Noah Gladis

RINGG RINGGGGG

The bell rang indicating the students that it was recess. All of the students had went to the cafeteria in pairs and groups. Charlie was about to ask Evelyn to go eat with him but she had already left him in the classroom alone. Charlie had no choice but to go eat alone.

He thought. Suddenly, an unfamiliar girl came up to him with a smile.

"Hey, you're the new student right?" she asked politely.

He nodded, confused as to why she would approach him when she should've went to the cafeteria like the other students.

"Let's go to the cafeteria together!" Her face lit up, showing some kind of excitement.

Charlie smiled, relieved that he didn't have to spend the recess on his own.

The girl introduced herself as Rebecca Kim. It turned out that she was in the same situation as him and that she wanted to make friends.

They both ate together at the same table in the cafeteria. They started to talk more about themselves and their lives to get closer to each other.

Suddenly, the door opened wide and the atmosphere became quiet. Charlie and Rebecca couldn't help but to look at the direction the students were looking at.

Standing proudly as ever, the school's popular boy had arrived. He went by the name Noah Gladis.

It was the guy who had long loved Evelyn. He was the son of the principal and due to his father's dignity, the teachers in school didn't dare to lay a single finger on him.

Aside from his background, Noah seemed to be looking for a specific person in the cafeteria and it looked like he had found him when his eyes were locked on Charlie who was busy talking to Rebecca.

Noah dashed towards Charlie, leaving his friends by the door. He wasted no time and grabbed Charlie by the collar.

"Are you sitting next to my Evelyn?" He asked aggressively, hinting his anger.

The students went dead silent, knowing well how it was about to go. Naturally, Charlie nodded to him as a response.

Noah slapped him on the cheek leaving no time for Charlie to even process the situation he was in. "That was a warning for you," He said indicating the slap was for Charlie to stay away from Evelyn.

The discipline teacher took notice of this and asked the three of them to go to the office to hear an explanation.

The teacher started asking questions but Noah just left them unanswered while glaring at Charlie and Rebecca as a threat to not tell the teacher about the real situation that happened.

They were both scared of the consequences so they both obeyed and kept quiet about it.
