Ava returned to the hospital but she was still distracted and was thinking about Michael Jones. Mia came in with a case report and interrupted Ava's thoughts.
"What are you thinking, Ava? You look distracted" Mia asked worriedly.
"Oh, nothing, I am just worried about my papers." Ava lied. Although she felt guilty for lying to Mia every time when it was something related to Oliver but she couldn't tell her, she knew Mia liked Oliver, it might complicate things.
Mia had a simple mind so she naturally believed Ava and didn't think much. She put down the case report on the table and said innocently, "Ava, Let's go out tonight. A new Korean restaurant opened on Silver Street, I heard good reviews about it let's go and try it out."
Ava couldn't go out for dinner, Oliver would be waiting for her at home but she didn't want to hurt Mia's feelings either so she said lightly: "Mia, I am really sorry but not tonight. I am feeling very tired, I want to go home and take some rest. Maybe another day, OK?"
Mia was disappointed. Recently she felt that Ava was always very quiet and distracted. She asked her out a few times for dinner or to hang out but she always refused. Mia was worried that something was bothering Ava but she didn't want to push her so she didn't ask anything. She believed if Ava had any trouble and wanted to share it with her, she would do it on her own.
"Well, OK. Let me know when you are available."
"Once I finish my paper, I will have more free time and we could go for dinner and shopping together." Ava's agreement with Oliver was about to end so she was hoping after she moved back to her parents, her life will be normal like before and she will have more time for her family and friends.
After work, Ava was waiting for Oliver in front of the hospital. When she got into the car she saw Oliver's face was dark, she instantly understood that he was in a bad mood. She felt stressed because Oliver's bad mood meant she would have to suffer tonight again. They didn't talk to each other all way home.
520 Haibin road.
When they got home Ava saw Erika was already gone, she was distressed if Erika was here then Oliver probably would not get angry in front of her but now she will have to face the man's wrath alone, what's more, she also has to ask him about his uncle.
Ava took a deep breath and said lightly, "I have something to tell you."
"What?" Oliver sat comfortably on the sofa and looked at Ava indifferently.
"Your uncle asked me to be his private doctor so I will have to visit him once a week to check his condition from now on. I went to his house this afternoon." Ava paused to see Oliver's reaction but the man's face was unreadable so she continued.
"When I was there today he asked me a few questions and I am kind of having a feeling that he knows about us," She said quietly.
"Are you suggesting that I told him that we live together?" Oliver snorted. He already knew that his uncle kept an eye on him so it was not a surprise that he knew about them.
"I don't know, I'm asking you." Ava blinked innocently and said uncertainly. But now she was regretting bringing up Michael Jones in front of him especially when he was already in a bad mood.
"Well Ms. Green, It's not an honor to live with you, why would I let anyone know about it?" As always Oliver opened his sharp tongue to cut Ava's heart into pieces.
Hearing Oliver's words Ava felt hurt and angry, "Since you are so embarrassed to be with me, then why don't you end our agreement early and let me go now. I don't want to stain your life either."
"Huh, If you want to go, you will have to wait until I'm tired of playing with you. There is no point in counting days!" Oliver smiled coldly and his eyes were sinister.
Ava was furious, "Oliver you can't do this. We had an agreement that I will be with you only for a month. You cannot go back to your words like that"
"Agreement? Go ahead and sue me then" Oliver laughed coldly. "Ava Green I suggest you be obedient and entertain me properly, if I have the mood I may let you go. If you don't listen to me then you and your family both will suffer." Oliver was merciless. In fact, at that moment anyone could see how cruel he was and how he could crush someone's hope.
Ava looked at Oliver with wide eyes, she never thought he would not only break their agreement like that but also will threaten her with her family. Her face become red in anger, she started to yell at him, "Oliver, what can you do besides threaten me?"
With an evil smile on his face Oliver suddenly got up from the couch and drew Ava close to him, he gently stroked Ava's smooth face. But Ava instinctively resisted his touch, and there was disgust in her beautiful eyes which didn't go unnoticed by Oliver. He didn't get angry, instead, he smiled lightly and thought in this world probably Ava was the only woman who hated him so much.
