The Village
It took me 4 hours to travel the 10.000 km that is extremely fast that is more than 3600 m/sec and this is round about 12 times the speed of sound. But I was not so fast from the beginning.
4 hours and 30 minutes before.
There must be a faster way to travel it is kinda annoying to jump from mountain to mountain... ah dammit I forgot that I am able to fly when I am in the Dragon/Elf mode. The dream of Humanity is to fly without machines and I forgot that I am able to do it. But how am I able to sprout my wings?
In most of my story's the MC was able to do it with a skill, intuitive or with mana that they gather at the point where they want to change.
I have no skill and intuitive is it not. Then it has to be with mana, but I can't feel my mana.
What now? The MC's are already feeling their mana or are just able to do it after a ritual, there is also the case of meditation. Hope that it is the last one.... the second can't be it because I am able to use it.
But I hate to sit still, well do or don't it can not harm... can it?^^
I sat down in a cross-legged position and closed my eyes. I feel my heart, my pulsing blood and... what's that?

Now that that is done let's see how fast I can change my hand. I looked down to my hand and wanted to change it, but it was already changed. I blinked a few times and thought to change it back and it happened nearly instantaneous.
"What? That is fast."
Onto my wings... I try to move them with a thought but nothing happened. Maybe I have to move some of my body parts. I moved my shoulder and my wing did a slight movement, ok something further down lets try my shoulder blade.
I moved my left shoulder blade and did not have the time to think to do it slowly, so my left wing made a giant flap and I crashed through a tree into a boulder.

10 more points spent and I flew the rest of the way to the village and stopped near it over a forest.
Back in the present time.
I landed SAFELY in a forest near the village and changed back into the form of a girl.
You surely think why I am still a girl, it is because I want to experience the growing of a woman. So I stayed in this form.
After my change, I walked to the village. It is a small village with just 20 houses. Some were larger than the other. One has a chimney with a smoke pillar, that has to be the smithy. One has a shield with two swords on top of it, that can be an adventure outpost or the barracks for the village guards.
And one has a book over the door, could be the library or something else with knowledge in it.
The rest of the bigger houses haven't had anything over the door, they must be houses of richer villagers.
I was near the entrance when I heard something.
"Hey Mädchen was machst du hier und wer bist du ?" ???

I quickly maxed the skills and looked, with tears in the eyes, to the origin of the voice.
There stood a man who might be round about 30 years old with brown hair and a European body frame.
He doesn't look good but was also not ugly, pretty normal if would say.
He made a sad face and said, " You poor little one, I'm Kyle, come I'll bring you to the village chief." Kyle
Damn these skills are effective I was not able to cry in my old world, not even as I imagined the death of my parents or heard of my soon to be dead grandma. I know that this is hard to believe but I never cried. I think that could be because I don't know the feeling of love, that has to come from me. Don't misunderstand me, I was loved by my parents and a few friends and I think even my ex, but I never felt something except for acceptance for them.
I have feelings but nothing that I would describe as love.
While I thought that we reached the building with the book and went in.
Inside was a small room with a door on the opposite of the entrance and many small shoes on the wall.
Kyle took one of his shoes off and told me to do the same, but I answered fearfully.
"Ahm mister Kyle I don't have shoes is that a problem?" Clair
Kyle looked to my feet and saw that I walked barefoot.
He said with a face full of pity."No that is not a problem little one, just follow me."
I did as he said and we went further into the building. The next room was bigger and there where benches with children of different age sitting on them and in front of them was a man who showed some really easy math questions on a blackboard, things like 2+5 or 7-2.
He looked like he was 50 and had black hair with a few gray roves. He has a beard and wore a grey robe.
He looked in front and saw us both and asked.
"Kyle, don't you have guard duty today? And who is that girl next to you?" ???
"Yeah I have and this girl is Clair she came out of the woods and said she is lost, so I thought I'd bring her here.
Clair, this man is the village chief and his name is George." Kyle
George looked at the other kids and said."Ok, the lesson for today is finished and we will see each other next week. Kyle, you can go back and Clair please come to the front"
The children whispered among themselves things like " Who is she?", "She looks cute", "What is with her ears?" or "Yay free time" and went with Kyle out.
I walked to George and sat on a bench across of him.
"So now tell me your story little Clair" George
I began to tell my story with teary eyes and some hick ups.
"I..I.. was with mommy and daddy on a journey and suddenly a man shouted that we have to become slaves. My mommy said I have to run into the forest and they will follow. I did, but mommy and daddy didn't come the man came and I hid in a dead tree. They came near but then there was a growl and then screams and after the screams, I could hear something breaking and some wet noises. I was frightened and stayed a day in the tree and then after I looked out there was no man instead there were some red puddles and other red things. I think a monster ate them. I wanted to walk back to mommy but didn't know where I was and so I walked in one direction.
I found some apples" I grabbed in a pocket of my robe and took an apple out of my inventory and showed it to him.
"I walked a day and was dirty and wanted to clean myself on a creek, but while I did I heard the growl and run away. After a day, I found a small hut and in there was this robe, I cut it into my size and continued the next day. I don't know how many days passed but I found this village. Uncle do I have to leave?"
I looked up with tears in my face and saw that George himself has tears in his face.
"No Clair you don't have to go I... no, the village will find a way, maybe someone wants to adopt you."George
"I have found one coin in the hut I don't know if it is much but can you take it and let me stay ?"Clair
As I said that I put my other hand in a pocket and took out one Gold coin.
George's face went wide. Is it so much?
"You don't have to give me that, a gold coin is enough for a family to live a whole year. I would say you keep it in your pocket and I will gather the other villagers and if there are some who want to adopt you, you can give it to them after a week, when you know that they are friendly.
Now come we will gather the other villagers and before that we have to find something for you from your story I can see that you are naked under your robe." George.
