For Oliver the first round was indeed a good start, so he was very happy. Ethan couldn't see that smirk on Oliver's face he said coldly, "CEO Knight, don't be so cocky, it's still early to determine who will be the winner."
Oliver didn't say anything he just turned and head toward the roulette table. Today he will let Ethan know what it's called to lose everything.
At the roulette table, it was already very crowded, Oliver found a seat and sat down pulling Ava and making her seat on his lap. Ethan also found a seat and sat down with a cold face. They both bought the chips and the game began.
If Oliver won this round then the winner would be determined and they wouldn't have to play the slot machine. He looked at the roulette wheel with a calm face then asked Ava with a smile: "Honey, what's your lucky number?"
Ava was a bit flustered, why was he asking her? What if he placed the bet on the number she said and he lost it?
"Why mine?" Ava asked nervously.
"Don't be so nervous. It's alright we won't lose." Oliver said confidently, he believed that Ava was his lucky charm and would bring him good luck. So he was determined to put his bet on Ava's chosen number.
"Seventeen," Ava said casually, but her heart was beating drums in her chest. In her mind she was praying silently, 'Please God let Oliver win...let Oliver win.'
Oliver tightly held Ava's waist and smiled calmly.
"Twenty two," Ethan said with a dark face and cold eyes.
After the two of them chose their numbers, the Dealer spun the wheel and put the ball on the edge of the wheel. The ball kept spinning on the wheel, and everyone's eyes were glued to it. At the table some people looked nervous, some looked excited and some started to shout loudly in their cheering voice.
At last, the wheel started to spin slower, and after it stopped the ball circled a few more times before it finally stopped at the number 'Seventeen'.
Ava couldn't believe her eye, she stared at the ball on seventeen! They won? Was it that easy? Then she suddenly started to shout crazily saying, "Oliver we won!"
Oliver smiled quietly then pulled Ava closed to him and kissed her soft lips. He knew they would win.
Since Oliver won the second game as well, they didn't have to continue on the slot machine. He won the bet, won his women's heart, the land, and a Billion dollar. He was very happy tonight, everything was going as he planned it.
After losing on the roulette, Ethan was really in a bad mood. All the hope to get the land was gone and on top of that now he owed Oliver a Billion dollars, his father will kill him when he gets back. His face was full of anger and his eyes turned red.
"Oliver Knight, you deceived me?" Ethan could see it clearly now that Oliver was good at gambling, he didn't believe that it was mere luck that Oliver won with him twice and on two different games.
When Ethan was studying in the states he often came to play with his friends here and he was so good at gambling that he never lost. That was the reason he was so confident to challenge Oliver, he was sure he would win against him. But it turns out the Knight's couldn't gamble was actually the biggest lie. He should have realized it when Oliver accepted the bet so easily.
"Ethan Smith, have you lost your mind? When did I deceive you? It was you who challenged me, and it was also you who decided what game we will play. We played a fair game then how did I deceive you. Do you know I can sue you for saying that?" Oliver had a proud smile on his calm face. He didn't show off at all tonight, he was actually very lucky to win without any tricks.
"Don't play dumb with me Mr. Knight. You know very well what I was talking about." Ethan shouted angrily.
"I have no idea what are you talking about. Anyways a deal is a deal, you lost the bet so the land is mine now and I'll give you three days to transfer a billion dollars into my account." Oliver said indifferently.
Ethan stood up excitedly as if he was going to hit him, however, Oliver's bodyguards and Uncle Joe immediately surrounded him. Uncle Joe stood in front of Ethan with an expressionless face and said fiercely, "Mr. Smith, behave yourself. If you do something irrational then the consequence will not be good."
"Oliver Knight, this is not the end. I will see you in Beijing." Ethan said coldly.
"Mr. Smith, shouldn't you wish not to see me again in your life?" Oliver said with a smirk mocking him.
Indeed meeting Oliver brought Ethan a misfortune. All his life he lived in luxury but now his father spent all the money on the land and the rest Ethan lost on the bet. Looks like from now on, he will have to live a difficult life. All because of Oliver Knight.
"Ava, do you want to play more?" Oliver held Ava's waist and walked through the bustling crowd in the casino.
Ava shook her head. "No more games, I don't like gambling."
"Why, are you afraid of losing?" Oliver asked puzzled. They just won and normally when people are winning they like to play more.
"No, it's not because I'm afraid. I just don't like the feeling of being too excited. My heart can't take it, maybe it's just not for me." Ava said leisurely.
She had enough excitement for the night, she just wanted to fly back, go home and have a good sleep in Oliver's arm.
"Then what you want to do?" Oliver asked with a dotting smile.
"I want to go back home." Ava raised her eyes and said with a beautiful smile showing her cute dimples.
Oliver was mesmerized by that smile. "OK, let's go home then."
They stayed the night at the hotel and the next day flew back to Beijing. The journey was too long and too tiring so Ava and Oliver directly went to their bedroom when they returned home and fell asleep in each other's arms. After sleeping for 10 hours they both finally returned to their biological clock.
