Chapter 327: Forgive, Not Forget

The streets of North Omni were much quieter now that it was night time. There were still young couples and drunkards roaming about. The streets were lit by magically powered street lights on this moonless night.

Two people in hooded cloaks were walking side by side along the street. Matthew wore a red cloak and Ajax wore a black one with green trims. They both had their hoods down since there was almost no one around to see them. They had already been walking for a while, taking in the scenery of this quiet street. Cats were seen walking along the edges of the wall and sounds of them fighting over food could be heard. There were no dogs apparently.

“Sorry for dragging you out here. I was just in the area when I noticed you.” Ajax finally opened his mouth after some time.

Matthew was slightly surprised when Ajax suddenly spoke. “It’s okay. But I would appreciate it if we can keep this short. My companions aren’t the type to sit still when I’m not around.”
