Chapter 9: Time For Blue And Crimson

Time stopped for Liam. It looked like the birds stopped singing and the sound of the cooler was no longer there for him. His mate wasn't there. No one was there. It was just him and Nathan. His brother. He's supposed to be dead.

It was enough though. It was enough for Nathan's fake confidence to slip away and for Liam's bobble to finally break as the two brothers jumped into each other's embrace. They buried their heads into each other's neck as Liam nuzzled Nathan's neck while he did the same to his younger brother, hearing the scents that they wished to hear for a long time. A sign of affection between werewolves.

Logan just watched his mate as he cried into his brother's shoulder. Only the goddess knew how much he wanted to comfort his mate but both he and Crimson knew well that they shouldn't break the moment between the long-lost brothers.

It hurts to watch our mate crying. Crimson howled in disapproval, even though he knew he shouldn't say anything. Why can't we help him? He asked but he knew the answer and Logan knew it so he just blocked his wolf out of his mind.

On the other side, Liam hugged his brother tightly and Nathan did the same. They were both crying. "Shh little brother. It will be okay." Nathan managed to say between tears. His brother wasn't that hyper teenager anymore. He was much more.

When they finally broke apart, the first thing that they saw was each other's tear-stained faces. Nathan turned his gaze to the muscular boy that was only a few inches taller than Liam and a few inches shorter than himself. He glared at him and if looks could kill, Logan would have been six feet under the ground.

Logan came and stood next to his mate as he put a hand protectively over Liam's shoulder. Liam looked up but he didn't need to look at his mate's face to see the emotions, though Logan would barely show them. He looked into the bond; his mate's eyes were like an open book about his emotions for him.

Logan was sad because his mate was sad. He was happy because his mate was happy. He was confused because his mate was confused. After all, no matter what, they were always together in everything. He gave Logan a small smile and leaned in his touch. His mate was his support and finally, at some point, he would be the only thing that Liam needed for being happy. The exchange between the new couple didn't go unnoticed by Nathan.

It felt weird to be there, for all of them.

Logan for the first time in his life felt awkward for being somewhere. He felt a little out of place but the second that Liam accepted his act of affection, all the doubts flew away. Liam accepted him then there was no place for worrying.

Nathan didn't know what to do. His brother was there. He finally found him but he had a mate and he was happy. Nathan tracked his brother's scent and managed to get unnoticed by the Mist pack. Liam was in the pack's infirmary when he found him but by the look of it, it wasn't his brother's mate that did something to him. He found Liam. But now what? He can't ruin the happy bubble of the new couple.

And Liam. He didn't know what to do. He hugged his brother, he felt him. He was real. It wasn't just his imaginations. His mind wasn't just playing tricks on him the way it did for the past two years. But why now? Why Nathan never tried to found him? And at the top of all those questions, there was the most important one: Why's Nathan alive?

And yet again, there was another visitor that suddenly talked. The way Nathan broke the atmosphere between the mates a few minutes ago, now William and Miranda broke it between the three persons in the room.

"Nathan?" Miranda gasped. She was like a second mother to Nathan, the same way that William was a second father for Liam. "Oh, Nathan!" She cried and ran to embrace the young man only to get pulled back by her mate, William. "Will! What are you doing?"

William didn't say anything. He only opened the mind-link between himself and his son. You have to take your mate out of thois place. Technically it should take a few seconds for saying those words out loud but in a mind-link, it was only a second. The order and the warning were clearer than the sky. Logan only nodded and took his mate's hands while letting Crimson take the power of the human body for faster speed.

After five seconds, they were in the middle of the woods, far from the packhouse and the infirmary, where Liam's brother, Nathan, was that for some reason William thought was a dangerous situation.

It only took five more seconds for Liam to come out from his shocked status and pulling himself away from Logan. "What are you doing?" He shouted angrily. "Why the hell William did that? Why did you take me away from my brother? My long-lost brother and you of all of the people should know how much seeing him again means to me! Why did you do that? Tell me why Logan? What was that about?"

Liam shouted but he didn't know that this wasn't Logan that he was talking to.

"My mate…" Crimson whispered and even though his voice didn't have so much difference with Logan and others would never be able to tell the difference between it but Liam could. He looked up so quickly after hearing Crimson that his neck gave a crack sound. His yellow eyes had a longing gaze as he looked at his ate for the first time. He had seen Liam in Logan's imagination but this is different.

Liam had the same feelings. He never saw Crimson before, only heard his voice and that was through a mind-link. This was different. Crimson had a sharper jaw and his eyes shined brightly with the yellow color. His hair was the same color as his fur when Logan turned into his wolf form, magnificent crimson, the reason behind his name. His eyes showed more emotions than Logan's and he had a little smiley face tattoo under his right eye.

"You're Crimson." It wasn't a question. Crimson was his other mate. They looked at each other's eyes and it was different from all the times that Liam looked at Logan but both of the looks hold the same emotions, love.

"My mate," Crimson whispered again but this time he attacked his mate with his lips and pulled Liam toward his body. Their body pressed together and Liam melted in his mate's embrace. They cherished the feeling of having each other but Liam knew he should leave soon. He couldn't take the opportunity from Blue.

Liam smiled in the kiss and then let his excited wolf take control of the human body. Crimson felt the change and opened his eyes and met the magnificent blue pupils.

Blue's eyes hold so much wisdom. He had a relaxing calm aura around himself that had the power to calm any creature. Blue's skin was paler than Liam's slightly tanned skin and his hair was blue, the same as his fur in his wolf form, the reason that they called him Blue.

Crimson watched his mate as Blue did the same. Liam was his mate too but the bond between the wolf and wolf or human and human was way stronger than the bond between the wolf and human, even though that's pretty strong too.

"My mate," Blue repeated Crimson's word and brought his left hand to Crimson's right cheek, where his tattoo laid peacefully.

This single action brought affection to both of the wolves' hearts and made them forget about everything that happened in the infirmary. They forgot about Nathan and William. They forgot the whole world as they stared into each other's eyes.

The unusual yellow eyes looked lovingly to the bright blue ones but the owner of the yellow eyes was scared of rejection. He knew that Blue was the one that insisted on not having a mate and even though they started the soulmates' bond, he couldn't help but feel insecure.

"I love you, my mate." Blue felt the insecurity in Crimson's words as he heard those magical words that washed over all of his worries about the situation that brought them to this part of the woods. The only right way was to give his mate the same feeling of security, of being loved by the person that you love the most.

"I love you, Crimson." It was the first time that Crimson heard his wolf mate calling him by his name and the fact that it followed the simple yet meaningful words only made it a thousand times better.

A single tear rolled down Crimson's cheek as he stared at Blue. The words meant so much for him to hear and the honesty in Blue's eyes was a bonus to the happy, wonderful package. Blue smiled and cupped Crimson's cheek and locked their lips. Butterflies on both of the boys' stomachs.

"We should leave," Blue whispered in between the kisses. No matter how much the electricity that came from every single touch distracted them, they had a serious situation about a new wolf on the infirmary with Logan's and Crimson's parents and the fact that the wolf was Liam's and Blue's older and supposed-to-be-dead brother, didn't help either.

"We will meet again like this," Crimson whispered and then kissed Blue again while both of them gave up the control to the real owner of the bodies.

They opened their eyes and it was again Liam and Logan. The boy with brown hair and emerald eyes kissing the boy with brown hair and brown-gold eyes that were holding him tightly and pressed their bodies together.

"Wolves are quite affectionate, aren't they?" Logan smiled his rare smile and looked at his mate that was looking back at him with a grin and shining eyes.

"As much as I like to make out with you in the middle of the woods," Liam grinned when he saw a faint blush on Logan's face and his eyes were shining with mischief. "We have family problems back in my second home." Second-home stands for the infirmary of the packhouse.

He joked for making the situation less real. It was a habit of him that made always made Logan worry about him because when he faced reality, he will face a trauma. He didn't like the sight of his mate in the infirmary's bed. It always manages to make him worried sick.

"Let me mind-link my dad first," Logan said with a sigh. With every passing second, the light left his eye more and more. The thoughts of his brother clouded his mind and eyes. Why did William make them run?

What happened, father? Logan thanked the goddess that they weren't that far for his father no to hear them. Why did you do that when you knew as well as me how much seeing a family member, an Eclipse pack member, means to him?

Nathan was never dead. Logan heard his father from the other side of the mind-link. The weird tone that he had while saying that sentence worried him. He never heard William with such a threatening sound.

What do you mean? Logan asked as his mate cuddled him with a teary face and nuzzled him for comfort. That was when he remembered he forgot to block Liam and he couldn't do that now. No matter what, Liam will hear his thoughts, Logan won't be able to pretend things are okay and blocking him now only made it look suspicious and will give the bad news vibe pretty easily.

He was the only one that was infected by the mate killers' master virus. He killed his mate without feeling anything

    He was quarantined…
