"No!" Liam's knees gave up and he crashed to the ground. "No! No! No! No!"
"Liam, babe?" Logan looked at his serious mate with a concerned expression but he knew better than to force his mate to say anything or even try to get close. Long story, short, the virus didn't give him the chance. It was still there. "It's okay. You are fine. Don't freak out, alright?"
"No Logan!" Both Blue and Liam shouted together. Liam's eyes were a complete and pure blue color, Blue's color, but his hair was still the light brown color, Liam's. "You don't get it! It is a virus! V I R U S! Touch someone while they are infected and you will be infected soon!"
"Look at me, Liam." Crimson took control and leaned down and sat next to his trembling mate. "Didn't I promise we will face everything together?" Logan took control again when Crimson left the situation for him. "You have to let me in for that."
"I can't!" Liam cried. The sight of his mate with so much misery pained him both physically and mentally. Logan had tears in his eyes too but he couldn't let them fall. He had to be strong for his mate.
Move closer. Crimson guided Logan. Technically it should be the other way around, Logan saying the wise thing if he says, but this time he was in so much pain that he couldn't focus. Crimson being the strong Alpha blooded, had to be stronger.
"Let me in Liam," Logan whispered as he walked closer and closer. He remembered something that his mother told him when he was little about acting with patience and try to look cool and collected in situations that he didn't have the patience nor a collected mind.
"I can't…" Liam whispered tiredly as if all those dramas in his life finally took the control of his body. He was tired and sad. He was heartbroken and he felt betrayed. "I can't…"
"You will let me in," Logan whispered and finally embraced his trembling mate and let their scents mix. "You have to," Logan stated with a firm tone. "For both of us."
Liam didn't answer but he accepted the warm embrace and tried to calm his thoughts. He acted so selfishly since day one. He always broke down and he was the one that weakened their bond. He selfishly tried to kill himself while he knew his other half would die too with him. He was so selfish. He felt so ashamed. Logan deserved better than some unstable infected Omega like him.
You're wrong my child. The sudden soothing voice in his mind startled him.
Selene. Recognition washed over him as he detected the Moon goddess's voice. It calmed his nerves and gave his mind a little peace and space to think clearly about the situation and thankfully, it stopped those nonsenses, as Selene liked to put it like that.
"The goddess?!" Logan heard the voice too and was too shocked to say anything else.
Logan. Selene's voice was soft and without age and genderless. The voice of the Moon goddess was well known as a blessing by the others who reached a great level of communicating it.
As a blue light came near them like a little ball, Liam and Logan's eyes started to change color again. Their consciousness was divided equally between their human and wolf spirit
It's okay my beautiful creatures. The blue light came closer and closer but they realized it wasn't completely blue. The crimson-colored dots were here and there.
Just like our mate's soul… Crimson stated and looked closer.
Bravo future Alpha of the Mist pack. Selene's voice and Logan's statement clicked something inside of the insecure Liam.
"I never let you in…" Liam said, his voice barely above a whisper. He turned and looked straight into Logan's eyes; the tears were long gone now. "That's the reason it always hurt so much! It was impossible!"
Logan smiled at his frightened mate and hugged him tightly. He knew Liam didn't do all of those things purposely. "It's okay Liam." He caressed his lover's cheek and smiled fondly at his innocent doe eyes.
"People say the last is in the past but we know better than that to believe it. Time will heal but nothing can heal the scars from the past. But you can ignore it because I will be there for you. I will help you as I promised and I will make thousands of these speeches every day if it's needed."
They both chuckled and Liam leaned in and kissed him happily on the lips. It was so easy forgetting about everything when Logan turned to be this speech-maker person. The kiss remained soft and gentle with a slow pace unlike most of the others that they shared which were hot and lust-filled.
This one was a reminder of their passion and love for each other. Liam let his mate in and their spirits finally marked each other as they became one mentally and shared the same soul.
The crimson in the bright ball mixed with the blue and the colors started to turn around each other. The ball shared an equal amount of blue and crimson.
That's right my unique creature. Selene's voice rang through Liam's mind. Accept your mate. You will need the power.
When they finally broke apart, Logan finally felt what he wanted to feel for so long: Liam's emotions. Their spirits were fully marked now and nothing would be able to keep them apart. He felt the amount of love that Liam felt for him and it was so good. It felt so good to know it with all your heart.
"I'm so sorry Logan…" Liam whispered against his mate's lips and hugged him tighter.
"It's okay my beautiful mate," Logan whispered back as he drew soothing circles around Liam's neck. They both needed a push in their relationship to finally reaching their true potential. Now, nothing could stop the powerful Moon couple.
Nothing can stop them… With that Selene left this world without saying anything else.
The couple didn't notice Selene's words and kept the slow and gentle rhythm of their meaningful kiss. Logan's thin lips matched Liam's plump ones perfectly. The slightly shorter boy intertwined his hands at the back of Logan's head and the taller one kept Liam close by pushing his body closer to himself.
"Logan…" Liam broke their kiss and looked up to Logan. "We have an important mission ahead of us." When Liam saw the worried look on Logan's face, he smiled a big smile that showed the deep dimples at both of his cheeks. "Now that we know for some reason, I'm not infected by the virus that Nathan carried, I believe there will be a cure for it."
Logan sighed. He didn't want to leave this happy bubble that they created moments ago but life didn't work this way. "You're right." He sighed again and gave Liam one last lingering kiss. "I swear I will do everything that will make you happy."
"You don't have to do anything." Liam smiled again and looked at the Alpha. "Just be here. That will always be enough."
Together they would face every problem that life will throw at them but it didn't matter. They weren't alone in this way. They had people that loved them. People who would do anything for them.
And on top of that,
They had each other.
