Pets and Books
It´s weekend and there is much to do, I have to buy at least three animals, for research purpose.
I don´t want to kill Ilza, when I´m going to enhance her.
René also came in the morning and started to do her duties.
I said I´ll be out and asked some passers for the locations of a pet shop.
They advised me to search the one in the inner part of the first wall. It looks like a plain house with a sign over the door. It says, " Get your pet today, by Lisas Pets!".
I went inside and was greeted by the smell of animals, not the bad kind, it just smelled like animals.
There are many cages with different kinds of animals in it.
Something that looks like a cat with bunny ears, a mice with three eyes and a dog that has a donkey like, snout.
I walked to the counter and greeted a woman in her forties.
"Hello, I´d like to purchase some animals." Me
"Hello miss, what do you want? The Giriks are good for children." Woman
"I need one animal that is really fluffy and three from these." I said and pointed at the cat with bunny ears.
"These are Hurus, they are excellent house pets, the fur is fluffy and they´re very friendly." The woman explained.
"What is the fluffiest animal you have?" I asked.
"I think the Hurus are the fluffiest, I currently have." Woman
"Could I pet them?" I asked.
"Sure," She said and opened a cage for me.
I stretched my hand out and let them smell.
One Huru came nearer, wary, and smelled. I let it and slowly patted the head.
Jup fluffy, Pia´s tail is better, but it is enough.
The Huru closed his eyes and began to purr.
"Hi, do you want to come with me?" I asked and the Huru looked at me, his ears were up and it meowed.

The Huru meowed to his friends and all of them came to me, I was surrounded by cats with fluffy bunny ears.
"My, they like you." Woman

"Do you want a cage?" Woman
"Not necessary, you, you and you. Do you want to come with me? If so, then come out of the cage." I said and pointed at three Hurus.
They all meowed and jumped out and sat behind me.
"You´re really being loved, what did you do?" Woman
"I have a petting skill, they seemed to like it. How much do they cost?" Me
"How convenient, that´ll be 30 silver for all of them."Woman
I gave her the silver and said.
"Come, we´re going home." And the three Hurus followed me.
Many people stared at me, as I walked home, with three Hurus behind me.
I went to the cellar, as I reached my home, I had to build another floor.
I made a second floor under the cellar, which will be used as our training room.
Looking down at the Hurus, I said:
"So I´m going to test a few things with you, one of you will get enhanced with mana manipulation, one with runes and the third one will get both."
They looked at me and tilted their heads.
They know what I mean with follow, but don´t understand me now?

I squatted down and began to pour my mana into Huru One, I also sensed with my mana sensing what happens.
The Huru started to meow loudly and looked frightened, but it doesn't seem like it hurt, so I continued.
I coated all cells with my mana and tried to infuse them. It worked well, so I put more and more mana into the Huru. until its meows began to sound painful.
I stopped and started to pet it behind the left ear, Huru One purred and laid down.

I looked over the status, and it was really impressive how much you can boost things with LV 10 runes. And this is only one layer.

This Huru was carefully raised until now and found its owner Clair just recently, it likes to eat carrots. Huru Two has high ranked runes on its skin and is much stronger than a normal Huru could get.
Now I have to train all Hurus and see how fast they grow. I think Huru Two and Huru Three will be equally fast and Huru One will be a little faster than both. Tomorrow I´ll try to enhance Huru One once more.
I was really careful and noticed, that it´s not possible to do this when you´re under LV 7 in mana manipulation and enhancing. You also need a huge amount of mana, one session costs 500.000 mana.
I hope I did it right and they won´t die.
I stopped the mana supply for the runes of Huru Two, she is strong enough to kill most of the people here. No one wants a rampaging super Huru.
I made them a place to sleep and something like a litter.
The training for the litter took 2 hours, but they now understand what they have to do with it.
I looked for Ilza and found her with Lilia in the library.
She was sitting on the floor and Lilia sorted some books.
"Hi, I brought three Hurus, they are in a new floor under the cellar, that will be our training room.
What are you doing?" Me
"We tested Ilza´s affinities, she has an affinity in wind, earth and water." Lilia
"And now I have to meditate, Lilia said I have to find my mana." Ilza
"Lilia do you know a place to buy books?" Me
"Yeah, there are a few good bookstores, why?" Lilia
"I said that I´ll give you a large library, so I´m going to full-fill my promise. I just have to look through all these books and memorize the names, so that we don´t buy them twice." Me
"That could take some time, I have over one thousand books." Lilia
Even one thousand books would look like nothing in this library.
"Nope, I just have to see them once." Me
"Ah yeah, your cheat like ability's." Lilia
"Yup, so do you want to come with me?" Me
"Sure," Lilia said and stood up, "I´ll change my clothes."
"I want to come too." Ilza
"Nope, you have to train." Lilia said and left.
Ilza pouted, but continued with her meditation, while I memorized the books.
Lilia came a few minutes later and we went to the first bookstore.
"So how many bookstores are in this city?" I asked, while walking next to Lilia.
"One for rare books, 3 good ones and 4 with a wide range of assortment." Lilia
"Ok, show me the rare one and then the three good ones, I look forward to see their faces." Me
"Why?" Lilia
"I´m going to buy, almost all of their books." Me
"That will be expensive, there are books for over 10 gold." Lilia
"Are they rare or are books so expensive?" Me
"Both, each book is handwritten and you will seldomly find the same book twice." Lilia explained.
"No problem I have around 700.000 gold coins." Me
"You do realise that you defy any common sense?" Lilia
"Yup, why else would I attend school?" Me
"True, but you have to be more careful, there are many people who would kill you for so much money." Lilia
"You´ve seen Dex?" Me
"Dex?" Lilia
"My male body." Me
"Ah yes, he looks handsome." Lilia
"Thanks, I created him myself. Anyway, Dex is for the public display of wealth and power. So I have to change." I said and walked quickly inside an alley and came back as Dex, wearing an expensive looking suit.
"That was quick." Lilia
"Two skills, it takes me 5 minutes to change on LV 1 but only a second with LV 10." Me
"A skill for changing clothes?" Lilia asked and I grinned.
"I said I get a skill for everything, now come we have to stun a few booksellers." I grabbed her hand and we were walking like a couple to the second wall, Lilia was a little red, but did not protest.
Shortly after, we reached the store and went inside. It had a counter with a glass cabinet and inside were five books.
The walls were paved with bookshelves and the store has one extra floor, also with books.
The shop clerk, an elderly man, noticed us and said.
"Oh, Lilia, nice to see you. You´ve finally got a boyfriend? It´s about time, you don´t get younger." Clerk
"I met my sweety during the entrance exam." I said and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"It´s...it´s not like that...not yet." She said with a red face, the last part barely audible.
"Hahaha, youth.... What can I do for you?" Clerk
"I noticed Lilia´s love to books and wanted to buy some for her." Me
"And what book do you want Lilia? " Clerk
"Äh..." Lilia
"I´d like to buy all books she does not possess already." Me
"Mister?" Clerk
"Dex." Me
"Mister Dex, Lilia owns a lot of books." Clerk
"I know, she has 1038 different books, so how much for every book in your store?" Me
"Your boyfriend is a jester hahaha," He said to Lilia but she had a wry smile.
"So how much? A thousand gold?" Me
"Please stop mister Dex." He said, but I gave him a sack of gold coins.
"Here are two thousand gold coins, is that enough?" Me
He opened the sack and his eyes went wide.
"Äh...ehm... are you sure?" Clerk
"I spare no expense or effort for my love." I said and Lilia played with her fingers.
"O...okay, but how do you intent to transport all these books?" Clerk
"With a dimensional pocket." I said and began to put the books inside my inventory.
I finished twenty minutes later and we said goodbye.
"That was fun." I said and Lilia elbowed me.
"Why did you do that?" Lilia
"Because it´s fun and you did not disagree." Me
"I did!" Lilia
"Not loud enough, and I also have a skill for a better hearing, I heard you." I said smiling and Lilia got beet red.
"Jerk." Lilia
"Be happy, you now own 2384 more books, some of them are really rare." Me
"Thank you, but what now?" Lilia
"Did you forget honey? There are seven more stores." I teased.

"I can change to Clair and play your daughter if you´re so against me as your boyfriend." Me
"You don´t look like me." Lilia
"Illusions." I grinned.
"Noooo, I´m not your mother." Lilia
"Then let me be your boyfriend." Me
"...okay...." Lilia said and we continued our little shopping tour, we finished with around 7000 new books.
We walked back and I gave Lilia all the books while I went to Hira, I had to teach her sewing.
I also promised the orphans to cook, which I did, I made chicken with potatoes and a brown sauce and chocolate cake for the dessert.
Ilza and Lilia also came and we had a small feast.
Ilza crawled in my bed at the end of the day.
I woke up with the first sun rays.
Ilza hugged my left side and I wiggled myself out of her embrace, without waking her.
I got dressed and went to the library, where I found Lilia.
She was sleeping in an armchair, with a book on her lap.
Seems like she read the whole night.
I went down to the kitchen where I found René.
"Morning René." Me
"Morning mistress, did you sleep well?" René
"Yes, and you?" Me
"Good, good. Mistress?" René
"Yes?" Me
"I´ve talked with my friends and there are four trustworthy, who wish to work for you." René
"Good, can you invite them?" Me
"When?" René
"As fast as possible, how about now?" Me
"Now? But what is about my work?" René
"It´s faster if you would be four than one, so you can fetch them and I´ll make tea." Me
"O...okay mistress, I´ll go then. " René said and run out.
I made breakfast and tea for the coming guests, and for myself a cold cacao.
I woke Ilza and Lilia up and we were eating, as René came back with four other woman.
"Mistress these are Paulina, Anali, Kim and Fera." René introduced them.
""Good morning, mistress Clair."" all of them.
"Good morning, these are miss Bose and miss Malinda. Please take a seat, I made breakfast." Me
"Can we really?" Paulina
"Why not?" Me
"Because you´re the mistress." Paulina
"Well I´m not exactly a normal person, so you´ll find some abnormal things in my behaviour, now take your seat and eat, I´ve also made tea." I said and they sat down, albeit reluctantly.
"You too René." I said to the still standing René
"But I have to work." René
"Later, now eat or at least drink some tea. By the way that´s also one of the things you have to do while working, drink. " Me
"Drink?" All
"Yes, you can get sluggish, sleepy and also a headache if you don´t drink enough.
But let´s eat and speak afterwards." I said and we began to eat, the five women ate slowly but had a blissful face.
"Who´ve made this, mistress Clair?" Fera
"I made it." Me
"It´s superb, I once helped a cook in a restaurant, but his food was really bad in comparison to yours." Fera
"Thank you, I like to cook." I said and we continued to eat.
Ilza and Lilia finished and went upstairs, they have to sort the books.

"She said that a young mistress is in search for a few maids, who´ll clean her mansion." Anali
"Anything about the payment?" Me
"No." Kim said and I raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, how much do you want to get in a month?" Me

"No, I just thought that it´s unfair if I don´t give you the same as René." Me
"How much do you get René?" Paulina
René puffed her chest out and said. " I get 50 silver."
"A month?! " Kim asked and René nodded.
"Yes, she get´s fifty silver a month and works 8 hours a day, with two days off in a week and 30 days in the year for holiday. " I said and their jaws dropped.
"How did you get such a good contract René" Kim asked while shaking René.
"I don´t got it." René
"I just arranged it, I expect hard work and honesty in return. So what do you say? You would have to clean the house, wash the clothes and maybe help Ilza with buying things. And you´re also not allowed to speak about the things you´ll find here. I´ll research some new things and I don´t want people to find out." Me
"We´d love to." Kim
"Good, Kim you´ll have the days off on Monday and Wednesday, René on Tuesday and Thursday, Anali on Friday and Sunday, Fera on Saturday and Monday and Paulina on Wednesday and Saturday.
You´re allowed to switch the days. And as I already said, you have to drink enough, I´ve made a water pump in the kitchen, so you can take a glass and drink, whenever you want." Me

"Mistress I have a question." René
"Yes?" Me
"Where are the toilets for the stuff?" René
"Oh I forgot to build them, you can use the normal bath." Me
"We can´t, that is improper, it´s bad enough that we ate with the mistress." René said and the other four nodded.
I sighed and said.
"Okay, can I make one outside, the house is already full."
"Of course." René
"Good, then follow me." I said and went outside, where I build a small house for the purpose of washing clothes. It also has a separated bath.
"Mistress, how do you use this?" Kim asked and pointed at the toilet.
"You sit on the toilet bowl, do your thing and then pull on this leash." I said and pulled on the leash which then flushed the toilet.
"The water will be flushed in a hole deep underground, but you have to replace the water of this water tank. " I said and showed how you do it.
"So that´s the purpose of this funny thing" René
"What do you mean?" Kim
"Mistress Clair build our house and there´s also this thing in our new house." René
"It´s called a toilet, are there any other questions?" Me
"No, we´ll ask René if there´s anything else." Anali
"Good, and in case René forgot to explain it, you have to be careful, the stone guards can scan any visitor and know if you have something from this mansion with you, when you leave. They´ll stop you then." Me
"What does scan mean?" Furi
"It means that it knows what you carry, wear or ate. Food is on the okay list but anything else, has to be approved by me, miss Malinda or miss Bose. It´s against thief's. " Me
"What happens with people who trespass without your approval?" Kim
"The guards will stop them and if they are aggressive, they´ll apprehend them with force. I wouldn´t recommend to fight them, their stats are high." Me
Yeah at least 50.000 in agility, and strength, with a regeneration of 10.000 HP/sec and over 300.000 HP.
I quickly have to enhance myself, I don´t want to be weaker than my artificial guards.
"I have to excuse myself now, I have to speak with miss Bose." Me
"Have a nice day mistress." They said and bowed.....
