"Addison, stop!"
Jackson yelled holding his hand out for me to seize my actions. Next to him with his hair messy and unkept was Luke.
"There's no need for violence. We can just talk things out like normal."
What the heck were they talking about? Why the hell did they follow me anyway, it's not like my business has anything to do with them anyway?
"You-"
Cutting them off by raising my hand I turned to them with a look of pure confusion fused with irritation.
"Firstly violence is always the answer. It gets things done faster. Secondly, why are you even here? You're in my way, can't you see that?!"
The two boys looked to each other for an answer, Ian on the other hand was busy making his way into the restaurant. Completely ignoring the entire situation.
"We....well we wanted to stop you from doing anything dangerous."
Jackson said seemingly unsure of both himself and his words.
"Yeah, you told us to get you at the police station if you're not at school and took off with a metal bat in hand. What else were we supposed to do?!"
Squinting my eyes I gave him a "really?" look. Rolling my eyes I shifted my attention away from the two idiots and gave Tony a death glare.
Voice dark and emotionless I said to him pointing at him with my bat.
"You have exactly five seconds to let them go and run."
His eyes widened in terror and shock. In less than a second, he let them go and immediately darted off in a different direction.
An evil smirk fully displayed on my face I crouched down to the floor in a ready-to-sprint position and ran up after him.
"Run little bunny, run!"
Before he could enter his car with his keys in hand I jumped onto his back. The sheer force caused us to fall flat on the ground with me still on his back.
"Thanks for breaking my fall, now let me repay your kindness with my own."
I said with a sickeningly sweet voice. Using the bat I placed it under his chin against his neck and pulled back.
He relentlessly struggled against my hold but I was not budging at all.
"Die!"
"Please, le-let me go"
He pleaded while trying to pry the bat off his throat. But there was no use begging for his worthless life.
"Oh, you wish to be let free?"
I asked with a crazy-girl look in my eyes. Now frightened more than he was previously he began crying like a little wuss.
His face contorted in pain as tears ran down his cheeks mixing with his snot. Disgusted by the liquid I cringed at the sight.
"Yeah, this is not what I signed up for."
Getting off him I removed the bat from his neck only to place a foot on his head and man did I always want to do that!
Like a badass assassin, I looked down at him. One cheek was crushed underneath my foot and the other was firmly pressed against the hard gravel ground.
"You've bored me so I'll let you go. But only this once. If ever I find you anywhere near Alison again,"
Crouching down so he could see the ferocity in my eyes, foot still on his cheek I said with a dark tone.
"I will end you. Got it?"
He frantically nodded his head in understanding as tears streamed down his eyes landing on the ground. The motion caused his cheek to scratch against the gravel, bruising his already ugly face.
"Good!"
Changing my attitude from psycho killer to cute and innocent girl in less than a second, I removed my foot off his head.
Bringing the bat onto my shoulder I turned around in a happy go-to attitude and walked back to my friends, eyes closed in glee, smile wide and cute with a skip in my step.
"So, breakfast?"
I asked my two besties a look of contentment adorned on my smug face.
They looked at each other and then back at me, without hesitation they grabbed me by the arms and loudly exclaimed
"Let's go get food!"
"Hell yeah!"
I laughed at my crazy best friends who could easily overlook my actions and go on like I never even tried to commit a murder right before their eyes.
"Alright, but you guys are paying. I did rescue you after all."
"Say what now? No way, I don't wanna!"
Alison argued borrowing her brows. Kat gave her a smack on the back of her head and glared softly at her.
"Yes, we are. We owe her Alison. Besides, this all happened because of you!"
"Wha- how's this my fault?!"
She asked looking offended.
"You could have said no when Tony called you over but nope. You just had to be submissive and give in."
She rolled her eyes at her friend and I laughed. Alison gave me a heavy glare and I immediately shut my mouth, smile wiped clean off my face.
"Okay, I get that it's partly my fault but you could have stopped me!"
"I did!"
"Well, you should have tried harder!"
"Excuse me, what do I look like your subconsciousness?"
"Yes! You are the one with common sense between the two of us, actually between all three of us. Addie is completely insane."
My head whipped in Alison's direction, mouth agape in disbelief I rebelled at her words.
"What the hell do you mean by that? I'm completely sane!"
She gave me a deadpan look and scoffed at my words.
"Adds, you came here with a metal bat. And nearly strangled a guy to death. What do you call that?"
She asked with a brow raised.
"Uhm, being a good friend?"
I answered with a "duh" tone as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Which I'm sure it was.
"What, no! You call that insane."
"No, I-"
"Uhm, Addison?"
Interrupted mid-sentence I looked to the guy who had the gull to do so.
"What?"
"You guys realize we're still here right?"
Jackson asked with a brow raised. I mean I knew they were still standing there but I just ignored them.
"Yeah, and?"
I asked with a harsh tone. For some reason that is when he chose to keep his mouth shut.
I raised a brow in a "please continue" sort of way. It took him a while before he was able to piece together a sentence.
"W-well, Uhm...can we join you?"
My brows scrunched up in confusion at his request and I looked to my two friends for confirmation.
"He's asking you"
Kat whispered in my ear. Slightly taken aback by that it took me a while to finally register what it was they asked.
"Uh, I guess?"
I said unsure of my answer. But that seemed like the right answer.
Both he and Luke perked up in glee and that just freaked me out even further than I already was.
Why the hell were they happy about sharing a meal with us when I clearly showed my distaste for them these past few days?
Oh my gosh, are they, masochists?! That would make total sense!
"Hey, nutso don't think of creepy shit like that"
I looked at Alison in shock. She knew what I was thinking?
"Yes I did"
What is she, freaking psychic?
"How'd you know what I was thinking?"
"It's pretty obvious with the faces you keep pulling"
She answered rolling her eyes.
Walking into the restaurant I saw Ian seated at the far back, so we went the opposite way.
Taking our seats at a booth in the opposite corner Alison and Katty sat next to each other across from me.
Forgetting about the two boys who asked to eat with us, I picked up the menu and frantically scanned it with the utmost interest.
It was only when the space next to me was occupied that I remembered the boys. My smile quickly vanished from my lips and I sank into the sofa.
"Forgot about those two."
I mumbled to myself. By the looks I got at the table, everyone must have heard me.
One would usually be embarrassed if something like that happened to them, however, according to Ally I'm not normal.
So instead I rolled my eyes in disinterest and continued scanning the menu.
"Okay then, I'll call over a waitress"
Kat announced trying to ease the sudden tension at the table.
"You guys ordering?"
She asked the two boys seated beside me.
"Yeah actually."
I turned to them my eyes squinted in distrust.
"You guys are paying for yourselves."
I bluntly blurted out without thought.
"Addie!"
Kat exclaimed smacking her hand on the table, like how a mother would when scolding her child.
"What?"
"You can't be nice for just one second?"
"Nope, it's physically impossible for me"
"What do you mean by that?!"
She asked in utter confusion and disbelief.
"It's actually true, remember when she tried being nice for a day?"
Ally spoke up.
"Huh? When?"
"It was last year three days before Christmas. She tried being nice and considerate in preparation for the big day."
"Oh yeah,"
Kat looked up to the ceiling in reminiscence.
"She was acting stranger than usual with offering to help and the like."
"Yeah, but it didn't last long. On Christmas, she blew up and just dissed everyone. It was brutal"
Ally ended off making a gesture of a bomb going off.
"Well, you guys dared me to be nice for at least three days to test out the theory of whether I could be friendly or nah!"
I argued pointing at my best friends in accusation.
"Well, we had to find out the truth. And a conclusion was drawn up from the experiment so no harm no foul."
Alison shrugged her shoulders while Kat just shook her head in disappointment.
"Hey, don't shake your head. You decided to be our friend, now you're stuck with us forever!"
Pointing my finger at her I deliberately shook it for dramatic effect. She smacked it out of her face and ignored me to call over a waitress.
My mouth fell open at her actions. Just as I was pulling my bat up from in between my thighs, Ally held my hand down and mouthed the word "No" while shaking her head.
Lowering my weapon back underneath the table, I scowled in dissatisfaction.
"Hmph"
"Wow, you guys really are interesting."
Luke spoke up from the other side of the booth. Seated next to him was Jackson who was squished between the two of us.
"You have no idea"
Ally answered with an exasperated sigh. She leaned on her hand, elbow firmly placed on the table.
"You realize he's talking about you too, right?"
She rolled her eyes at me and scoffed.
"Ugh, Kat where's the waitress? I'm dying of hunger!"
"Yeah yeah, she's coming alright."
Just then a girl popped up seemingly out of nowhere and with a wide smile and bubbly personality greeted us.
"Hi, there! My name's Harley and I'll be your waitress today."
Oh gosh, she's a psychopath.
"I-"
Before Luke could utter a word I interrupted him
"No thank you, I think we'll actually be leaving now!"
She seemed puzzled by that and so did everyone else.
"Addison what are you-"
"You can go now. Go on, go on."
I shooed her away.
Confused and a bit hesitant she turned around to walk away occasionally glancing back to our table. It was only after I glared at her that she stopped and only faced forward.
I scoffed at that and looked to my friends who in turn gave me questionable looks.
"What?"
I asked with a brow raised.
"Dude, what the hell?"
Ally asked completely confused, Kat's reaction was no different either.
"Yeah, why'd you do that?"
"That wasn't cool, at all."
Jackson commented shaking his head at me.
"Guys, you can't tell me you didn't see what I saw!"
They looked even more confused as I said that.
"See what?"
Luke asked
"The fact that she's crazy!"
I exclaimed. They all gave me a what-the-fudge look as if I was the crazy one. Which I was but that's beside the point.
"What gives you the impression that she's crazy?"
I turned to Jackson with a dead serious look.
"I know 'cause she had that crazy look in her eyes. Trust me I know crazy, 'cause I am crazy."
Ally and Kat agreed on that while the two gentlemen still sat confused.
"So? It doesn't justify what you did and just saying someone is crazy doesn't make them crazy!"
"But just saying someone isn't crazy doesn't make them not crazy!"
"Wha-"
"Just don't Jackson. There's no winning an argument with an idiot dude"
Alison spoke up waving her hand to dismiss my existence.
"Hey!"
"It's true and you know it."
Once again I lifted my bat from underneath the table, this time it was Jackson who held my hand and lowered it back.
And again I scoffed in irritation.
"In any case, it doesn't matter what you guys think. The signs of an insane person were all there. Her eyes widened into saucers when she looked at Jackson and Luke not to mention her name! I mean Harley? Come on, guys! She's obviously an obsessive psychopath"
Silence filled the table as all eyes turned to me like I was an idiot.
Wait, seriously I know this is the truth damn it!
"Huh, you know what I'm too tired to deal with you right now."
"Ally's right, besides we gotta head to school before we're late."
The two slipped out of the booth and walked to the exit. Luke and Jackson soon followed after leaving me behind.
Scrambling after them I continued trying to reason with them.
"Wait, guys just listen for a sec. I swear there's a perfectly good reason for my-"
"No!"
They all exclaimed in unison, shutting me right down.
Wow, well that didn't sting at all.
