Kiara and her games

When Oliver reached the company it was 4.30 in the morning. He entered his office and worked all day like a crazy man until the evening.

His secretaries were all going crazy, they could tell their boss was in a bad mood so they were very cautious around him afraid of making any mistake. All the staff has been working till evening since the boss was still in the office, how could they leave so even though they were tired, they kept working without any complaint.

Kiara heard Oliver has been very busy all day so she decided to come and see him in the evening. She already got the news of Ava breaking up with Oliver, so she was very happy, besides she hasn't seen him for a while and she missed him very much. Kiara softly knocked on the door of Oliver's office.

"Come in." Oliver's cold voice came from inside.

Kiara was a bit stunned hearing his cold tone. She was holding a lunch box in her hand for Oliver. She made some of his favorite food in order to make him happy, although she didn't even know if he had eaten or not. She decided to take full advantage of his breakup to get close to him just like she did when Oliver and Ava had a fight over the birth control pills.

"Oliver, I heard you have been working hard all day. You must be very tired, why don't you take some rest?" Kiara walked silently into the office afraid of disturbing him.

"There are some important things I need to deal with." Oliver didn't even lift his head, his eyes were fixed on the documents in front of him.

"Have you had dinner?" Kiara asked cautiously.

"Yes," Oliver said indifferently.

Kiara looked at Oliver, his attitude was just like the first time he broke up with his girlfriend 5 years ago. Cold, indifferent, ignorant, as if he didn't care about the rest of the world and their feelings. Back then he used to be the same, didn't talk much, only answered when asked any question, and always busy at work. She sighed.

"That's good. Oliver I heard..." Kiara paused, intentionally and observed Oliver, to see if he gets angry.

"You heard what?" Oliver asked coldly, eyes still on the documents in his hands.

"I heard that you broke up with Ava," Kiara said quietly, she was getting a bit nervous over Oliver's indifferent attitude toward her. She put on a sad face in front of him to show him so sympathy. Kiara was good at pretending so she would always act and show what others liked to see.

It was deathly silent in the office after Kiara said that. The silence made Kiara even more nervous now, her heart was pounding in her chest. She was really afraid anytime Oliver will get angry and throw her out of his office.

However, after a while, Oliver simply said expressionlessly, "Yes."

Oliver told Kiara what she wanted to hear. He didn't agree with this break up so no matter what Ava said he wouldn't let her go. Last night when he stood in front of Ava's parent's house, he had a feeling that Ava was also watching him from upstairs the whole night. He would not give up like this, he will have to find the reason why Ava broke up with him.

"Oliver In fact, I always wanted to tell you that she was not right for you. Do you know when Ava got heatstroke and fell on the school ground she actually went there to meet Jacob? I wanted to tell you this before but I was afraid that you will think I was trying to cause trouble between you two so I didn't say anything." Kiara said putting on a pitiful expression on her face. She was observing Oliver's face and notice it got dark the moment she mentioned Jacob

Finally, Oliver raised his head and for a while, he looked like he was in a trance. He recalled Ava's heatstroke the first time. She did say she went to the school but she didn't say she was there to see Jacob. So she not only hide Jacob's release from him she also hid the fact that she went to see him and got a heatstroke because of that. Although he was very angry but for the first time, he actually understood why she did that. She knew if she told him he would never let her see Jacob that's why probably she hid it from him. He sighed in his heart.

Seeing Oliver's dark face Kiara was very happy in her heart thinking she had done an excellent job by exposing Ava's deception to him. Oliver must be furious inside, this will create more distance between them and that's exactly what she wanted.

"How did you know that?" Oliver asked lightly.

"That day, I happened to be in the hospital and saw her when she was sent there, in fact, I think it was her friend Samuel Evan who brought her there that day after she fainted. Later when I asked around I found out she went to the school. I was curious why she was there so I asked one of my friends at the school to check the surveillance." Kiara said in a sad tone.

Samuel took Ava to the hospital? This Samuel is everywhere, Oliver felt frustrated. She even complained to his mom, because of that man. Why he was so important to her he will never understand that.

Kiara stared at Oliver and thought, she waited a long time for Oliver to take initiative to ask her out but he never did. So this time she wouldn't wait anymore, she will take every chance to get close to him and make him fall in love with her. Since he has just broken up, this is the best time to get close to him and lend him a shoulder to cry on. Kiara wanted to be there whenever Oliver needed someone.

"Well, if there's nothing else, you can leave. I have work to do." Oliver said in a calm and cold voice.

When it comes to Ava, Oliver has a tendency to become a bit impulsive so when Kiara mentioned Jacob and Samuel he instantly got angry, but now that he has calm down he could see reasons and he already knew why Kiara was here. However, Kiara did help him with this piece of information now he has a reason to see Ava again.

Hearing Oliver Kiara's face fell. She didn't expect Oliver to ask her to leave like that, she felt very hurt but she has already made him angry by mentioning those things to him and she didn't want his anger to direct at her, so she had no choice but to leave.

Kiara put on a beautiful smile on her face then said softly. "OK Oliver, I'll see you later."

Oliver didn't smile, he lowered his head and concentrated on the documents in front of him. To him, Kiara was an unimportant person and he had no time to waste on her. It was always Ava who has been occupying his mind. He wondered when the situation changed like that.

Oliver always knew he wasn't devoted to her fully. Unlike the last relationship where they were all open and could talk about anything. He had actually concealed many things from Ava from the beginning, but he expected her to be sincere to him. This kind of relationship was indeed very unfair. This was probably why things were too bad between them now. But He also realized Ava's place in his heart now. Until the breakup, he always took their relationship for granted but now he had no doubt in his heart that he has fallen for her hard.
