Confrontation about the blind date

"This is the treasure of Green's Group, Ava Green. Although their company is not in a prominent position right now but their daughter is very beautiful. Moreover, a yeast technology researched by their company recently has obtained international patents. If you marry her, it will certainly help your career in the future." John thought as Ava was the only daughter if Green Group marge with them then it will be beneficial for both of the companies. Besides his son and Ava both of them studied abroad they should be compatible with each other.

"What do you mean, dad?" Ethan looked at his father with doubts in his eyes.

"Don't you like her?" John saw through his son's mind.

"Well, she is undoubtedly beautiful but I need to know how she is as a person and of course if she is interested in me because if she is not then I won't take it any further," Ethan said seriously.

He was a responsible man and very serious when it comes to relationships, obviously, he wouldn't give his heart to someone who was not worth it even if she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

John looked at his son and narrowed his cunning eyes slightly. He smiled and said, "Son, I understand that you value love very much but sometimes you have to be practical and make a smart choice like hitting two birds with one stone. You have to think about your future as well."

"I understand Dad."

"The Starbucks in Crystal Street, tomorrow evening, you can go straight after work."

Ethan nodded in understanding, but his eyes fell on his father's mobile phone again. He had high expectations for the girl in the photo.

The sunset in summer was particularly beautiful, which has dyed the whole sky in orange. Ava walked out of the hospital and seeing the beautiful orange sky her mood instantly got lighter.

520 Haibin road.

Oliver just stepped inside the house and heard footsteps behind him, he turned and saw it was Ava. He immediately took her in his arm. Oliver didn't see her for the whole day, he really missed her.

"You're back." Oliver's chin was on Ava's head and a sweet smell was coming from her hair. He suddenly felt a sense of completeness, he didn't want to let go of the feeling he liked it very much.

"Yes." Ava leaned on Oliver's chest and allowed him to hold her tightly. His embrace suddenly gave her the sense of security she had been looking for, at least at that moment she found it in his embrace.

"Did you miss me?" Oliver looked at her affectionately.

"I...." Before Ava could finish her sentence his dominating lips were on her savoring her soft lips. She didn't even have the chance to say that she did miss him.

Mrs. Lee, came out of the kitchen wearing an apron and saw the scene, she got embarrassed and turned to leave.

Ava felt someone's presence, opened her eye, and saw Mrs. Lee just turned to go back to the kitchen. She hurriedly pushed Oliver away and said "What are you doing, Mrs. Lee, is here."

Oliver looked at her lazily and said with a smile: "This is my house and Mrs. Lee doesn't mind or see what I do here, ask her if you don't believe?"

Mrs. Lee nodded stupidly and said, "Yes, yes, Mr. Knight is right, I didn't see anything, I didn't see anything..." saying that she lowered her head and rushed into the kitchen.

Ava was mortified and her face became red like a tomato. She bit her lips and said, "Fine, this is your house but can we please not do this in the future? It's really embarrassing seen by Mrs. Lee."

"What is there to be embarrassed? Mrs. Lee is a grownup she can understand."

Ava thought it was pointless to argue with him so she decided to ignore it, for now, she had a more pressing issue to discuss with him any way she walked towards the living room and sat down on the couch uncomfortably. She had been putting it off for a while but she had to tell him today.

Oliver followed Ava to the living room and saw her face changed, she looked worried.

"What? You have something to tell me?" Oliver narrowed his eyes and sat opposite Ava with an indifferent face.

Ava nodded her head slightly and looked anywhere but him. She opened and closed her mouth a few times.

Oliver was very uncomfortable looking at the way she was behaving, he knew he wouldn't like whatever Ava was going to tell him.

"Say it!" Oliver said coldly. Why was she hesitating so much, what did she do now?

"I will tell you but you have to promise me that you won't get angry after hearing me," Ava said timidly.

Even though at times she found Oliver's behavior towards her very confusing but she was very sure the moment she will tell him that she has a date tomorrow with another man he will not only going to be angry but also there is a possibility that he might actually kill her and feed to the sharks just like he said the other day. In fact, Ava also thought of hiding it from him but she was afraid if he found out then that will bring an even bigger disaster for her.

"Tell me first." Oliver smiled slowly and leaned back in his chair. He wanted to hear what made the women so nervous in front of him. Normally she was very brave and would not bow down in front of him easily unless she did something wrong.

"No! You have to promise me first, or I won't tell you." Ava frowned slightly and said earnestly.

"Fine." Oliver was not a very patient person but in front of Ava, he was indeed very tolerant.

"As you know I went home last weekend.. and my mother said she found a guy and wanted me to go on a blind date with him... I didn't want to go ... but she wouldn't let go saying she has already promised to it ...so I was kind of forced by her..." Ava bit her lips and looked at Oliver innocently, his face was getting more and more dark so she didn't dare to continue.

"You didn't want to go, why not?" Oliver said smiling in a low voice but the anger could be heard in his voice.

At that moment Ava thought, she shouldn't have agreed to her mother and definitely shouldn't have told him about the date.

"I'll cancel it," Ava said nervously, thinking it's better to betray her mother than this man, he was terrible.

"Why? Maybe you can marry a rich man after I abandon you." Oliver's lips made a crooked arc, and the smile on the corners of his mouth becomes deeper.

The atmosphere in the living room became very depressed. Although Ava was getting used to his sharp tongue, still his words hurt her.

"Oliver, you don't have to mock me like that. I won't go." Ava said decisively.

"Oh, you won't? Then why did you decided to tell me about it? Were you afraid that if you went on a date secretly and I found out you will have a worse death? So you choose to be frank and inform me before you go on a date with another man?" Oliver's sinister eyes were glaring at her fiercely.

He had seen through Ava's careful thoughts. This woman thinks she is so smart but playing games with him she was not even a match to him in shrewdness.
