The hopelessness

"Ava, it seems that you still don't know me well." Oliver had an evil smile on his face.

"Why should I bother to know you?" Ava was angry so she didn't care about her attitude.

Oliver suddenly held her tightly in his arm giving Ava no chance to fight back than he said in her ear with a low seductive voice, "You are my woman and it is your responsibility to know me and understand me well. Since you didn't, I will help you with your lessons." Oliver's smile became deeper and deeper.

Oliver's mood was already worse when he found out about Samuel now this women's stubborn attitude was making him crazy. He wanted to control her by claiming her body right then and there. He didn't care about anything else he must have her. She can only be his in this life and very soon he will have control over her mind as well and then.....

Ava looked at Oliver alarmed because she knew where this was heading, but they were in the living room. Mrs. Lee could walk in at any time. Was he crazy?

"Oliver not here please, Mrs. Lee...." Before she could finish her lips were sealed by his. A passionate kiss, savoring and claiming her at the same time pouring out his complicated emotions.

Ava didn't know how long he tortured her in the living room couch, on the floor, and against the wall, but when he let her go, she couldn't move an inch of her body. Her bones felt like jelly and her body was aching as someone had just run a truck over it. She was so tired that even opening her eyes felt like a hard-working job at that moment.

"You know you need to do some exercise, you are so weak. I haven't even started with you and you are already half dead." Oliver joked lightly, then took her in arm horizontally and went to their bedroom.

"If you are so dissatisfied with me then why don't you let me go?" Ava tried once again in a low and tired voice. She had some kind of complex emotion in her eyes. Ava may not understand love but she could see clearly that Oliver didn't love her so why bother to entangle himself with her?

"Ava! Didn't I already make it clear that you have no say on when to end this relationship? Don't test my patience the more you will try to be stubborn the more I will want to tame you." Oliver said coldly.

Ava didn't say anything else. She was sad thinking if she didn't have to save her father, she would never agree to be with him, and now that she said yes she had no right to end it. He would play with her as long as he wanted and someday he will throw her like a chewed piece of bone. What kind of life was that? Why did she deserve this? She suddenly felt very hopeless about her life.

After staying on the bed for a while Ava suddenly said "Rika wanted to have dinner with me on Sunday."

Oliver was half seated on the bed flipping through a financial magazine. He didn't say anything like, he didn't hear what Ava said.

Ava couldn't understand whether he was ignoring her intentionally or he didn't care so she whispered again, "Can I go?"

Oliver smiled lightly but said indifferently, "Whatever."

Ava got up from the bed and put on her clothes she couldn't take his indifferent attitude anymore, he was making her feeling even lonelier than she really was. She thought of going back to the living room to watch some TV to divert her mind but suddenly her cell phone started to ring.

It was Sarah on the phone so Ava walked downstairs to talk to her.

Oliver looked in her direction and thought, why did she run out of the room to answer her phone?

"Hey Sarah, what's up?" Ava wanted to breathe some fresh air so she went to the backyard and noticed a beautiful Green House at the back of the yard. She slowly walked toward the house while talking.

"Hey Ava, how are you? Where are you now?" Sarah asked cautiously.

"I'm at a colleague's house. Why everything alright and how is your leg?" Ava walked inside the house slowly.

It was beautiful and full of different kinds of flowers, she was enjoying the flowers when she suddenly noticed a white tripod piano in the middle of the house.

"My leg is fine. My cell phone was out of battery last night, so I couldn't call you. I wanted to ask what happened between you and Aunt Lily." Sarah asked uncomfortably.

She recently felt that Ava's attitude has changed since the incident happened to the family. At first, she thought Ava was having a hard time coping with the breakup and the family incident but now she feels that Ava has become very secretive. She hardly shared anything anymore and she doesn't spend time with the family at all. Sarah had a feeling that Ava was hiding something and after yesterday's fight she was sure about it that's why she called to ask Ava.

Ava unconsciously walked toward the piano and sat down on the stool, she said softly, "Silly girl, it's nothing, some kind of misunderstanding, don't worry about it. I'll move back home soon and everything will be alright." Although she said that but she didn't know herself when that was going to happen, especially after the fight she just had with Oliver she was very uncertain about her future.

Sarah somehow felt things were not that simple so she asked unconvinced, "Really?"

"Really, don't overthink it ok! Help mom while you are there and keep her company." Ava said softly.

"OK Sis, don't worry about Aunt Lily. By the way, Ava did you recently talk to Mr. Evan?"

"Not really, we occasionally chat on WeChat. Why?"

"Last week at the school, an English teacher from our grade asked out Mr. Evan in the school corridor. She was so beautiful that many male teachers were chasing her every now and then but she always refused them because she was in love with Mr. Evan but do you know how Mr. Evan responded to her?" Sarah was full of gossips.

"I don't know if she is beautiful then he probably accepted her, right?"

"Lol sis, that's what everyone who heard thought as well but Mr. Evan actually said 'Thank you' to her. Then he said that he has someone else in his heart. The English teacher was so embarrassed that she cried miserably the whole day." Sarah said shaking her head.

Ava ignored Sarah's tone and said calmly, "Sarah, you should not focus on this kind of gossips. Concentrate on your study and get good grades, ok?"

"I know, Ava but I just wanted to remind you that Mr. Evan probably likes you," Sarah said solemnly.

"Don't talk nonsense."

"It's not nonsense. A few days ago I went to his office and I accidentally saw your picture on his screen saver."

"From where he got my picture?" Ava asked confused.

"I am not sure, probably your Weibo or friends circle," Sarah said with a smile. She was still very optimistic about Ava and Sam.

"Sarah don't waste your time thinking about these things. Go have dinner and go to bed early ok!" Ava was disturbed by the information Sarah gave her. If what Sarah said was true and Sam really liked her then she should keep her distance from him in the future.
