CHAPTER 130: Once In A While

Back then it was votation and Hunter just left it.

But this time, he was asking her to take it up.

She can't really say no to him though, no matter what.

"Just focus on battles," he said walking over and placing his hand on her head.

What he meant was for her to simply focus on their battle strategies and that she didn't need to be so diligent about it.

She can laze around as well.

She happily smiled and the rest could only shake their heads, she really was a lazy person no matter what.

After that they went to rest for the day.

"What is it?"

Hunter followed Saphira outside into a different place.

She had said when she woke up that she will speak with him.

"I told you didn't I, you were doing it wrong when you confronted the darkness."

She looked at him and walked over.

"I have another secret that as of this moment, I will only show it to you. No one else knew of it yet."

Hunter furrowed his brows.

"Qirin can you come out?" Saphira spoke again.

And with that, Qirin came out.

"Tell me, at this moment, how do you feel in your space within Hunter?" she asked him.

Qirin was confused at first but he still replied honestly.

"It was a bit difficult to breath this time around."

Hunter looked at him in shock.

"That is what I am talking about."

She placed her hand on his chest.

"It is because you were fighting against it, Hunter."

"How am I supposed to accept it then?" he asked.

He had heard how they communicated a while ago, she and Willow.

That is why he understood what she meant in this sentence of hers.

"You simply accept the fact that you are not perfect. Your thoughts and your actions, all of them are so imperfect that you could only accept them as a part of you."

She smiled and spread her arms.

"If it tells you, go on kill them because you hate them. Then tell it, indeed I hate them, this is me. This is who I am. We can only accept it that we have those thoughts. Not tell it that you won't do it. But tell it, we really are ugly, aren't we?"

Hunter was looking a bit confused.

"It is a matter of fact that each and everyone of us were filled with malice once we reach a certain point of anger and hatred. You just need to accept that part but you don't have to deepen the darkness in you by doing what it wants."

It was accept it and face it but don't do what it wants and make yourself darker.

"Stop turning your back on it, spread your arms and hug it. That's not bad because that is a part of us. Something most wouldn't want to accept."

Now he understood, why she can easily move forward.

How she can still smile and laugh.

"So today I will help you with it. Since you have turned your back on it, you have dispelled half of its darkness but half is taking root in you. The reason why Qirin is also being affected."

Hunter looked at Qirin, but even Qirin didn't know that the darkness was taking root in him.

"Don't look like you are at fault, almost everyone wouldn't know of it until it ripens to the point that you can no longer fight against it," she explained to him.

She walked and placed her hand on his chest once again.

"Most of the time, it takes root in your heart. The part where your emotions are abundant."

As she said this, her eye color had some golden hue in them.

Then she slowly moved her hand back and Hunter and Qirin could see that a line of darkness was going from his chest to her hand.

About three minutes later, her hand seemed to have sucked in all of what was inside him.

Admittedly he felt lighter.

"I can only help you once in a while but you need to learn how to accept it yourself. Or else you may end up being swallowed by it."

"Once in a while?"

He looked at her seriously while she grinned at him.

He then squinted his eyes at her, "You sucked that darkness, where did it go?"

"Calm down, I can handle it," she replied.

"That's not the point here Saphira!! You're taking everything by yourself again!!"

He was looking aggrieved and pained by how she was taking things as if no one was there for her.

"We promised that we would communicate better. I won't push you to tell me everything but don't act as if you can handle everything especially when it is involving me!!"

"Hu-"

<"Why can't you rely on me a little?">

All four of them, even Vermilion Bird who was inside her suddenly saw a scene where someone was yelling at someone.

They couldn't see the faces or even the gender, it was so vague that it was incomprehensible.

"What... was that?" Hunter asked as he held his temple.

"This happened before though," Qirin spoke.

Soon Vermilion Bird came out as well.

"I just want to rest why must we receive such painful attacks?" he instantly complained.

"Then what was that?" Hunter asked them again.

Saphira shook her head.

While asleep she did had the same vision and she had vaguely heard Vermilion Bird spoke that he had it as well.

Though she thought it was connected to the two of them alone.

But now it seems that it wasn't only her but Qirin and Hunter as well.

"We could brush it off as nothing for now. That is the best course of action," Vermilion Bird said.

It was weird and all but it wasn't telling them anything.

They could only think of it as something that might become important in the future.

But for now, without any clues there is no point in thinking about them at all.
