A dwarf came out from the big steel gate of the castle and like the other dwarves, he is short, bearded and strong. On his back could be seen the handle of the axe, that could be estimated even bigger than his own body, but even with it, he walked like a normal person.
Once Fagar noticed him, he turned his body to the dwarf and kneeled to him, Abel exactly knew what was going on when Fagar said, "Your highness, you are here, I'm glad that you are safe and the orcs didn't breach the gates yet"
Abel did the same and kneeled toward the dwarf, "Your highness, let me introduce myself, I'm Abelard, even though I'm more commonly known as Abel. I'm also the one that commanded all the elves on this field"
The stomping on the ground didn't stop when Abel said this, but soon, he felt a pair of rough hand placed on his head kind of in a sandwiched position. His eyes met with the prince of dwarf eyes. The boy gave the prince an awkward smile as the dwarf looked at him expressionlessly.
That expressionless face soon produced a big happy smile, "Haha, I wouldn't expect these elves to be led by a human boy! Well, races didn't matter anymore, for I owed my lives toward all the elves here!"
A smile emerged on his face as well, "I'll give you my gratitude for your words, your highness. I think with that strong body of your and especially that axe of yours, you could win the fight against the orcs"
The dwarf grinned at him, "Sweet with your words indeed! But yes, I knew I would have won but the civilian life comes first rather than my one life. Anyway, let's forget about the past, we will have a feast tonight!"
Later that night, the city that was once on fire was celebrating, dwarves and elves gathered at the city centre. They were dancing around with a hand occupied with a cup of beer and mouth filled with delicious foods.
They were having a good time while from the distance of the castle wall, 4 men are watching as the feast took its time slowly, "Well, Prince Thorgrim, nice to know your name on this occasion. Why don't we join others in the city centre?"
[Acquainted with the prince of dwarves]
The prince sighed, "Well, I would want to join them but I have much more important matter to do here… with the elves… Let me just ask you a question, why are you at the northern mountain?"
Calendin beside him was about to answer that question but the boy quickly stopped him, "Well, I met an elf before and he told me to go with the elves to eliminate some troublemaking orc's clans"
The prince looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. The tension lasted for a few seconds. Without getting any sort of reaction from Abel, the prince sighed, "Well, I guess I could take your words for it. Can you tell me what are the orc's clans need to be destroyed?"
Abel answered his question, "Well, we defeated the boulder and wolf clans, so there's only once clan left… the gold clan, I don't have any kind of idea of their strength but…"
The prince interrupted his words, "They are strong, you could say they are the strongest amongst all the other clans. I heard a tale once that they even have mages and shamans that are strong, couldn't really underestimate them"
Abel sighed, "Well, even from the name itself, I know they are strong, might need some allies to defeat them. Well, here's my turn to ask you, would you form an alliance with me even if it's a short one only for this purpose?"
He suddenly extended his arm. The prince looked at it with one of his eyebrows raised and then looked at his face. He smiled, and they shook each other hands, "Well, I'm glad you decided to fight alongside me, your highness, now, let's go and enjoy the feast at the city centre, shall we?"
[Relationship with Prince Thorgrim of Dwarves increased by 50]
…
3 days later on the road near the underground city, the dwarves and elves are marching to the east, 'It's nice that the dwarves decided to help me, even they polished and improved the armours and weapons of the elves'
He smiled when he remembered what the dwarves did to help him, but then he remembered what the mysterious elf said to him, 'Is this what he meant by getting some help from the elf's sole enemies? Well, doesn't look like any enemies to my eyes, to be honest"
The prince, riding on his small horse, looked at him and said, "Hey, boy, I think there are some orcs in front of us, looks like they are carrying huge bags on their backs, mostly women and children!"
Abel furrowed his eyebrows and boosted his horse and stopped in front of the group of orcs. They looked at him with a cautious sight. Some dropped their bags and took axes and bows out of it.
Abel got off his horse and unsheathed his sword, he then dropped his weapon to the ground calmly and raised his hands to the air, "Orcs, do not be scared because of my appearance or the people marching toward us, I just wish to gain some audience with the person in charge"
A male stepped forward, like most of the orcs at that point, he is equipped with a simple axe, "I'm the one in charge of this group of orcs, what do you want, human boy?"
Abel responded back, "I just want to know what makes the women and children of the orcs wander to the land of dwarves. May I know if there is something bothering the home of the orcs?"
The orc tilted his head and raised one of his eyebrows, "Well, you are quite smart for the boy your age. The answer is yes, those gold clan's bastard just raided our home, the males are left to fight, and they told me to evacuate the children and women"
The boy heard the prince's voice behind him, "What are you orcs doing in my territory? Is there any problems regarding some other orcs?"
Abel answered his the prince's question, "Well, they said the gold clan invaded and raided their home and the male orcs are currently defending it meanwhile this male orc is leading the women and children to avoid the fighting"
Thorgrim, with a loud voice, ordered them, "The women and children, throw your weapons and go to that camp over there, meanwhile, you, the only male in the group, guide us toward your clan home"
They complied to all the prince's words, and soon, the dwarves and the elves continued. They marched toward the direction the guide said. It was all pure truth and the army soon found the orc's camp that is now being sieged… or not.
The guide collapsed to the ground and with many stuttering, he pointed to the flag flying above the camp, "O-oh no… Th-the ca-camp ha-have fe-fell to the gold clan!"
He turned around and looked at Abel and Thorgrim, with both of his knees on the ground, he kowtowed to them, "Please, Lord, help rescue my comrades or they would be slaves, I beg you this time!"
Abel looked at him and then glanced toward the elves and dwarves. He gulped and suddenly unsheathed his sword and pointed it toward the camp captured and shouted, "Charge!!"
The combined army complied to his order and charged at the camp, they used the part of broken walls and breached gates to slip inside the camp. The orcs defending it stands no chance of fighting against the dwarves and elves.
Abel and Thorgrim with Calendin and Fagar were watching from afar, smirking as they heard the screaming of the orcs inside the camp. About 3 minutes later, the fight was completely over. They entered to camp and instantly noticed the bodies covering most of the ground.
The dwarves and elves are lined just in front of the entrance, ignoring the bodies where they stood on as their commanders entered the camp with the orc guide. Abel smiled when he saw this sight, "That was an easy battle! I'm grateful to you all!"
He exclaimed and all the people there eventually cheered to his words, but then the guide said to him, "Sir… I can't find any of my comrades here, I think the gold's clan people transported them to the capital…."
He was shocked when he heard this but he kept a straight face while responding to him, "Don't worry, we will free them soon at this day, just let us rest here for a while and guide us toward the main camp of the gold's clan"
He bowed to him and then went away, the army rested at the camp while clearing some bodies covering the ground, Abel for some reason collected all the weapons he could find on the ground and placed it inside the magic bag he got from Calendin before.
