Chapter 6: Sneaky, Sneaky Mate

"And done!" Allen stated proudly. "You're fully healed and there's nothing to worry about. You can finally leave this depression room!" He joked and hoped that the boy would give him something more than a blank stare but well, it didn't work.

"Thank god!" Logan said but unlike his excited tone, his face was just as blank as his mate. Maybe a little more, if that's even possible.

It's been two weeks since their little moment but after that, there wasn't any other moment like that even though their relationship was now in a perfectly better place.

They grow closer and now they were comfortable around each other but they were still so far from each other worlds, however, that wasn't a problem since they are mates and they have a strong bond which will lead them toward each other.

Liam went to the bathroom for changing his clothes, infirmary's clothes if we want to be specific. After a little hesitating, he asked Logan for borrowing his clothes and Logan was more than happy to say yes even though his face never showed anything.

This way his scent would be all over Liam which was somehow like the marking ceremony and it made Crimson fight for taking control over his body and jumping in excitement but of course, Logan would never let that happen, at least he won't in front of anyone other than Liam. Only he was able to see this side of the future Alpha.

Liam wore Logan's black jeans and green shirt which made his emerald eyes look brighter than usual. He smelled the scent and surprised himself by feeling safe with just a scent.

It smelt like honey and coconut which was a really weird combination even though it was a calming scent to hear but, in the background, there was a beach scent too which helped Liam to relax a little.

Yep, Liam was super nervous. It was the first time that he would see the Mist pack. Their members. The only person that he knew was Logan, William, and Jordan, and Allen. Well, not Allen maybe, he was his doctor, not someone Liam talked to or got to know.

Are you planning on going out or what? Blue asked with a tone that Liam didn't recognize. What? You can't know everything about your wolf! And suddenly Blue was so defensive.

Wait a minute! Liam grinned full-heartedly for the first time. Slowly he was turning to the same hyper person he was and he had Logan for thanking. You want to see Logan, right? Holly Selene!

Shut up! And then Blue blocked him. This stupid mutt blocked Liam whenever he wanted even in between the important conversations and between Liam's words while Liam barely blocked him even when he was such a pain in the ass.

    Where's justice?

Liam shook his head in amusement and sighed. He was in a good mood for some unknown reason and even Blue's actions couldn't ruin it for him but if we want to be completely honest, Blue's attitude barely annoyed him.

He stepped out of the infirmary's bathroom and subconsciously walked near his mate who was deep in a conversation with Allen who was talking about some stupid medicine and weekly checkups for Liam.

Logan and Liam were nearly at the same height even though if you look a little closer you would see that Logan is taller and he also was more muscular than Liam which was pretty clear and it made his clothes hang just a little loosely on Liam that melted his heart, something that he would never confirm.

"Hope to don't see you again Liam!" Allan said the moment his eyes caught Liam's which made both of the boys in the room look at him with confusion which made him realize that what he said probably looked bad. "I mean in the infirmary!" Allen added quickly. No one wanted to mess with the future Luna while the future Alpha would be Mr. Moody.

"Oh!" Liam said quietly and then decided that Allen could be on his trust list. "Well thank you!" He smiled which caught the others in the room off guard. For people who didn't know the real Liam, it was a rare sight to see.

"You're welcome!" Allen beamed at Liam the was walking out of the room with Logan by his side. He smiled genuinely to himself while watching the soon-to-be-boyfriends. "Oh, I ship it!"

Meanwhile, William and Jordan were walking toward the infirmary to check on Liam and Logan but surprisingly they saw them at the door of the packhouse.

"Holly mother f—" Jordan was surprised to see them and well, he wasn't expressing his emotions very well in front of the teens as the Beta so William shut him up by putting his hand on Jordan's mouth.

"First of all, you're supposed to be the Beta that everyone looks up to and learns from him!" William scolded his Beta. "And second, you will be forty in two years and you still use holy with that word? No one mixes them like this!"

Jordan rolled his eyes while Logan watched with a blank expression that turned into a different emotion when he heard Liam giggling. Everyone turned silent and looked at the boy with emerald eyes.

"What?" Liam asked with his smile still on his face. "Is it that weird? Come on! I used to laugh a lot but if you're going to stare at me like this I won't smile anymore!" He joked.

Everyone tried to brush off the topic. There was a reason behind all those sudden smiles and giggles but well, let's just say he wasn't ready to talk about any of those dreams he had over these days with Selene.

Logan his arm in a protective manner over Liam's shoulder while leading him toward the big living room of the packhouse, far from the pack's Alpha and Beta. He didn't want his mate to stop smiling and his mate senses were telling him this is the real Liam.

Liam had dreams with Selene always in there telling him how to be a good mate and how his bond with Logan will change him for the better and that they were together for a greater reason.

She told him to be himself and he will see how good it felt to be back to normal and be straightforward with your mate while you're not hiding anything, not even your true colors, and honestly, it did feel great.

They passed a few pack members who bowed a little while saying something like "Good day Alpha." Or "Hope you have a good day Alpha." And for some people, it was just a simple "Hi Alpha.".

There was a comfortable silence between them and they were both enjoying their time together. Having someone who didn't complain about Logan's moody attitude was very comforting and great and at the same time having someone that Liam could trust and be himself with him was a great change in his life.

"Want a tour?" Logan offered. He usually talked in the mind-link but hearing his deep voice now and then was a good thing for Liam's happiness even though he was too stubborn to admit it. "Or just hang out somewhere?"

Liam smiled at his mate one more time but this time Logan stopped himself from letting his face show surprise. "I was in the same room in the infirmary for more than what? Four days? I will want to explore some places and let my legs burn some calory!" He beamed at his mate, happy to have a chance for talking without feeling the need to hide his emotions.

They were now at the massive modern but wooden kitchen with staff walking around there because Liam asked for water but Logan convinced him to have a cupcake with milk, making Liam feel like he's still a middle schooler but who he is to decline cupcakes?

"Then a tour of my bedroom!" Logan had a smirk on his face while watching Liam who choked on his milk as Logan patted his back. "Aw! Is my mate blushing?"

This was a new side of Logan that most of the people in the packhouse never saw it and well, Liam hadn't seen it too but he wished it would've stayed that way, at least when they were in front of so many people.

"I'm choking not blushing!" Liam lied but what's the point of lying when they both knew it was a lie? There was no point when Liam knew that Logan knew it was a lie. "What's with the sudden change of attitude Mr. Grumpy?" He joked.

"Oh, come on little brunette!" Logan said teasingly. For the first time in his life, he didn't care about the fact that people could see through his face and reach his emotions. "What's with the sudden change of attitude Mr. Brunette?"

They were walking and talking. Not caring about anything and anyone, probably one of the biggest mistakes in their life. They should have cared more about the paranoid feeling that they had. The feeling of being watched by thousands of strangers.

"You bastards!" Liam faked an annoyed expression. "How dare you use that adjective for me? That's for females! I'm a man!" Logan laughed which was surprising but Liam chose to stop getting shocked at this new Logan, the real Logan that was buried six feet under the ground at his heart.

They talked and laughed without caring where they are and where they're heading until Logan suddenly announced something. "And the tour is done!"

"Wait..." Liam said with a confused frown on his face. "Why we ended up in your bedroom?"
