Lost her soul

Sam fell silent hearing Ava, his heart suddenly felt very heavy and his eyes dimmed. She thinks it was all her fault.

"Ava, I want to marry you. I have always wanted that. I love you very much, can you please give me a chance? Break up with Oliver. I know I am not as rich as him but I promise I will love you with all my heart that you will never need anything else." Sam looked Ava in the eye and said every word sincerely. However, it was still a request and he hoped Ava will agree. He didn't want to force her.

Ava stared at him speechless. Marry him? Leave Oliver? Realization hit Ava, yes she will have to leave Oliver, after what she did to him, she could not be with him anymore. Ava suddenly felt she had just lost her soul, she should feel pain but she didn't, her heart was too numb to feel anything.

Ava forced a smile and said gently, "Sam, I know you are a good man but I am really sorry I cannot do that."

"Why not, we already slept with each other then why can't you agree to marry me?"

"Sam please stop... I don't love you and I don't want to marry you so stop forcing me please." The words came out very harshly from Ava's mouth. She was already in a mess and she didn't need a reminder of what happened between them.

Samuel smiled bitterly. Was his love so worthless in her eyes? He should die hearing what she had just said but he has gone too far to have Ava he couldn't give up now. Sam calmed himself and thought, as long as Ava broke up with Oliver, he will always have a chance to change her mind, and knowing Ava she will definitely break up with Oliver.

Sam was a wise person before he tricked her, he had considered all this situation. So this was all expected and was going as per his plan. With Ava, he has to be patient and slowly make his move toward her heart. Only that way he will be able to win her. Now all he had to do was wait for her to break up with Oliver Knight.

In order to avoid being seen together getting out of the hotel, Ava and Samuel left separately and one after another. Ava got out of the hotel and hailed a taxi and went straight to Green's villa. She had no courage to go back to Oliver's Villa.

Samuel insisted on dropping Ava home but she refused stubbornly. She promised Sam she won't do anything stupid. But Sam was worried and after Ava left he called Sarah and asked her to inform him when Ava gets home.

Green Villa.

Sarah got Sam's call she was a bit puzzled, how did Mr. Evan know Ava will come back here? Yesterday Ava went back to Oliver's villa, so shouldn't she be at work right now? Sarah felt uncomfortable in her heart thinking something must have happened to Ava.

Ava entered her home and saw Sarah and Lily were sitting in the living room. She immediately lowered her head and walked toward her bedroom, she didn't want to talk to anyone at this moment.

However Lily saw Ava's messy appearance and she got really worried. She came to Ava who was about to enter her bedroom and turned her to look at her. Lily's eyes instantly fell on Ava's neck and she froze.

"Ava, what happened? Who did this?" Lily asked softly, her eyes were full of concern.

"Mom, please don't ask me anything. I need to take a shower." Ava forced the words out in her choked voice.

Lily was worried that something bad happened to Ava but looking at her daughter she knew Ava wouldn't say anything until she wanted to. There was no point to force her. Lily let go of Ava's hand and saw her entered her bedroom.

Sarah was standing right next to Lily she was very scared seeing Ava like that. She had never seen her sister lose her emotion in front of them like that. She didn't lose it when she had that accident and she didn't lose it when Jacob betrayed her. She has always been so strong so Sarah was sure something terrible had happened to Ava.

"Auntie, don't worry. Mr. Evan just called me I think he might know what happened to Ava. I'll call him right away."

Sarah and Lily came back to the living room and Sarah immediately took out her phone and called Sam.

Samuel almost instantly picked up the call and asked anxiously, "Hello, Sarah, is Ava home?"

"Yes, Mr. Evan she is home. But she doesn't look good, do you know what happened to Ava?" Sarah asked hesitantly.

"Don't worry Sarah, nothing happened to her." Sam didn't know what to tell Sarah.

"But Mr. Evan Ava's neck...." Sarah trailed off not knowing how to say that.

"Sarah, it's not what you think. I promise, nothing happened to your sister. Don't force her to tell you anything, she will tell you when she is ready, ok!" Sam said clenching his fist.

Sarah agreed with that and said obediently, "OK, Mr. Evan, I believe you."

After hanging up the phone, Sarah said to Lily "Auntie, don't worry. Mr. Evan said that Ava is fine. It's not what we think."

Sarah understood Lily's worries after all Ava was her daughter, it's normal to worry when her daughter comes back home looking like a crazy woman.

Ava went straight to the bathroom and stood under the hot water spray until she couldn't take the heat anymore. Her whole skin has turned red because of the hot water but she didn't care. She felt so dirty that she wanted to peel off her skin.

After taking the shower Ava stood in front of the mirror but she couldn't look at her own reflection and she threw whatever she got out of her reach toward the mirror and it shattered into pieces like Ava's mind.
