CHAPTER 241: You Don't Misunderstand Me

The next day, they can finally heave a sigh of relief when Elizabeth stopped looking at them in terror.

They weren't villains okay.

"He will be sending troops to meet you up halfway, they will then be part of the protection for princess Elizabeth," Reginald informed Saphira.

"I understand, your majesty."

"And they wanted to thank you for finding their daughter. It seems she had gone missing after they went to the borders of Atria Kingdom to give some relief to some villages over there."

SAphira nodded.

"Anyway, just be careful," he said before bidding her goodbye.

"You have heard," Saphira started turning to the rest.

"We will go on at our normal pace in order not to miss other demonic beasts and forces but our way will be directly towards Atria Kingdom."

They each agreed.

Saphira looked towards Hunter where Elizabeth was holding on to his arm.

"Let's go."

They started their journey at a normal pace.

They would face demonic beasts from time to time and would face dark forces on other times

And during these fights, Elizabeth was always beside Hunter.

After three days, she finally got comfortable with the rest of them, giving them more breathing space as they didn't need to be in their tippy toes around her.

Though there is one thing...

"As you all know the light attribute I have placed on your swords are our current best weapon at hand against darkness," Saphira spoke in one of their meetings while on break from their trouble.

They nodded their heads because they did feel the strength was higher after she had placed the light attribute.

"Light attribute?"

All of them turned to Elizabeth, who was sitting right next to Hunter.

Saphira smiled at her before turning back to the rest, "That's it for now. I'll inform you for anything else once I thought of something."

The others knew why she had stopped.

This was their first meeting after getting acquainted with Elizabeth.

And Saphira was still uncomfortable in discussing the things only their group knew to other people.

"Saphira," Hunter called her as she was walking away.

She turned, "Hmmm?"

"This..."

He couldn't continue as Elizabeth was right behind him.

"It's fine, we have a duty now. But you do understand why I chose not to say more right?" she told him with a shake of her head.

Hunter nodded his head, up to now, Elizabeth was still clinging on to him.

And admittedly, he couldn't leave her alone.

Elise is really a big shadow in his life that seeing someone similar to her who needs protection, he couldn't let go.

After speaking Saphira left with her sword.

She started having the habit of swinging her sword in her free time.

Doing things on her own not wanting to be disturbed.

"You do know the reason you are being like this now right?"

Vermilion Bird and Lily actually came out as she was swinging her sword for an hour already.

Beads of sweat on her face, dripping down her chin.

Her breathing was ragged but it was obvious on her face that she has no desire to stop at all.

"..."

Vermilion Bird rolled his eyes but remained outside watching her.

"Saphira," Lily called.

"It is fine Lily, I am fine. And when I say that I am fine then I am serious. You should feel it as well right?"

Lily pursed her lips because what Saphira said was the truth, she could tell that it wasn't affecting the light ability at all.

"I have noticed this when I was training the mana fire for the light ability, for the barrier. As long as it is not excessive, it won't affect the ability."

In the past, before Lily hatched and when she was not training the light ability, even the smallest of negative emotions are afecting it.

But now that she started trainingit, she was given enough leeway to have this little breather in regards with her emotions.

"Stubborn," Vermilion Bird commented.

Saphira ignored him and continued swinging her sword.

The more she sweated, the more she felt relaxed.

'I don't think it would end with just this though,' Lily looked at Vermilion Bird and spoke through her eyes.

Amusing enough, Vermilion Bird understood her.

'You seem like you have been expecting these turns for a long while now,' he replied.

Lily smiled before sighing and returning her eyes on Saphira.

*****

Days went by and they received news that they will be able to meet up with the escorts in another two days span of time.

They had been facing dark forces here and there but as compared back in the now barren Hydra Kingdom, they are much lesser in number.

But because they are having someone that needs protection, they needed to be more careful on their movements, especially Hunter who was left with Elizabeth.

Their travel from Hydra Kingdom to Atria Kingdom will take them three weeks on foot.

Now it has been almost two weeks.

"As you have heard that is the case, so we can have a bit more of a breather when it comes to fighting since we will have more companions," Saphira faced everyone.

"I'm ... sorry," Elizabeth said meekly.

Saphira's movements momentarily stopped before she faced Elizabeth.

"I am not blaming you for anything princess. I hope you don't misunderstand me."

She then turned to the rest, "Anyway, just keep going with your training. Especially on our purpose."

After that she had dismissed them while she looked at the map in her hand.

It was a map of the whole land, she was checking all of the elevations of hills and mountains of the land they are currently in.

"Saphira, I think you need to rest," Hunter spoke beside her.

Other than swinging her sword, she was also training her ability and had been checking the maps of each lands.

It seems her rest was lacking a bit.

"I am fine," she replied without looking up.

Hunter sighed, "Sa-"
