Teamwork

( Matthew POV)

" Take the bells?! But how would we be able to do that? When our teacher is a jounin level ninja…" Matthew thought as he looked at Brad who looked calm and serious while Marie looked slightly nervous as Fillyaw adjusted her headband as she held the two bells. " But before we get started we will be having another class join team 7 so be ready!" She said seriously as the three students looked at each other before Fillyaw continued. " The class that will be joining us today has a lot of talent and skill based on their exams. If I were you I would pay attention and work with them, otherwise you won't get these bells and you will be sent back to the academy!" Matthew couldn't believe what he was hearing as he trained super hard to even get into the academy and then get to this point to where he graduated and now it's just another obstacle in his path to becoming a ninja. " It's not fair! But I will become a ninja and then become the hokage believe it!" He thought as he looked at Fillyaw who's eyes looked dead as she shifted her gaze as footsteps could be heard as Mr Keith and his students appeared behind him as Matthew and Brad and Marie turned to look. " Yo Fillyaw it's been a while! Nice of you to invite us." Keith said softly as Malcolm, Alexis and Will stood next to him as Matthew and Brad and Marie all looked at each other, " Hey you! What's your name?" Malcolm asked coldly as his white soulless eyes carefully analyzed Brad as his blue Uchiha shirt gently lifted up as the wind started to pick up as Brad looked at Malcolm annoyed slightly as he noticed the bandages around his arms and the other kid with the green jumpsuit with the blonde hair and blue eyes. After a moment he refocused and turned back to Malcolm who was waiting as he folded his arms, " I'm not obligated to answer…" Brad said coldly as Malcolm grunted in irritation as Alexis giggled, " He's cute!" She thought as Mr Keith rolled his eyes slightly at his student's banter. " Geez you guys are more difficult than going through my basket of highlights…" he muttered as he regained his composure, " Right allow me to introduce my students! On the right is Malcolm Hyuga a proud member of the Hyuga clan and the strongest in Konoha, next is Alexis our tool specialist and lastly is William Lee we look forward to working with you!" Keith said as Fillyaw could feel the tension between Brad and Malcolm as they couldn't stop staring at each other.

" Wait you said the strongest clan?" Brad said darkly as he clenched his fist tightly as Malcolm stepped forward, " That's right the hyuga are konoha's trump card we are the hidden leaf's last line of defense because of our unique dojutsu called the byakugan.." Malcolm said seriously as Brad chuckled slightly. " It's nothing but a joke the Uchiha are way above anything that you can imagine.." he said as Malcolm activated his byakugan as the veins appears around his eyes as Brad readied himself as his left hand went to his kunai weapon case as Malcolm gave Brad a confident smile, " How about we put it to the test than! If you think you are ready.." he said cocky as Alexis smiled to herself. " He may be cute but Malcolm is so far ahead of everyone he not only did he graduate on top of the class but his clan is the strongest in the village, there is no way that he could pose a threat to him!" She thought as Fillyaw stepped in. " That's enough! We did not come here to have a one on one battle between too egos!" She shouted as everyone turned to her as Malcolm's eyes went back to their normal blank white color as Brad looked away, " What the hell was that….his eyes.." he thought as Marie looked at Brad worried. " Brad…" She thought as Fillyaw continued, " Alright let me introduce my students as well first Brad Uchiha, Marie Haruno and lastly the loser Matthew Uzumaki.." she said Matthew's name with a bit of disappointment as Matthew was instantly upset as pointed his finger at him. " Hey! you can't say that especially when you couldn't dodge that eraser back at the academy!" Matthew stated as Fillyaw turned to him, " ClassClowns are usually the weakest link you can safely ignore them their losers.." She coldly as she sighed before continuing, " Now that's out of the way we can get to the training now as I told my students your mission is to take these bells away from me use any means necessary to take them. If you are not prepared to kill me...then you will never get these bells, now when I say start you may begin." She said coldly as Matthew quickly reached into his pocket to grab a kunai as he then charged at her as these words echoed in his head, "loser" as Brad and Marie tried to stop him but he was already inches away from Fillyaw. Brad and Marie's eyes widened as Fillyaw had Matthew's hand pinned behind his back as well as having the kunai aimed at the back of his head.

" Don't be in such a hurry...I didn't say start yet" Fillyaw said as Matthew grunted in annoyance as Malcolm and the others watched as Keith at them smiling, " Alright guys go and get those bells." Keith said softly as Malcolm looked away as Alexis nodded and Will saluted. " Yes Keith sensei!! Will shouted as Keith laughed loudly, " That's the spirit Will that's the power of youth!" Keith shouted as Fillyaw rolled her eyes at that statement. " Okay ready….start!" She shouted as all the students disappeared into the trees. Keith nodded as he took a seat next to the the large black stone as he reached inside his pouch and grabbed his bento, " A ninja must always conceal their presence and hide effectively." Fillyaw shouted as Brad hide in a nearby tree holding branch as Marie was prone under a bush. Malcolm was hiding behind a tree while Alexis readied herself with her shurikens and kunai as Will slowly I did the bandages around his arms, " At least they understood that part, they've hidden well.." Fillyaw thought as she gazed around before she looks forward to seeing Matthew standing in the middle of the field. " I'm not going to sit and hide sensei! Me and you right now fair and square!" He shouted as Fillyaw's expression was dumbfounded, " Compared to the others you a bit..weird" Fillyaw said uninterested as she reached into her pouch. Matthew's body stiffened as Fillyaw reached into her pouch as he readied himself, " What is she doing?! Maybe she is reaching for a weapon! A kunai?! No maybe a shuriken!" He wondered as she pulled out a book and began reading as Matthew looked confused. " W-What's that for? And why are you reading?!" He asked as Fillyaw continued reading, " Why? To find out what happens...don't worry your attacks won't hurt me so it doesn't really matter if I read or not or whatever…" she said as Matthew charged forward.

" I'm going to crush you!!" He yelled as he jumped and went for a punch aiming for Fillyaw's chin but she easily blocked it with one hand as Brad and Marie watched as Matthew went for a high kick to which Fillyaw ducked low as Matthew spun the full rotation as he landed on his feet. He grunted angrily as he turned around clenching his fist, " Now your mine!!" He yelled as Fillyaw disappeared as Matthew blinked in confusion as he looked around. " Don't let your enemy get behind you all the time." Fillyaw said seriously as she held a hand sign of the tiger with her both her index fingers and middle fingers and thumbs together, " Ninja art secret finger jutsu…" Fillyaw yelled as Matthew panicked before being poked deep in the butt as he was sent flying into the water. " A thousand years of death!!" She yelled as Marie's expression was disappointed, " That wasn't a jutsu she just poked him…." She thought as Fillyaw turned back to reading her book as suddenly a large amount of kunais and shurikens flew out of the bushes as Fillyaw looked up. " Too easy.." She thought until she heard another noise as large demon wind shuriken came flying out of another bush on the other side as her eyes widened, " Another one!" She yelled as Alexis smiled, " Heh there is no way she can dodge all my kunai and shurikens plus the demon wind shuriken as well...she's toast!" She thought as all her ninja tools connected as Fillyaw was sent flying into a tree hard as blood began leaking out from the kunai and shuriken which were stuck to her shoulders and knees as the demon wind shuriken was stuck in her back. " I don't believe it…" Brad thought as his eyes were widened slightly as Alexis jumped down and walked over to Fillyaw smiling from ear to ear, " Like I tell everyone Don't underestimate ninja tools!!" She shouted as Fillyaw's body suddenly disappeared and was replaced with a log as her eyes widened. " W-What the ?!how is that possible!!" She thought as she was knocked down hard as Fillyaw elbowed her in the back of the neck, " Don't get too over confident.." she said softly as Alexis was out for the count, as suddenly two shuriken were thrown from the water as Fillyaw easily catches them in her fingers as Matthew springs out of the water with a large amount of clones as one clone slowly comes out the of water when Fillyaw is distracted as it makes its way behind her slowly.

" Your overconfident sensei!! you can stop this, this is my best jutsu!" Matthew yelled as Fillyaw patiently waited. " You can't beat me with this jutsu." She said normally as suddenly she was grabbed from behind by the clone as her eyes widened, " What?! He got me from behind!" She yelled as Brad smirked. " Not bad Matthew.." Brad thought as he grabbed a kunai "That was brilliant!" Marie thought as Matthew pulled back his fist as the clones headed her still, " This is for hitting me in the butt earlier!" Matthew yelled as his fist connected by hitting his clone in the face as blood leaked out of the clone's mouth as Matthew was confused as hell. " tck that moron...she used a replacement jutsu…" Brad thought as suddenly Matthew saw something by the tree. " It's the Bell!!" He screamed as he dived for it, only to be caught by a trap as the rope wrapped around him pulling him up the tree as his screaming could be heard across the field, " A ninja must always see through deception and if something seems to easy don't take it…" Fillyaw muttered as Matthew wiggles helplessly. " This is so not cool…" He yelled " Now's my chance!!" Brad thought as he threw his kunai and then carefully moved from his position as Fillyaw dodged the kunai as Brad suddenly appeared beside him as he jumped into the air and went for a head kick. Being a jouin Fillyaw was more than able to block that attack as she then grabbed his leg and securing her grip as Brad adjusted his body and made a sharp twist as he tried to punch her, she blocked that as well and then he uses his other leg to kick high. However she caught that leg as well now he was captured as he was upside down as he reached over his fingertips touched the bells as Fillyaw's eyes widened in surprise. " This kid!" She thought as she let him go backing away as Brad pressed forward as Fillyaw threw kunai and shuriken causing Brad to dodge and move away taking his eyes off Fillyaw. Brad turned back seeing that Fillyaw completely disappeared as he looked around , " Where did she go?! Above me? Behind me?!" Brad was beginning to panic mentally. " Where…" a voice said darkly before Fillyaw grabbed his leg from underground, " I'm Where you least expect me!" She said seriously before pulling him underground but his head as his body is completely submerged into the ground. " Earth style headhunter jutsu.." She said softly before suddenly Will appeared under her kicking her in the face launching her into the air. " What!!? How could he kick me from that position?!" She thought as Will appeared behind her in mid air, " Keith told me only to use this technique for emergencies however if I don't give it my all than it will all be for nothing!!" Will said as Keith looked up, " What!! He is going to use the lotus!" Keith panicked as Will wrapped the loose strands of bandages around Fillyaw. " Don't use that jutsu!" Keith yelled as Will flinched looking at giving Fillyaw the chance to counter as she tender up causing the bandages to loosen and give way as Fillyaw in quick fashion grabbed his leg and pulled him down as his head was forced down as they landed as his head was shrunk into the ground with his legs spread out together as Fillyaw landed on her feet. " That was too close.." Fillyaw thought as Malcolm sits by the rock with Alexis tending to her as she is still unconscious, " What a strange teacher.." Malcolm thought as Marie appeared behind them off balanced and sweating as she looked over at Brad and ran over to him, " Brad!! Are you okay?!" She asked as she kneeled beside him. " Don't worry about me Marie! She is still out there looking!" He shouted as his eyes widened as Fillyaw performed a hand sign as Marie turned to face her as Fillyaw activated her genjutsu, Marie's eyes were glazed over as fell over and Brad looking angrily at Fillyaw. " Useless all of them…" Brad thought as Fillyaw stood at the front of the field, " Well...well it seems it was the same as last year..students who don't understand teamwork...however they have potential...somewhat". She thought as she looked over at Mr Keith, " Alright I have made my decision…the good news is that you won't be sent back to the academy.." She said normally as Matthew and Marie sighed in relief as Brad stared coldly as he thought to himself. " That's great sensei!" Matthew cried out as Fillyaw's face went dead serious, " Because you all fail you are not even qualified to be a ninja because you all act like spoiled brats!" She shouted as everyone was surprised aside from Brad and Malcolm, " After Alexis had me pinned neither of you lifted a finger to help her and allowed her to go in alone! And Matthew you always do everything on your own everything...Brad you were the worst one of all you let your annoyance get the best of you thinking that they were all beneath you. Because you think it's all about you.." She said as Brad charged forward with the intent of destroying her as the next second she pinned him down, " See this what I'm talking about.." she muttered as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a spare kunai, " Ninjas must always be prepared and have teamwork but you all lack that which in a mission could lead to failure and death for example. Marie kills Matthew or Brad dies!!" She screamed as she put the kunai next to Brad's throat as Matthew began to panic as he was still restrained by the ropes and Marie kept looking back at Matthew and Brad.

" Luckily for you this isn't a mission but if you had been on one of you would be dead!" She said dryly as she stood up and walked over to the black stone, " All of my friend's were buried here because of their sacrifice for the mission..but I'm willing to give you all one more chance but it's going to be much more difficult! So get ready!" She said as Mr Keith started to sweat " I don't like the sound of that…"
