All the Calculative Businessman's

KNIGHT International.

"CEO Knight, there is news about the land, the Smith's group seems to make a move. I heard that the negotiation is almost done and in the next two days the deal will be finalized." Uncle Joe expressionlessly stated the facts to Oliver.

Oliver raised his cold eyes indifferently and thought to himself, 'Nice, so brave to go against him. Good for them.'

"Let's go to the City Government office now." Oliver put down the file from his hand and stood up.

Municipal Government, Vice Mayor's office.

The vice mayor was processing some documents when he saw Oliver entering his room, he immediately stood up from his chair to greet him.

"Mr. Knight, what a pleasant surprise." When the vice mayor saw Oliver, he had a feeling this meeting would not be pleasant at all. But he still greeted him warmly.

"How are you doing Mayor Wills?" Oliver sat comfortably on the sofa crossing his long legs. His face was completely emotionless giving nothing away.

"Everything is fine, thank you." The vice mayor smiled courteously.

"Good to hear, but I'm not doing very well recently." Oliver's words were as cold as his dark eyes.

The vice mayor naturally understood what Oliver was indicating. It was because of the land, he must have heard the deal is about to finalize for 800 million to auction next month.

"Really, why, what happened Mr. Knight?" The vice mayor pretended not to know what he was talking about.

"I heard that recently someone has been paying too much visit to the city hall." Oliver laughed gently, but the laughter was meaningful.

"Well, it's a government office so naturally lot of people come here every day, in fact recently the office has been very busy." Mayor Wills said with his right hand supporting his forehead, frowning slightly. Yesterday, some people came to investigate him claiming he had a batch of private arms. He was very busy all day dealing with that.

"Mayor Wills do you want to go round and round in conversation with me? Come on give me some face." Oliver took a sip of his tea and said in a low voice.

Mayor Wills said with a kind smile, "I don't dare Mr. Knight."

"You do remember the Mayor's election is about to start within a month, right? A lot of people are looking at that position but I think you are a hard-working person and it will be a pleasure to see you in that chair rather than in prison." Oliver took another sip of his tea and said lightly but the threat was very clear.

Knight family's strength was incomparable in this city. As long as Conner Knight was at the mall, he was known as a real iron fist. His way of handling things was ruthless. Unexpectedly, his Son Oliver Knight was even more strong-minded and cold-blooded than him.

Mayor Wills clenched his teeth. He understood Oliver's meaning very well.

"Mr. Knight, I know what to do, I won't disappoint you." Mayor Wills understood well that The Smiths didn't stand a chance against The Knight's. It will be a wiser decision to have a good relationship with the Knight's especially Oliver Knight. He was too powerful at this moment.

Oliver put down the teacup, and smiled contentedly, "Mayor Wills, you are a wise man, you have a bright future ahead."

"Mr. Knight if you are not busy let's have lunch together?" Mayor Wills asked cautiously.

"Thank you Mayor Wills, but not today. Let's have a drink sometimes." Oliver declined politely. He came here with a purpose that has already been achieved so there was no need to hang around anymore.

"OK, Mr. Knight don't worry I'll take care of it, have a good day." Mayor Wills said meaningfully.

Robert Wills was a calculative man, he was not afraid of Oliver even though he knew Oliver was ruthless and his methods of doing business were really cruel. He still chose to side with the power, whoever was most powerful he will naturally be on their side. Right now it seemed KNIGHT International won over Smith's Group. Wills felt sorry for John Smith. In the past few days, John Smith had run several times in person to negotiate the deal of the land and he even agreed to the high price wills had offered. Wills just wanted to make some profit from the land but now because of Oliver's intervention, he had no choice but to forget about that money.

Smith's group.

In the elegant CEO's office, John Smith and Ethan Smith were sitting on the sofa and having a business chat.

"Dad, 800 million! This land is not worth 800 million!" Ethan just estimated that the land was worth 300 million at most but Mayor Wills offer was 800 million and his father agreed to it.

"Do you think I am a fool? I know right now the land is not worth that much but this land's future value is more than 800 million. KNIGHT International also have their eyes on this land for a long time but I will pay, Mayor wills in advance to secure it and then he will give us the exact quotation. We can win the land by guessing the right price at the auction next month." John Smith explained his long vision to his son.

Ethan could not help frowning. He said coldly: "Dad, even if the land is really worth 800 million, how do you know that Mayor Wills will not double-cross us? You said Knight International is interested in the land as well, what if they make a deal with the Mayor?" Ethan was full of doubt about the deal.

"KNIGHT International is not willing to pay a high price for the land but we are, so we will definitely win this land," John said confidently.

Although Ethan was still unsure but looking at his father's confident face he thought his father was a wise old man, he must be very certain about the land otherwise he wouldn't spend a large amount of money on it. So he decided to not interfere with his decision about the land.

John saw his son didn't say anything else he smiled satisfied and took out a picture from his phone gallery and showed it to Ethan. The girl in the picture looked sweet and lovely. Her watery hazel eyes were so clear and beautiful that could touch someone's soul. Her pink lips were slightly pursed but looked so desirable, and the pink cheek on her white flawless face made her look shy and attractive at the same time. Such a woman, even with a plain face she was pure beauty.

"Look at this picture, this is the girl you are going on a date with, this Wednesday." John shifted the topic and handed his phone to Ethan.

Normally Ethan hated to go on blind dates and especially if his parents fixed it at the last minute, he was going to refuse but when he looked at the girl's photo he changed his mind. She was beautiful. He couldn't stop staring at her. His handsome face showed an involuntary smile.

John saw his son's reaction and was very pleased. He took back his phone.

"Dad, what are you doing?" Ethan asked annoyed.

"So I assume you are going on the date," John said smiling.
