First Mission

(Marie POV)

Time 12:00pm Afternoon

"...She was right, I was too obsessed with Brad and I wasn't useful at all..but this time I have to put those feelings aside for the sake of the team." Marie thought as she was slightly scolding herself even though she had a crush on Brad since the first day he came to the academy at a young age with her childhood enemy Elizabeth whose family owned a flower shop in Konoha, as they met when they were little as she was bullied because of her unique kekkei genkai and Elizabeth stepped in. From then on we have been friends but ever since Brad came into the picture we both have been fighting over who gets him as we both like him. I know it's silly to break up a friendship over a guy but...I can't help how I feel as Fillyaw pointed to the black stone pillar as there were six lunchbox bentos as I make sure to get out of my day dream, " Alright before we begin the second test Matthew will not be allowed to eat a bento as he tried to cheat by eating his lunch before noon and so the first rule is to not feed him no matter how hard he begs and whines, so go ahead and eat to build strength!" Fillyaw demanded as everyone did as instructed much to the disappointment of Matthew.

Brad was sitting quietly as he ate his bento as I thought about what to talk to him a lot as I would always get nervous and freeze up when I'm next to him, " Come on Marie...just ask him.." she pressed herself as she put down her bento. " Hey Brad so you said...that your goal was to kill a certain someone, why is that?" Marie said softly as she watched as Brad's face darkened slightly, " My entire clan was massacred except for me and my sister..and the man who murdered them was someone very close to me..he said seriously as he took another bite. " What's important is that I need power in order to exact revenge for the Uchiha!" He muttered before looking at Marie who was a little shaken by his determination and seriousness. " I-I see well I hope you find whoever it is you're looking for but I also heard a rumor about Matthew." She said cautiously as Brad raised an eyebrow in interest. " And?" He asked as Marie got closer to him so none would hear them as she held her hand up to her mouth, " I heard that Matthew has always been alone and that he has no parents and that would make sense to why he is so weird and a troublemaker. I heard that he barely passed the academy exam.." she said as Brad looked away as he thinks about how he felt being alone with just his sister roaming around from village to village until they found the hidden leaf, but to be alone from the moment you were born and able to walk is something that was...slightly worse than his situation.

The worst part was even though he and Matt didn't really get along or see eye to eye he could feel a connection through their past and he more than anyone understood what it's like to be alone...as Marie kept talking Brad felt himself getting angry as she talks as if she knows what it's like when she has know no clue, she is just talking out of her ass. " Marie.." Brad said deeply as Marie stopped and looked at him. " Yes Brad?" She asked as Brad grabbed his bento and stood up, " You shouldn't judge someone when you have no idea how their life was like when you never experienced it yourself!" He said irritated as Marie looked surprised as Brad took his chopsticks and started feeding Matthew as Malcolm and Will watched in shock as Malcolm gently passed Alexis to Will as he went to Brad. " W-Why did you say that Brad?" Marie asked as Brad turned to her angrily before giving her a dark stare, " Because...you're annoying!" He said deeply as those words hit Marie like the thousand years of death as she felt her heart ache as she was speechless. As Brad continued to feed Matthew suddenly the bento was snatched away from him as Malcolm looked at him angry as Brad turned to him super annoyed now, " What's your deal…" he said his temper reached its limits as Malcolm put the bento too the side.

" I don't appreciate people who don't follow the rules that must less people who try to cheat!" Malcolm said as Brad gritted his teeth as he had enough of this guy, " We don't abandon our comrade!" Brad shouted. " I won't let him or anyone else be a sacrifice…''Brad thought to himself as Brad suddenly went for a kick aiming for Malcolm's head as Malcolm readied himself carefully getting into his stance as he charged forward. Suddenly in lightning speed Will appeared in between them as he grabbed Brad's foot and Malcolm's arm as they both looked on surprised, " We shouldn't be fighting each other as we are a team if we must settle our differences we should settle it at the chunin exams!" Will said seriously as Brad and Malcolm made eye contact before Brad spoke up, " Sounds good to me.." he said softly as Malcolm looked at Will. " Very well then we shall settle this there and I will prove to you that the Hyuga rain supreme!" He yelled before they felt a ominous presence as they both shivered before looking behind them to see Fillyaw standing behind them " It seems Brad broke the rules I have set why did do such a thing Brad care to explain…" she said darkly as Brad looked at her dead in the eye, " Because we don't abandon a comrade and leave them to starve we are together, we're a team!" Brad said confidently as everyone was nervous more so Marie even though she was still shaken from Brad's outburst as Fillyaw looked at Brad seriously. " A team...hmm interesting.." She thought as she looked at everyone before smiling a little behind her mask, " Well...team 7 has passed congratulations!" She said deeply as everyone looked confused. " W-What?!" Matthew yelled as Fillyaw untied him as Marie was just as confused, " But you said if we feed Matthew we would all fail!" Marie yelled as Fillyaw laughed. " Yes I did but all the other students failed because they followed my orders and didn't think for themselves and abandoned their comrade, you see people there are people that are scum..but people who abandon their friends and comrades are worse than scum…" Fillyaw said as she turned to her students. " Team 7 will have their first mission tomorrow so get plenty of rest!!" She shouted as Matthew was going crazy in

excitement as Marie jumped for joy and Will was smiling as Malcolm just ignored it and grabbed Alexis and ushered Will to follow him back to Mr Keith. " Just so you know Brad...this is not over and you better be prepared!" He said as Brad looked at him, " Yeah and I will show you the true power of the uchiha!" He said while smirking as Will looked at Brad and back at Malcolm, " They are both worthy opponents for the lotus.." he thought as he walked back

Later that night

Nara Household

( Cameron POV)

" Again!! Preston that's not fair to your son!! You promised you would come see him!" Cameron's mother yelled as Cameron was easy dropping as he did his best to stay hidden as his dark green jacket was keeping him warm in the cold night though he didn't mind the cold as he prefers it rather than being hot as his mother's black hair gently waved as she ran her hands through it as her expression was stressed. Cameron knew that his parents divorced when he was very young and ever since then they have been fighting over child support and his dad coming to see him and it won't always end in some form of argument as his mother slammed the phone down hard as he decided it was time to leave as he quietly backed out of the room as he quietly walked back toward his room closing the door behind him. Naturally he cherished spending time with his dad as he would always make him laugh and just act silly just to get him to react. Even though his dad was from the Nara clan his mother was from a clan that specialized in ninja tools as her father traveled around the world making and selling his specialized ninja tools that only he could create. Though Cameron couldn't help but feel that his mother had fired ninjutsu as whenever she gets mad, her rage knows no bound but his grandma's is even worse. But recently his mother has had her eyes set on a name named Carlos, he is a traveler but he is from the land of hidden in the clouds. They met when he and his mother went shopping and when Cameron left for a moment to get his favorite food he came back to see his mother and Carlos being flirty, safe to say that he caused a huge ruckus that he sent the man away. Much to the irritation and anger of his mother it was worth it as he didn't trust that guy nor anyone who got too close to her. Overprotective yeah just a little as she is all that he has and he wasn't willing to let just anyone become close to his mother aside from one man who he can slightly trust and his name was Jerald. He was a friend from his mother's ninja tools assistant and they have a good relationship and he could tell that Jerald really does care for his mother and looks out for her best interest. However he is still keeping his guard up until something huge changes to make him reconsider. He does have a small group of friends in the academy, Will and Brandon who were his closest friends besides the one person he met when he was very young and spent most of his childhood with Matthew.

" Cameron?! Come here please you have a special visitor" his mother yelled as Cameron rolled his eyes and sighed as he lifted himself off his bed and opened the door and slowly made his way half way down the stairs. Only to stop suddenly seeing someone who he never thought he would see again. " Hello Cameron it's been a long time…" a feminine voice said softly as her brown hair covered her face as she moved it away slightly, as Cameron was awestruck seeing her here. " Yeah...it has ." Cameron said softly a little bit low toned as he had a huge crush on her ever since first seeing her in the academy but was too stubborn to tell her face to face. His mother gave him that look that said * Take her out and socialize* which made Cameron look away, not wanting to look at his mother in the eyes as they made him cave in as she spoke to Imani. " Well Imani I'm glad you stopped by. Why don't you and Cameron go out and have some ramen." His mother said mischievously as Cameron gave her a hard stare which went unnoticed by Imani, " That sounds nice." Imani said while smiling and Cameron sighed eternally once he walked down the stairs and pushed passed his mother and looked at Imani slightly embarrassed as he was looking down. " I...know a place" He said before walking forward with Imani slowly following as his mother looked on proud of her son. " Have fun, you two don't do anything I wouldn't do." She teased which made Cameron flinch as Imani stared at him intrigued as she wanted to tell him something that she meant to tell him ever since he gave her that letter.
