The Knight in Shining Armor

There was no time to spare. As soon as Avyzhia got her bearings, she focused on her speed and stealth as she tried to get to the monster's back while the unknown attacker kept it's attention to him. It was very aggressive, and it's screeches deafening that even though it's focus was not on Avyzhia, she had a hard time just getting on it's back, not to mention looking for the mentioned opening.

When the monster looked like it was about to overpower the swordsman, she was finally able to locate the opening and had pulled out the flower just in time. Immediately the Mosserian slowly lost its strength until it completely stopped moving and fell.

Avyzhia was still panting deep breaths went she finally got off of the mosnter's back.

"Are you okay?" The swordsman approached her, and was just in time to catch her before she dove face first on the ground.

Without any thought, Avyzhia threw herself at him, tears of relief running down her face.

"I thought... I was gonna die..." She cried on his shoulder as she held on to him. "I was so scared..."

The girl continued to cry on her savior's arms, while the latter did his best to calm her down.

It took about half an hour before she finally calmed down and pulled herself away from the swordsman.

"I'm... so sorry you had to see that." Now that she had calmed down, she now felt flustered with her behavior just until a few moments earlier. "And... thank you so much for saving me. I don't know how I could ever repay you."

"You're welcome."

"Ah, this!" Avyzhia realized that the flower she pulled out earlier was still clutched on her hand and tried to give it to him. "Please take it."

The swordsman, however, shook his head no and pushed the flower back to her. "You pulled it out yourself, it's yours."

"But it was all thanks to you, and I would've died if it weren't for you."

"I don't really have any use for it. You can have it."

"But..."

The flower in Avyzhia's hand is called the Scarlet Frysia, a super rare item that any alchemist would bet everything they have to obtain. The most valuable part of the flower however, is not it's petals, roots or leaves, but actually the seed the size of a small peeble at the center of it. A seed that, with proper handling, could provide a fifth of the Mosserian's defensive abilities.

"Fine... but can you at least take the seed? As a swordsman, it's best suited for you." She looked at him with such determined eyes that it was hard to say no, even for him.

"Very well."

The swordsman carefully plucked the seed from the flower, much to Avyzhia's delight, after which she carefully secured the flower to one of her pockets.

"I'm Avyzhia, by the way, but you can call me Avy." She offered him her hand, which he reluctantly took. "What's you name?"

"I'm Ax... just Ax."

"Well Ax, I really awe you big time. I don't know how, but I swear I'm going to return the favor."

After they drunk potions for their wounds and strength, they agreed to go back to the city together. Just as they were about to leave, the Mosserian's body started shrinking until it was just about a foot tall, and for some reason started to follow them.

"What's going on? Is this little guy really the Mosserian?" Avyzhia reluctantly picked it up after it seemed to be determined to stick to them.

"Now that the source of its strength was pulled out, it's just a weak monster."

Now somehow she felt bad for it. "Oh, no. I'm so sorry."

For some reason though, the monster seemed to be okay with what had happened.

"How about I take care of you from now on." She smiled at it, for which the little Mosserian responded positively to. "I think I'll call you... Momo. Do you like it?"

"Are you sure you want to keep it?" Ax asked skeptically.

"You said so yourself that it's just a weak monster now. After what we did to it, I'd feel bad if we just leave it here."

Ax didn't say anything after that.

"You seem to know a lot about monsters, are you an adventurer too?" Avyzhia asked, wanting to break the silence that insued.

"...something like that. It's been a long time though, since I've been back in the kingdom."

"Oh, were you in the Dragonbourn Empire all these time?"

Ax suddenly stopped walking at Avyzhia's casual reply. "How did you..."

"Well... you 'are' of Dragon Kin." She said, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. Ax just blinked at her. "I know Dragon kins can retract their horns, but you can't completely hide it. It's not easy, but I know where to look. And not just anyone can parry against a Mosserian like you did. If you don't want anybody to find out, your secret's safe with me." She grinned at him.

Ax just looked at her and didn't say anything, but nevertheless started walking again beside her.

"Is it okay to ask why you're back in the kingdom?"

"I'm... just visiting."

"Visiting? Well, as long as you're not on a secret mission or something. Just kidding." She giggled to her own joke.

"..."

"I'm actually planning on touring the kingdom sometime soon, myself. Do you want to go together?"

He just looked at her, looking like he doesn't really know how to respond.

"P-Please don't think weirdly of me. I know we're practically strangers, but I'm really grateful to you for saving me and I want to be able to return the favor. Plus, I may not look like it but I'm pretty strong, you know."

Ax chuckled silently. "Yes, I know." He gave her a small smile, which somehow made her blush. "If it's okay with you, I would be honored."

Avyzhia had a big smile on her face.

When Jeila opened her eyes, the first thing she saw were Nero's dark green orbs staring at her intensely, making her blush and tried to turn her back on him, but he was quick to stop her and instead held her into place by gently placing his hand on her cheek.

"S-Stop looking at me like that..."

"Like what?"

"...like I'm going to disappear. I won't, okay?"

Nero smirked at her words. "Told you make up humpy-pumpy always works."

"You pervert."

She tried pushing him away, but this time he wraped his arms around her pulling her closer to him and placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"I missed you..."

"...then you should have come to get me sooner. Idiot."

He sighed. "I couldn't. I was scared."

"Of what?"

"That you're really fed up with me, and won't take me back again."

"It's good that you realized that."

"I don't want to lose you..." He tightened his hold on her.

"Jeez. I told you I'm not going anywhere. What's gotten into you anyway, did you finally get a flat out rejection or something?''

"...someone told me that the past is not as important as the present or the future..."

"Hah! So you did get rejected. Avyzhia can be deep at times too, huh?"

Nero nuzzled on Jeila's head.

"For the record... even though I barely talked to her, I never resented her. In fact, I actually admire her for being able to put up with you all these time. You do know you can be such a handful at times, right?"

"I know. I'm sorry."

She just smiled at how childish he is being at the moment.

"I've been unfair to you from the very beginning, and yet you still stayed with me..."

"It couldn't be helped... I was head over heels."

Nero rested his forehead on hers and looked directly into her eyes.

"This time, I swear I'll give it my all. There won't be anyone else. Just you."

"Alright. I'll hold on to that then."

Jeila smiled at him and kissed him on her own. His declaration taking a load off her chest that she had for a long time but chose to ignore, and it's probably the same for him too.

Jeila gasped as she found herself straddling him while he's still on his back. She felt his member starting to bulge again right under her entrance.

"W-What are you doing?"

"Morning humpy-pumpy." He smirked up at her as he kept her in the position by locking her arms in place with his hands.

"Y-You insatiable pervert!" She tried struggling to no avail, her actions only made him bigger and her wetter. "I... I'm hungry! We hadn't eaten dinner last night."

"We can just eat each other."

"You- ! Isn't the guild war event today? Should you be doing this instead of preparing for it?"

"We should hurry then."

Jeila was speechless at his shamelessness.

Somehow, she felt like this development in their relationship would be much worse than before.
