After receiving a call from Ger, about a conversation my sister had with Hailey, I started seeing red and getting angrier by the seconds.
Dad tried speaking to me, but I couldn't stand and listen so grabbing my keys, I drove to the gym, needing space and a punching bag instead of paying my mother a visit which at the end could destroy David Sullivan's case and leave my mother free.
I knew she met Sullivan, but to throw it back at Hailey, especially being well informed that she hasn't met her father, not because she didn't want to but because she wasn't aware of his existence.
I need to tell her, everything but, I can't afford to lose her like I have been doing for the last few weeks.
Hailey have only been in my life for less than a year but during this time she has come to mean more to me than my own life.
She's given me a zeal and purpose, once again! Punching the boxing bag angrily, but instead of seeing David Sullivan's face, all I see is my mother and her daughter, whom she's grooming exactly as herself.
I need to safeguard my sister from the path my mother is leading her on but the behaviour Chubbs has been displaying of late, frustrates me to the core.
God forbid, if my sister becomes a mini version of my mother, sowing her own destructive path, especially as my mother's is about to end.
Her last phone call was a plea for help, after hearing the news briefing concerning David Sullivan's appeal.
Realizing I won't get involved, she tried threatening me about Hailey's inheritance which is still in tact, after my visit to Knox's office but she believes, everything now belongs to her daughter, my sister.
I can see fraudulent dealings coming into play when mom is imprisoned for her crime, not just against Hailey's mom, but my father, Chubbs, me and especially Hailey!
Her greed for more led her down a destructive path and finally dad have thrown in the towel. I have already requested dad's personal lawyer to draft up divorce papers, which will hopefully be legalize before David Sullivan is home.
After reaching the age of twenty one, behind David Sullivan's and my mother's back, Knox secured Hailey's assets, with the company, properties, stock and millions that not even her father can touch, unless Hailey signs over what she owns to him.
I didn't understand why I needed to marry Hailey but Knox explained it was all to get her wealth that my mother couldn't even touch because of my mother-in-laws will, which even tied Sullivan's hands.
I kept punching until I felt drain, only then realizing I didn't bring water.
Picking up my towel, I walked to the dispenser, greedily drinking and refilling my disposable cup.
Stretching my hands against the wall, leaning me head downwards, I watch my sweat fall to the ground, my workout doing absolutely nothing to ease the pressure in my head, the pressure that ultimately leads to a migraine.
Squinting my eyes, I walked toward the showers to call my father for a pick up, when a body hit ran into me.
Spinning around, i came face to face with a gorgeous blonde, smiling seductively at me.
"Uh sorry," she sang, "I had my head down so I didn't see you," she recites softly then waits for me to respond.
Finally I let good manners prevail and acknowledged the blonde, whose definitely trying in vain.
Nodding, "I'm good no casualuties here," I responded politely, walking towards the men's room observing the blonde following me from the corner of my eyes.
I'm aware that there are cameras all around this area but not inside the bathroom, so I stopped and turned to confront the blonde.
Pointing in the direction we just came from, "the ladies room is back there," I tell her but by her smile, I sense she's up to no good and trying to entice me into her, no good.
With the same coy smile, "I was going to join you, hoping I could help you, uh, shower," she sang, angering me by the seconds but I tried to remain calm despite the increasing pressure in my head.
"I'm good and my wife is more capable to help me take a bath," I responded smoothly, observing the blonde masking her surprise at the mention of the word, 'wife'.
Looking over her shoulder, blonde chuckle softly which adds to my annoyance, already deciding to close my membership from this gym, if this is the type of people they let in.
"Well she's not here," blonde laughs, standing less than a feet away looking up at me, attempting to flirt with me.
"Huh," shaking my head, I walk past the blonde and headed straight towards the front counter, throwing the towel I held, around my neck, ignoring the blonde calling me, by my name.
I stood in front of the counter clerk, my palms flat on the counter, glaring at the clerk.
"I need to make a call but your security obstructed me from entering the locker room." I threw angrily at the clerk who should have been observing the monitors, instead of fiddling with her phone.
Confused the clerk stared at me dumbfounded, "I'm sorry Mr. Knights" she looks around the room, "uh, all our security are out on the floor," she says slowly, speaking to me but eyeing her phone after it pings.
"Cancel my membership instantly," I instructed her, returning to the men's locker, bolting the door behind me, locking out the blonde who was still standing on the outside, of the locker.
Instead of showering, I made a quick call for dad to meet me outside the gym because he of all people understand my headaches.
Gerard's SUV rolls up in front of me, with Hailey and Emmy still with him, forcing me to jump in the front, reclining the seat, closing my eyes.
