Dinner Part 1

They walked on the sidewalk together, laughing and chatting to each other merrily. They were all still as energetic as ever despite all of the hardwork that they already did that day. They seemed to have gotten along with each other so well and that made Charlie very happy, knowing that he had great friends that he can rely on. They were all so busy talking that they didn't even realized that they had finally arrived at Granny Nancy's Bakery already. It was 7pm by the time they were there. Charlie took the lead and the door of the bakery, inviting the smell of baked goods to flow right into his friends' noses, making them even more excited. They wasted no time and walked inside with Charlie following them after. Charlie placed his backpack at his usual place and went straight to the kitchen.

His friends walked around the bakery, trying to find the table that they could sit on together. They scanned the whole bakery and agreeded to take the table that was close with the window. The table had 10 seats . They walked towards the table and sat on their own seats. It was clear that they felt relieved as they finally got to sit down and relax after a whole day of working. Shortly after, they were all greeted by Granny Nancy who was just making her way towards their table.

"Wow, I can't believe that Charlie made this many friends. I'm so grateful for that," she commented, looking at them with soft eyes, admiring each and one of them individually. They sent her a delighted smile, replying to her statement in the most polite way possible without saying anything else.

"To celebrate on your hardwork at school today, how about I'll feed you kids with some tasty food? I'm sure you're all very hungry by now. And don't worry, it's my treat," Granny Nancy continued, wanting to treat Charlie's friends as pleasantly as she could.

"Thank you so much!" They all said in sync, genuinely finding Granny Nancy the nicest grandmother ever in the world. They felt so cheerful and lucky to unexpectedly be eating dinner for free over at Granny Nancy's Bakery

"I'm going back to the kitchen to prepare your food now," the old woman said, sending them the most heartwarming smile ever before turning around and headed towards the kitchen. They continued their chatting after Granny Nancy had left to go make them their dinner. It didn't take long until they ran out of things to talk about so it became silent for a while.

"I'm bored. Let's play truth or dare! Who ever decline is a loser," Brian smirked slyly, forcing everyone to participate in his little game by his words. The idea suddenly popped up in his head and it got him thrilled just by the thought of it so he immediately suggested it to everyone who was also bored at that time. They all stopped for a moment and thought to themselves. They looked at Brian and nodded their head in agreement, following Brian's excitement.

"Brian, pick a person," Giselle voiced out, not wanting to wait anymore. Just as the question was asked, Brian instantly looked over to Rebecca who's seat was right beside the window. He gave her a look and it made her look at him with a bored expression. The speed of Brian's head turning towards Rebecca caught everyone's attention and caused them to also look at him. However, they immediately understood what his message was. They all nodded, agreeing in his choice. Rebecca looked at all of them in confusion, not caught up with anything that was going on.

"So, Rebecca. Truth or dare?" Jayden asked, smiling at her sheepishly as she tried to figure out what was going on. It was her first time ever playing the game with her friends so it was a very difficult choice to make for her. She thought less about it and just chose truth, trusting her friends that they wouldn't ask too much of a weird stuff. Weng who was sitting right in front of her smirked. He brought a fork up towards her face in the intention of scaring her.

"You have a crush on Charlie, don't you?" He gave her the question, the smirk never leaving his face. He was closing in the gap of the fork and her face, trying to make her answer honestly by scaring her. The question had shocked not only Rebecca herself but it had also triggered Evelyn who was sitting from the same side as Rebecca. Evelyn immediately fixed her gaze towards Rebecca without blinking, waiting for her answer anxiously. Rebecca became silent after receiving the question asked by Weng. She felt her face starting to heat up as a red tint slowly appeared on her face.

"Oi answer it," Hana said, nudging Rebecca by her arm. She then hesitantly nodded her head quietly, answering the question shyly. She trusted her friends strong enough to admit her feelings to them. Just as Evelyn saw her response, she unconsciously balled up a fist tightly, completely overtaken by dissapointed and anger. However, Evelyn was not the only one dissapointed by Rebecca's confession. Brian who had been Evelyn's friend since they were little, was also dissapointed by Rebecca's answer. The confession had instantly killed Brian and Evelyn's mood to play the game while the other smiled in satisfaction as they had expected Rebecca to respond that way.

"Okay, who's next? Hm, Jayden!" Harry said enthusiastically, pointing his index finger towards Jayden.

"Not me! This game is so childish. I don't wanna play it," He declined, trying to avoid getting picked as their next target. His attempt failed as he was forced to play along with them. He gave up, annoyed by his own friends and decided to just follow what they want.

"Truth or dare?" Hana questioned.

"Dare," he instantly answered, not thinking twice. It seemed like from the beginning, he had thought of just going in for dare whenever he's the one to be asked. Harry got an idea of what to make him do so he went closer to Jayden's ear and whispered something to him. Jayden's eyes immediately widened in response after receiving his dare.

"If you refuse to do the dare given, an even greater punishment will await you," Weng reminded him, smiling devilishly. He seemed to have the perfect punishment in mind to give to whoever backs out on a dare. Jayden was still in shock and was still processing the dare that he had received. Harry gently slapped Jayden's shoulder and it immediately made the black haired boy stood up without his own will.

"Giselle," he called, still in his standing state.

"Yeah?" She replied, her eyes looking straight towards him in anticipation. She was a bit weirded out as to why her name was suddenly called out by him.

"I actually..." right before he was going to finish his sentence, he suddenly got cut off by Charlie who was in the kitchen.

"Weng, Harry, Jayden and Brian. Can you help me bring the foods and drinks to the table?" Charlie yelled loud enough for them to hear him from the kitchen. Jayden immediately ran towards Charlie, probably running away from continuing his dare. He was then followed by the other 3. Evelyn, who had been quiet since the game started, looked over at Rebecca at a glance. Then she was reminded by something.

-FLASHBACK-

"We're heading off now. Bye Charlie!" Brian said while Evelyn sent Charlie a smile. They both walked away from the bakery. Their house was in the same row so they decided to go home together. The atmosphere seemed awkward and quiet for a while until Evelyn voiced out.

"How long have you liked her?" She suddenly asked, making Brian looked at her in shock and disbelief.

"Uhh, it's so embarrassing to say," he replied while his face went red, making him almost look like a tomato.

"Just tell me. You know well that I'm good at keeping secrets," she said as she nudged him by his arm, smiling sheepishly, knowing well that he can't run from her question.

"I guess I'll tell you a little bit," he sighed, giving in and finally decided to tell her his story. He brought his head up into the sky. He watched as the moon shone brightly, lighting up earth all on its own. Evelyn eyed him weirdly, finding his action a bit funny.

"I.. like her because she's the only that understands me," he started as he fixed his gaze away from the moon and over to Evelyn. He laughed after witnessing her face expression.

"Cringe isn't it?" The tall guy laughed awkwardly as he scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"She's my first love. I will never stop loving her even when the worst scenario ever happens," he continued, looking down at his feet as he smiled to himself. The image of her looping in his mind. Evelyn looked at him as she admired his love for her. She was indeed proud of Brian and she promised to herself to always support him no matter what.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

"Why won't you ever notice him, Rebecca?" She thought as she heaved out a sigh, feeling dissapointed for Brian's
