Aunty Cherry

Charlie's face went red from holding back his anger and also from his body's hot temperature that was caused by the fever. The presence of that woman had angered him. It was clear that Charlie had so much hatred burried deep inside of him towards the strange woman. Because of that same woman, Charlie had suffered for so long and his life was almost destroyed. Evelyn who had been watching the whole scene went down, was shocked to see Charlie yelled his anger out to the unknown woman. Her once relaxed mind was now filled with countless of questions waiting to find its answers.

"What relationship does that woman have with Charlie? Why is Charlie so mad at her?" Evelyn became uneasy with the amount of curiosity that was flowing inside of her mind.

"Should I ask them now about their relationship? Is this really the right time for that?" She asked to herself, wanting to understand the situation before her.

"I should ask Charlie later," her mind answered to herself, thinking that it was the best option. She realized that it wasn't the right time to ask questions because the tension in the room was becoming very unbearable.

"Murderer? Oh Charlie my beloved. I—" the woman finally spoke again but her chance of explaining herself was ruined when Charlie cut her off almost immediately.

"What more do you want?! Is my parents' death that was definitely caused by you not enough?! And not to mention, you also stole my late father's company!" Charlie yelled, his anger clearly not calming down. His voice was becoming so loud caused by the amount of dissatisfaction he felt at the time. His feelings that have been long suppressed was now finally revealed all at once. The middle aged woman smirked after hearing what Charlie had said. She then walked closer towards Charlie and went to whisper something to him.

"Do you seriously think that I don't know the company is still under your name?! If you don't want me to disturb you anymore... Then you have to FOLLOW ME. We'll go change the name of the heir right now!" The woman whispered into Charlie's ear. Although despite her whispering, her voice was still loud and clear for anyone to hear. She then aggresively pulled Charlie'a arm. Charlie tried to struggle his way out of her grasp, but to no avail. Suddenly, Evelyn approached them and tried to help by pulling Charlie away from the woman's hands.

The woman was pissed off when she realized that Evelyn was trying to interfere with their business so in order to get Evelyn away from her and Charlie, the woman decided to act more aggressive. She pushed Evelyn ruthlessly, causing Evelyn to fall on her back. The woman had almost succeeded in pulling Charlie away from the bakery when all of the sudden, she received a loud and painful slap on her cheek. The sudden slap had made her loosened her grip on Charlie, causing him to also fall down onto the hard floor. He seemed so worn out when he was laying on the ground, most likely caused by his fever and also the trauma he had to experience.

Leon who saw Charlie fell on the floor, immediately ran towards him. They both went to help Charlie stand up and guided him to the nearest chair for him to sit on. Meanwhile, the woman held her swollen cheek in shock before facing the person who had gifted her the slap.

"M.. Mother," she stuttered her words out upon seeing the person. In front of her, stood her own mother, Granny Nancy. That strange woman in fact had a blood connection with Charlie and she was indeed his aunt. Granny Nancy who had been watching her daughter's arrival in shock was finally brave enough to do her first move on the situation. The old woman herself could not believe that she would slap her own daughter that hard. Her hands was shaking uncontrollably from it. Meanwhile, Charlie's aunt was still standing in shock. The sunglasses that she wore was now laying on the floor.

"What is wrong with you?! Are you not satisfied?! You've murdered your own brother and now you're also gonna murder Charlie so that the company will finally fall into your hands? Is that what you want?!" Granny Nancy scolded, her face looked eather sorrow. Her feelings were mixed between anger, dissapointment. Tears started to pool in her eyes when she reminisced the time where she lost her first child, Charlie's father.

"I.. It's not like that—" the woman dared to speak again but was once again cut off, this time by Granny Nancy herself.

"Then, what is it that you're trying to do? You do know that you're the only child that I still have, right? Your brother is not here anymore. Why did you change, Cherry? I miss my old chil—" the old woman said with tears flowing down her cheeks. However, her words were cut off by her own child.

"Huh, you miss me? Since when did you start caring for me?" Cherry said, scoffing.

"From what I know, you always miss my brother. Oh yeah, silly me! You only cared about my brother. You would never spare a glance at me. But hey! He's dead already so I don't think there's a need for you to talk about him anymore. Do you think he would suddenly revive if you keep calling out his name? Is it?!" Cherry spoke her heart out, the tone of her voice sounding rather rude. Granny Nancy who had been listening to her daughter's words was baffled. Not once has she ever thought that her child would act rude to her. Her heart was broken so she stood there and said nothing.

Cherry smirked after she was satisfied hurting her own mother's feelings. Each of her suppressed feelings was now finally uncovered. She felt no remorse after breaking her mother's heart and in fact, she had zero concern towards the old woman's feelings. She then went to pick up her sunglasses that was still on the ground and wore them to appear more stylish. Her face showed no guilt as she started to speak again.

"I'm gonna go now. Don't worry, either me or William will come here again soon," Cherry said before walking out of the bakery as if nothing happened. Granny Nancy did nothing and let the woman walk away. She then made her way towards the nearest chair and sat on it. The tears that were pooling up in her eyes continued to flow down her cheeks. Charlie looked down onto the floor and silenced himself. Evelyn who had been standing there finally began to understand the situation. Little by little, her piled up questions were answered. However, she still doesn't know the whole story so she was still a bit puzzled.

"Murder? Why did Charlie's aunt murdered her own brother?" She asked to herself. And yet the questions still doesn't have its own answer. Without even knowing, Leon was also thinking of the same thing as Evelyn. Suddenly, Leon's phone vibrated indicating a new message had been received. However, Leon ignored his phone.

At school~

"RINGGGGGGGGG," the bell rang, causing all of the students to feel excited to finally go home. Brian and Rebecca shoved all of their books and stationeries into their backpack and wore them instantly.

"Let's go Becca," Brian said. Rebecca smiled happily and nodded in agreement. She then walked along with Brian. Little did they know, Kevin was secretly following them from behind. While Rebecca and Brian was walking together, they suddenly heard a voice.

"Hmm, you don't even realize how ugly you are yet you still want a good looking guy. That's funny," Tracy said, intentionally mocking Rebecca. Tracy was in fact, one of the most attractive student in the school. She was also popular due to the title of being the principal's daughter. Which only means, she was also Noah's little sister.

Tracy mocked Rebecca when they coincidentally crossed each other. And the spoiled girl was not walking alone. She was walking with her friends which was Suzanne and Hailey. Rebecca who heard what Tracy had said, was hurt. She knew that it was intended for her to hear. Her face began to change into a sad one. She started to distance herself from Brian. Meanwhile, Brian who was walking beside her, noticed her sadness. He then put his hand onto Rebecca's shoulder and pulled her closer to him.

"Becca, don't listen to her. She's only jealous of you. Because... We're besties," Brian said, trying to make Rebecca feel better about herself. However, the word 'bestie' hurt him a little. His heart was broken when he realized the reality. He loved her, but he refused to tell her the truth because he didn't want her to distance herself from him and also because he knew that she had no feelings towards him whatsoever.

"Okay," Rebecca replied, a new smile plastered on her face.
