"My lovely wife, here I thought you called me because you missed me but it looks like you need my help with something." Oliver's tone was very playful as if he was enjoying the conversation with his dear wife very much.
"What wife? I have already submitted the divorce paper to the court. Soon you will get the notice." Ava said with venom laced in her tongue. She was tired of his stupid games and now she was even more sure that Oliver had something to do with Nina's disappearance. She was so angry that really wanted to beat the man to a pulp. Why can't he just leave her alone?
"Divorce? In your dreams baby. And don't take my words lightly, when I say you will regret it if you continue with this divorce crap." Although Oliver said it very lightly, but the warning in his words was apparent.
Ava's heart missed a beat by his threat but she was Ava, she was a stubborn ass, how could she accept defeat, especially in front of Oliver Knight so she said again in an angry but bitter tone, "You are wrong Oliver. Marrying you was the biggest mistake I have ever made and if I don't divorce you, then I will regret it for the rest of my life." The moment those words left her mouth she instantly regretted it. Oliver might have hurt her more than Jacob or anyone ever did but after they became official he never treated her badly although it was all based on a lie, but those few months were the blissful time of her life. However, his lies and deception just overpowered all the good in their relationship, so she had to end it. She thought he would have moved on by now but he was still playing games with her just like when they first met. If she wanted peace she will have to stay away from him and the only way she knows to do is to hurt him badly so he would hate her and give up on her.
Ava's words stung Oliver's heart, he understood her anger but he still felt suffocated when she said marrying him was the biggest mistake for her. Did he really mess up that bad? Was there no chance for redemption? Oliver closed his eyes and let the pain settle in his chest. Yes he deserved it, he had hurt her again and again but she always took him back even without any apologies, she took him back again and again. But this time he not only hurt her, he actually broke her into pieces. This was the precise reason he hid his past from her after he fell in love with her. However, he never thought that his enemies would go to any extent to ruin his happiness. They exactly did that and he couldn't even blame them.
He needed to fix this, he can't live without her. He knew he could only survive this far with the hope that one day she will be back and he will make things right with her. How many times he got hospitalized in these three years, and once he almost died but the thought of her coming back and Orion only kept him alive. And now that she was back Oliver felt alive, he felt the hope and desire to live again. Live a full and happy life with her, make a lot of babies, and grow old with her. No matter what, he will make it happen at any cost.
Between Ava and Oliver, the problem was both were stubborn and wouldn't give up on their pride. If only both could let go of their pride then they would know that they were each other's salvation. It was probably God's will that they met each other to get over their past and have a happy life. However, they both were too persistent in their own wishfulness and would always end up using the mean method to get to each other rather than give each other any fair chance.
Ava saw Oliver was quiet she took the chance to ask about her daughter. "Oliver, where is Nina?"
"Who is Nina? And why are you asking me that?" Oliver said in a cold tone.
Ava clenched her teeth in anger. This cunning bastard dared to pretend. If she didn't know him well she would have believed him but she knew him. "Stop pretending, OK! I know you have my daughter, if anything happens to her, Oliver I swear I will kill you." Ava said angrily.
"Oh, is that so? I have never seen before that an egg can break a stone." Oliver's mood suddenly got lighter and he said in an amusing tone.
"That's because you are shortsighted."
"I'm short-sighted? Well, it doesn't matter as long as it's the right depth for you." Oliver's playful tone became a little seductive.
Ava's whole face turned red as she caught the meaning of his words. This shameless man! "Oliver Knight!" Ava shouted out to hide her embarrassment.
"I am here wify, no need to shout. Although I would love to hear you shout my name….."
Before Oliver could finish his sentence Ava quickly spoke out, "Stop! Stop please." Ava took a deep breath and said calmly, "Oliver if you don't have my daughter then there is no point for me to see you. So I am going to ask you again. Do. You. Have. My. Daughter?
"You know where to find me, Ava. I am waiting for you." Oliver said with a smile and hung up the phone.
Ava was deeply frustrated, he didn't say whether Nina was with him or not, and for a moment Ava was conflicted about whether confronting Oliver was a good idea. Whenever he was in front of her, her traitorous heart would jump out of her chest as if she was in front of her first crush. "ugh" Ava took two deep breaths and calm herself down then headed toward Hotel Peninsula.
