Unexpected Visitor

I WOKE up around 1 o'clock in the afternoon with a massive headache. That's what I hated the most. Because I became unproductive and all that I do is to lie on my bed.

"That's why I don't want to go in the first place." I muttered to myself.

Ding! dong!

"Go away! I don't want to buy that cookies!" I shouted.

Ding! dong! Ding! dong! Ding! dong!

Ugh! So annoying! I said that I don't want to buy her stupid cookies but she keeps on pressing the doorbell.

I get out of my bed angrily, ready to kill the girl that keeps on pressing my doorbell.

"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not fan of y-"

I stop at mid sentence because it's not a girl that keeps on pressing my doorbell but it's Maxriel.

"Oh sorry about that.. I thought it's the girl that sells a cookies.. what are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Sorry about that... I'm just here to give this to you," he show me my purse.

"You left it last night in my car," he explained.

"Uh..thanks,"

I'm going to close my door but he's still standing in front of my door.

"Uh..are going to say something?"

"Uh.. right," he chuckled awkwardly.

"Here," he handed me a paper bag.

I raised my eyebrow at him.

"I bought a ramen for you, cure for hangover."

"Uh.. thanks, but you don't need to do this. I can handle my self."

"I know but it's just that I thought you didn't eat yet. That's why I bought you food.." he sighed. "Uh... I gotta take my leave now," and he turns his back.

I stared at his retreating back and look at the bag that he gave me.

Why is he doing this? What are you up to Max? Why all of a sudden you became friendly?

That's the thought that keeps on bugging me when I go back to my room. Ugh! I really hate this fucking hangover.

Oh speaking of it I look at the paper bag that he gave. He said ramen is cure for hangover.

I hurriedly opened the bag and there are three plastic containers.

I opened the first container. "Wow my favorite moist chocolate cake,"

The second one contains mango salsa and the last one is a ramen that is still smoking hot.

Upon seeing those foods suddenly my stomach grumble.

I put the salsa and cake in the fridge. And I transfer the ramen in a bowl and eat it.

After I finished eating I drink an advil and took a cold shower to ease my hangover.

I am busy cleaning my entire room when I received a phone call.

"Hello,"

"Amira when will you be going home? Your exam is already finsihed, why are you still staying there?"

"Mom, I'm still sorting out my things and I still have some laundry to do. Maybe a day after tommorrow if my clothes already dried up."

"Make sure you're already here on that date. And don’t do anything stupid when you arrive here. I don't want to be humiliated AGAIN."

"Okay mom, I gotta hang this up I'm still cleaning,"

"Okay bye,"

"Bye mom, I-"

The call ended before I finished my sentence.

"I love you," I just sighed.

It's always like this every time that she hangs up the call.

Haaa... I wonder if dad's with us, will I feel this way? It's like I'm a prisoner in my own body. Even though I don’t want to go back in that place, I can’t because they just allow me to be away for five years. And it’s been long overdue.

I’ve been running away for five years and now I must face them. Even though it’s still hard for me, I can’t dodge my fate because whatever running away that I make. There a point wherein I could meet them again.

I grab the broom and I continue in cleaning up my room. Those hand-outs that been scattered everywhere during my exam week, I gathered i and pile it. Then I put them in a mega box. Same with my books I stack it neatly and put in my study table.

So there's left me with my dirty clothes. I'll just wash them tommorrow first thing in the morning.

It's already 8 pm when I finish cleaning my entire room and I'm tired and famished. My last meal is the ramen that Max gave me. I don't have a supplies anymore. What's only here is a cake and a mango salsa that also came from him.

So I guess, Cake will my supper for tonight.

I'M busy hanging my clothes in the roof deck when my landlady came.

"Good morning Mrs. Robson," I greeted her.

"Morning, Lav there's someone waiting outside your room." She informed me.

"Okay, I'll just finish this." I politely answered her.

After that she left. Who could be that person and why is the reason of his/her visit? It's effin six thirty in the morning.

When I finished hanging all my clothes I took a lift and go back to my unit. I was nearing in the door of my unit when I saw a familiar back of a person that is standing outside my door.

No it can't be. He's not real right? I know he's in Pennsylvania together with his wife.

My knees and hands starts to tremble upon seeing his back. As much as I want to walk away, I can't. Seems like my body is shutting down on it's own. Cold sweats started to drop on my face. Suddenly I felt my chest tighten and my vision starts to fade.

Before I lost my balance, I felt someone grabs my hand and carries me away from that man.

"Sshhh... Baby don't cry you're now safe." He wipped my tears and kissed me on my temple.

"Help me please," I begged the person who carries me.

After I said those words, everything went black.

I felt that I was being put on a soft matress and after that someone checks my pulse rate. And they put an IV in my arm. I flinch because the nurse didn't put the needle well in my vein.

"The fuck! Do it appropriately! You might kill her because of your stupidity." I hear someone shouts at the nurse who is now tending at me.

I regain my consciousness when we arrived at the hospital but my vision is still blurry. I can't see clearly the man who brought me here.

"I-I'm sorry," the nurse stuttered because she's afraid at the man who is sitting beside me.

"Thank y-you,"

"Baby you need to rest,"

"I'm scared," It comes out as a whisper.

"Ssshhh... I'm here, no one would hurt you," he said while caressing my face.

I hold his hand which makes him shocked a little.

Tears starts to fall from my eyes.

"Don't leave me please... I don't want to be alone," I pleaded at him.

"Sshhh...don't cry, just sleep. I won't leave you. I will stay here until you will be discharge."

With that it made me calm and I dozed off because of too much exhaustment that I felt emotionally and physically.
