The Meeting

Harley, Preston, and Roxanne woke up and heard a voice say, "well, looks like running and fighting didn't help you either; at least you guys can fight, so there won't be any dead bodies here, not to be creepy." Confused, they all turned to the voice to see a boy about Harley's age.

The Kids were on bunk beds that could hold three people. Preston is on the middle bunk. Roxanne is on the lower bunk. Harley is on the top, falling off the top with a loud bang. Which, in turn, woke up two other people in the room with screams as they fell off their bunk bed with a loud groan of pain. Harley and the others turned to two new girls. Harley brushed it aside and said to the boy, "well, isn't that twisted-"

"-And don't say it's not creepy or twisted when it is creepy. That sir is called a Dumb Point of View," Preston said.

Everyone stared at Preston with a weird look while Harley asked him monotonously, "What are you? a dictionary."

The door seemed to open, which in turn scared all the kids with two guards coming in. Since Harley went back on the top bunk, she proceeded to fall a second time. This time Harley fell on one of the girls. A groan of irritation was heard from Harley, who had no pain, while the one user her was quite the opposite; she was in plenty of pain. "I hate this triple bunk." After witnessing what happened, the two guards spoke. "The new kid could take a hit." "Agreed," the second one answered.

"It's time for breakfast in the cafeteria. Follow now and keep up."

The kids followed and kept quiet surprisingly once they arrived, and each kid took a seat at table 10b; then, they continued their conversation from their dorm before.

They decided to introduce each other appropriately. They started with their names.

"The name's Harley Hunter."

"I'm Roxanne Hack, and this is my twin brother, Preston."

They turned to the boy they had first met, who turned out to be the same person kidnapped in front of them at the orphanage. He didn't say a word and was quiet.

"Ok then…I'll go first. I'm Quinn Smyth. Ha, that's cool; we got a Harley and a Quinn. Ok moving on, and this is my cousin Mie."

"Hi, I'm Mie Sazuki," Mie said in a shy, quiet voice.

"Dyl, introduce yourself," said Quinn toward the dirty blonde-haired boy with sapphire dark blue eyes.

With a glare, he replied monotone, "Dylan Drift."

"Now that we all know who is who. Can we have some questions answered? What is this place used for?" Started Harley.

"We don't know too much even though we've been here for a couple of months," Quinn.

"What serums did you all get?" a question came from Dylan quite surprisingly. "mine was teal, and it said nature manipulation," said Quinn. "Mine was a light blue, and it said hydropower, so... yeah…" said Mie.

"She has no clue what that is-"

"Same here," was a reply from both twins.

Harley and Dylan both answered, "able to control water. Hydrokinesis or Aquakinesis."

Harley and Dylan got weird looks from the twins. Harley then looked at the twins, nodded, and said, "Comics; moving on now."

"Then it's my turn; it was weird because I got not only one but two colours. It was dark purple and a neon kind of green. It said Electrokinesis; it's obvious what that power is. There is no need to get smart, Ley. It also said 'danger rank.' I have no idea what that meant."

"It means that you got the rarest rank of Electrokinesis," Dylan explained, seemingly without emotion but pretty quiet.

"I got the same Serum as my sister. By the way, how do you know this much about this place, Dylan?" said Preston.

"My parents told me stories about it before they went missing. I figured out all these powers, ranks, danger, and mysteries they put in their stories. Once I got taken from the L.O.P, I figured it was all real. And that It was their way of warning me about the L.O.P. And my suspicions were right after being forced to train and live here for the past three years. I learned that my parents had a group of friends who fought back against this place, titled the L.O.P."

"That was the most you've ever spoken, Dylan," a statement from Preston. "Well, isn't that great? They are kidnapping us to put us to work. To train for them. Isn't the government or the military going to stop this?" said Rox.

"well... Roxy. By the thinks of it, they are probably run by the government. It's pretty obvious that the government is hiding this from the world, like normal. We were forced into this 'Death Trap' of governmental activities. As far as I can see, that run-downed orphanage was being paid to hand out kids to the government for experimenting. Wait-...we have powers now, right?! Hard to believe, really, but...we've seen some pretty weird stuff lately, especially on the news. People on the news were shown lifting stuff out of nowhere, but because they never caught those people, they thought it was a prank. People even gave them names; don't they call them Immunes?" a pretty good explanation from Harley was given, raising some questions the others never thought of.

"Yeah, I heard about them from some of the teachers talking. They were called Immunes. Some people believed they had powers while others...well, while others didn't. They called them fakers, frauds, and different kinds of things. But how can we ensure they are included in the L.O.P?" asked Preston while hitting some big points.

"They were talking about it for a while in the orphanage. They said something about a fight being close by," Roxanne added.

"Well, we saw some of the L.O.P's top guards. The ones that go out to fight others. They left to 'capture' some rogues from the L.O.P. Apparently; the news could have got some of the fights on film. Once they brought back those people, no one ever knew what happened to them," Quinn stated.

"So now we are ensured that somehow they mixed up with the L.O.P."

"Now that we got that down. I forgot to mention that each power symbolizes different qualities. It could be negative or positive. For example, the strongest and rarest serum go to the strongest leadership roles. Thus, Pyrokinesis wielders are the strongest emotionally; depending on how well they know strategy or intelligence could mean a completely different thing. Fire symbolized the powerful color. The colour red shows loyalty, passion, and Ect. If you are a negative and selfish person, you get an uncontrollable negative way of using that power. This can manifest as being scattered, manic, burning out, and having superficial relationships. So a negative outcome of fire would be a betrayal. Harley, you didn't mention your serum?" Dylan answered Harley's question.

"Wow, he speaks!" A comment from Roxanne. Dylan turned to Harley with a look that was quite hard to register, but at least he was showing a bit of emotion, although you couldn't understand what part of emotions. Harley was very questioning until his voice spoke again.

"What did you get...?"

"...I got red..."

Quinn and Mie were extremely surprised. Dylan had a different reaction, one of which he wasn't surprised. Dylan had more of a worried glance, something he seemed to hide.

After 10 minutes, Quinn and Mie got up from table 10B to get their breakfast together. Once they finished. Quinn said dramatically, "We have to go to training in three, two, and a one."

Two guards came out from behind Quinn and Mie like they appeared out of nowhere and said, "Time for training; today, the lessons will be based on how to trace clues back to their original place. Follow, subjects 4X, 8X."

"Well, we have to get going, you heard them. Bye guys, see you at lunchtime," said Quinn.

"In case you get Mr. Wei, try not to get Mr. Wei angry. If you end up in his class, don't backtalk him. You don't want to know what happens," said Mie with a shiver from memory of such.

They just watched their friends Mie and Quinn walk out of the cafeteria and take a right to go to a clue or tracking section for training. After Dylan ate his breakfast, two guards came up to him to escort him to a training section. Still, for something entirely different from Quinn and Mie, another two took Preston and Roxy until finally Harley was left to go to an area of combat, making Harley believe more that they were making them a weapon.

After their classes, they each took turns to shower, brush their teeth, and then go to their assigned beds to be prepared and ready for whatever was prepared to come in due time...
