Sandra got up and handed us a piece of paper. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped when I saw the picture.
An amazing looking car met my eyes. I fell in love right then. Love at first sight. It was beautiful.
I loved driving I drove a lot.
I used to be a rally driver just like my father. The best in the world. I looked up to him. I loved him. One year he was challenged by an opponent for the champion title. He believed in me so much that he let me drive against the opponent.
Keep in mind that I was seven at the time and that it was technically illegal. But I won anyway!
I remember he and mum let me stay up late that night and I thought it was the best thing in the world. My brother just kept teasing me because he thought he was better than me. He wasn't wrong. He was better than me but I never let him know that.
"They match the color of your guns. And I know you both like driving so... There you go. There's your surprise. Do you like it?" She asked anxiously looking bacm between me and Ryder waiting for a response.
"HELL YEAH! Thank you!" We said in unison. I was practically jumping in my seat wanting to drive the car already.
"There at the house in Ireland. So you can take them to school and maybe even to the mall. Up to you. Their yours."
My eyes wouldn't move from the piece of paper. I was so excited I couldn't keep still.
"Show me yours." I asked Ryder as I turned my page to show him mine.
His was a florescent yellow and had black alloys. I liked it but not as much as mine. Mine was a hell of a lot better.
I got startled when Sandra's phone started to ring. She picked it up and gave us an apologetic look and proceed to walk out the room.
I ran over to Ryder and placed my butt on the chair beside him. I looked at his sheet and then back at mine.
"Mine is better." I stated proudly. Holding the picture up infront of me, admiring it. Ryder huffed and smirked at me in disbelief.
"Your kidding me right. Theres no way that" he paused, pointing at my sheet of papper before continuing.
"Can compare to this beauty." Be finished.
I rolled my eyes, got up amd headed towards the bed.
"Idiot" I wispered to myself while lying on my bed.
"I heard that." He said while got up and sat on the bed beside me.
"Sorry about earlier on today but you left me no choice. And I'm pretty sure I didn't go to hell though." He pointed out.
I just rolled me eyes again.
"You know if you keep rolling your eyes you might find your brain back there." She said cockley.
"Who said I had a brain." I snapped back.
The door opened showing a nurse with a tray of food in her hands. She came in and placed the food on the bed side table beside me.
"Here's your food and Sandra told me to tell you that she had to leave early. I'll leave first then." She excused herself and walked out closing the door behind her.
"Are you excited for tomorrow?" He asked getting up and handing me over the food that the nurse left.
"I'm not hungry." I rejected him.
My answer didn't faze him as he sat down infront of me and placed the food on my lap and handed me the fork. It smelled delicious but I just didn't have the appetite.
"Eat." Ryder demanded.
"Im not hungry though." I whined.
"I don't care. You haven't eaten solid food in nearly 3 days. Eat!" He said sternly filling the fork with food and bringing it to my mouth.
The smell wafered through my nose. I couldn't resist it anymore. I took the fork from his hand and gobbled the food up off the fork.
My stomach grumbled really loudly. I felt my blood rush up to my face out of embarrassment. Ryder laughed and took the fork out of my hand and scooped more food up handing me the fork again.
"I can do it myself you know." I remarked slightly smirking at his cuteness.
"I know, I just want to make sure your eating."
"mufh" I muffled with my mouth full of food.
"Hahah. Don't speak your mouth full." Be warned me.
Suddenly my phone lit up and started buzzing. Ryder got up and got my phone for me handling it to me with care.
I thanked him and looked at the caller ID. It was an unknown number. I decided to leave it and left it beside me on the bed.
"Not going to answer? Ryder asked me sitting beside me on the bed by my right side. I shook my head to answer his question.
"Go on keep eating." He rushed me.
I huffed and struggled to eat the rest of the food. I looked at Ryder with puppy eyes in hopes he would let me off just this time.
But nope. He wasn't having it.
Instead he snached the fork off me and fed me the last two spoon fulls.
I sighed when I finished and slouched further down the bed feeling stuffed and bloated from my big meal.
I felt an sudden overwhelming urge to sleep. Within a few seconds I was knocked out with exhaustion. Completely forgeting about Ryder who was still watching me.
