CHAPTER 248: Coming From Carelessness

'Why?' Saphira thought.

Why did they suddenly have that vision after she felt almost the same thing as that lady in the vision?

'Could the visions connected to my emotions? Because I am the current holder of the light ability?'

Then she shook this thought away, 'That's not right, the first visions did not include my emotion at all.'

She was baffled but then her attention returned to the present when everyone has finally gathered around her.

She didn't speak though.

This would have been the first time that she will be commanding the people from this empire but she didn't say anything.

They waited and waited but she remained silent.

"Saphira?" Willow called.

"Hmmm?" she looked at her.

They could tell that she wasn't thinking about anything right now, she was simply keeping her quiet.

Hunter furrowed his brows before he sighed, he just remembered that all along she had handed him the reins over this place.

It was simply because nothing majored had been happening that he had forgotten about it.

Saphira was still looking at Willow with a smile on her face not even looking at him.

He frowned, they were good a few days ago during that talk but not just now even when he assured her about Draco Empire, she had smiled but her eyes showed a different emotion.

He had never seen her be like this before, not even once- No.

He did, way way back.

Back to the day after she had woken up and cried her eyes out.

The day after that, she had this same eyes.

As if she was enduring something all on her own.

He looked at Saphira and made a mental note to thoroughly speak with her again.

It seems something else have happened during the days after their last talk.

But all he saw was the others trying to learn from her.

He furrowed his brows trying to think but nothing comes to mind.

He lightly shook his head and focused his mind on what was currently going on.

"As you all can feel, a strong dark force is coming towards this place. We don't know if they are bent on attacking the kingdom…"

As he spoke of this, the escorts was obviously alerted, panic was there as well.

"Atria Kingdom is already close by, if that is indeed the direction of where they plan to go. Then we can stop them here before they get there," he said seeing their looks.

Resolution followed the panic in the people's eyes.

"What we need you to do is not to over estimate yourselves, if you feel like you are losing your current fight then back off. If you are able to finish one, look around and see whether someone needs help. The force coming is obviously strong, which means their numbers are a lot. So allof your beasts should come out before the battle even starts."

Qirin, who had left moments ago, returned and landed beside him.

"About two hundred, the strength is much more than the first batch we faced. There are also demonic beasts about a hundred."

Hunter sighed, they had prepared themselves with these thought.

That the forces they will face in the future will just become stronger and stronger.

"As you have heard, there are only a few of us. If you feel like you can no longer continue run as far back as possible. We can't have people who needs protection with us."

Hunter faced Elizabeth, "You have to go with your maids."

Elizabeth looked adamant, even up to now, she still didn't feel at ease with those who came from her kingdom.

She felt like one of them or even two or even all of them would suddenly stab her in the back.

"You have to listen to me," Hunter said again.

Elizabeth nodded her head with reluctance.

The other six looked at Saphira but she seemed to not be listening to anything at all.

As they prepared knowing that the force was about a kilometer away, Felix approached Stormie.

"Be careful out there, I know you are strong but I still want you to be careful."

Stormie looked at him in a daze before she slowly nodded her head.

"Y- You too."

Then she turned to double check her things.

Her face was red.

The things he said the night before kept replaying in her mind.

Not once, even while they were training on their respective places before meeting up again, not once did she received a confession.

And she knew it was all because of her attitude.

She is close to being on the boyish side.

She picks fight when someone tries to bully her and because of all the training that she had received, she was obviously much stronger.

So all this time no one had dared to confess to her.

Some of course acknowledged her beauty but that was it.

And when Felix confessed last night, when he said that he will wait and she should just patiently think about it, she was flustered.

Now that it was out in the open, Felix's action was making her even more flustered.

She just checked her sword and was about to return it to its sheath when someone suddenly stopped her hand.

"If you are this much distracted, Saphira will surely not let you off. We are in a battle, no matter how flustered you are, how can you make such a stupid mistake?"

She snapped out of her daze and looked down, she was indeed trying to put her sword back to its sheath but her other hand would surely be wounded due to the fact that it was in the way.

"I.." she looked up to say thanks but what met her eyes was a dark face.

"I won't heal wounds coming from carelessness," Nixon added before turning to leave.

Stormie was very much shock at this, she never saw this kind of face from Nixon even when she compared him to Felix in the past.
