He suffered a single bite and that's how his life ended. 

But life is sometimes fair as it is unfair. He was given a chance to live again. 

Waking up five years after the Virus Outbreak had started, Tang Yongrui has to work from the ground up to ascend from the Mortal Realm to the Transcendence Realm, rebuild his sect, and annihilate the zombies that ruined his life. 

But to his surprise... he woke up as a one of the infected ones?!

The surprise attack caught Yan Luofan off-guard. His eyes widened, and he stared at me in utter disbelief as I drained him of his Qi Energy. I immediately felt the sudden surge of Qi Energy within me, encouraging the inevitable explosion of pure energy from within my body.

"Y-you, what are you—" This was the first time I heard Yan Luofan panicking, and it brought a smile to my face.

"I'shm taking sh'you with me!" I said from the corner of my lips. Since my teeth were still buried in his shoulder, my speech was a bit unclear. But I got the message across, so that's more than enough, I guess.

Slowly, my body turned into pure energy, a brilliant flash of light that illuminated the entire Higher Plane, or so that's what I'd like to assume. There was no way I could illuminate an entire dimension, but here's hoping.
