CHAPTER 46: He's Deep Asleep Though

"I know..." she answered.

"And that is why I need to you to be more patient. The path we are taking now, isn't the same as the past. It has more struggles because of what had happened."

Hunter's hand dropped on his side at the thought of this.

All the people readily accepted her as the crown princess back then. But now she is being condemned and was even being pushed to let go of her title.

The Imperial family were the same.

They were being pressured of letting her go as the crown princess with the reason that she was a family of a traitor and murderer.

"That is why we need to be more patient. We need them to accept everything once again, not in a brutal way."

Hunter sighed, he really did lose his cool a while ago.

"The way you threatened them. Some might think you were someone who easily lose their patience over some words. It was I who had lost control, if you didn't get there before me then I would have injured them severely."

He sighed again, she will have another negative comment on her.

Saphira laughed before laying down on the lush grass, "I think only one of us having a bad reputation is enough. It is better to have one who can neutralize that."

Since she was already the one receiving such bad comments then she wouldn't mind receiving more.

She can be the bad one while Hunter, who is the crown prince, the one with royal blood, could remain as the good example.

Like he always did.

He may not interact much to people like Gideon but being a hardworker and helper was what made the people love him.

He can remain as that, she can just be the one who always seeks for fights.

In the end, people will forget about this once she have proven herself.

But if the crown prince were to be the one having a tarnished reputation, it would be more difficult to clean that up.

"I will do my best to hold back more from now on," he said following her and lying down on the grass as well.

If she plans on taking the responsibility of being the bad guy then he will do his best to carry the good guy image.

He will carry the burden of holding back always, especially while they are within the Empire.

"But what you did today was great, the generals all were ignoring you before. They have the prejudice and wouldn't even want to shake hands with you."

He started commending her for what she had done.

"Because you have shown your strength. They, who acknowledges people with proper and great strength, came to accept you as a separate entity. A strong one who they can train with."

"I did notice them at the beginning and thought it would be good to show everyone my strength. It was a gamble if they will come to me, I'm glad it worked well," she replied.

She wanted the rest of the knights to respect her as someone of higher rank but regarding the four mighty generals of Qillian Empire.

It was truly a bet of whether they will have it in them accept her again or not.

She had a lot of chances in being trained by Hedley Camden in the past, despite being a child.

Solely because their abilities are the same that she can learn more from him than the rest.

That is why she had pestered him a lot in helping her train.

She looked towards Hunter when she didn't hear any reply or reaction from him.

And was agaped to see that he was the first to fall asleep among the two of them.

She chuckled and placed both arms behind her head, making it into her pillow.

It seems that the past three days was very tiring for him that he ended up falling asleep because of the warm weather.

After a while she sat up with one knee bended and her arm resting on it, her face was serious and a small sigh escaped her lips.

"He's deep asleep though, you don't haev to hide," she said.

Rustles came from behind.

It was from behind the tree that was covering them from the sun.

"How did you know? I even used my power in hiding," Felissa pouted.

She can hide her presence, that's the ability that she had.

Not just hers but those around her as well.

It was the best partner for the Emperor, especially during assassinations.

When she heard from Reginald that the two of them must be here, she could no longer hold back and came here to see Saphira.

She just didn't want to be berated by her son that she tried to hide.

Saphira smiled at her but there was a different glint in her eyes, "I just know."

"Your majesty, do you want to sit with us?" she asked patting the space beside her.

Felissa smiled sweetly and rushed to where she sits before plopping down.

She didn't even bother even if she is the Empress and people might see her sitting this way.

She loves Saphira as her daughter through and through.

Nothing will change no matter what.

Because when things are being difficult for her back then, it was Saphira who stayed by her side.

(Flashback)

Being an Empress was not easy.

You will sometimes feel isolated from the rest.

Sometimes it is lonely.

Even with the love the Emperor was giving her, she still craves for more.

The attention she receive from the people was very tiring and those false compliments are getting on her nerves.

She can act wilfully at times but not always.

Just as she was in her lowest where she didn't want to meet anyone, the library was her escape place.

The reason why the Emperor came to love it as well.

Barely anyone uses the section for history and she finds solace in there.

Yet one day a little girl appeared from out of no where.
