... it was hopeless. I would still be in the cave.
