CHAPTER 262: Feeling Different Emotions

With that, all of them decided to calm down and face Saphira.

They each told her their names, seeing as she really couldn't remember any of it.

Then as they plan to start on having a serious talk over the matter that was suddenly thrown towards them.

*GROOOOOWL*

Saphira's stomach growled.

Her face turned beet red upon hearing this.

"I'm sorry."

Though aggrieved, confused and saddened by the sudden turn of events, they couldn't help but to think that Saphira was someone who doesn't get flustered so easily.

Seeing her with this kind of reaction, they couldn't help but to laugh.

"Why don't we go out and eat? It is already noon and you haven't eaten since this morning," Willow said.

"Oh."

Though embarrassed, she was indeed feeling hunrgy and it seems that their talk will be a long one.

It is best to eat now than to hear her stomach growl louder while they talk seriously.

As she was about to stand up, a hand was extended towards her.

She looked up to see the man she had seen first upon opening her eyes.

Looking at him made her feel both suffocated and giddy.

Emotions she couldn't understand where they are coming from.

"Thank you," she spoke.

Though her voice wasn't loud, it was clear and pleasing to the ears.

It has a huge difference from Elizabeth's meek voice where one would feel pity.

Saphira's current tone will make one want to hear it even more.

Most of the time, she would use her authoritative voice.

Sometimes it would be a teasing one, sometimes a serious one, sometimes a cold one.

Thinking back, Hunter could not remember just when he heard her speak in this kind of way.

But listening to it for the first time, he felt a tug in his heart.

Saphira, since childhood, even though she didn't have Vermilion Bird back then, already had the air of a leader.

She had taken up the responsibility of being the one leading them when Raynisha was not around.

To the point that she had adapted to using the tone of a leader, someone with authority and leadership.

She chose to forgo her identity as a noble lady and opted to focusing on being a knight.

Hunter realized that if Saphira wasn't their leader, that if she wasn't given such a heavy burden from the get go, then the her now, would be very much different.

And one of the difference was this one, the tone of her voice.

It wasn't only him who thought of this, the other five were the same.

The only one who found it different but not to the point of being too shock was Felix who had met them now that they are adults.

"What is it?" Saphira asked noticing his momentary shock.

Hunter cleared his throat and shook his head, he then smiled, the smile he always uses towards her, a doting one.

"Let's go and eat," he answered before pulling her out of the tent without letting her hand go.

Saphira stared at their hands, she can feel happiness in her heart but...

There was also hesitation.

She tilted her head to the side, why was she feeling some hesitation over the fact that Hunter was holding her hand?

She allowed him to pull her along as she contemplated on the things that was going on around her.

For some odd reason, she woke up with a blank slate.

She couldn't remember a single thing no matter how much she tried.

With great difficulty she realized what her name is, as for anything else, there was none.

Yet even though she had woken in such condition, she couldn't feel any fear towards these people who came to her.

They wore either a shock look or a terrified one.

And even with the sudden appearance of the beasts, coming out from their bodies, she was shock but she felt that it wasn't something that is out of the norm.

She could tell that all these emotions and feelings are things that originated from the memories of her heart and body.

She can also tell that the reason she wasn't panicking around these people was because she can trust them even without any memories of them.

What she couldn't understand at this moment are two things.

First, why couldn't she remember anything?

It seems that it was a sudden thing basing on the reaction of these people who came to her the moment she woke up.

The second...

Saphira looked up to the man who was guiding her towards a table outside the tent they were in.

Why was she feeling different emotions towards this person.

They were either happiness or sadness.

Without having the answers at the situation she was in, Hunter lead her to the table and helped her sit down.

"Wait here."

Before she could react, he had walked over to where food was placed.

He picked up a plate and started putting food in it.

People around them were glancing at him then at her.

She can see that they weren't looking at her with a question about her indentity but instead they were looking at her with an apologetic gaze.

She can also see that they may be looking at her but when her eyes landed on them, they would avert their gazes and would even walk away.

She was even more confused not understanding just what was going on.

Soon, Hunter returned with a plate filled with food and some fruits.

He also brought a mug of juice.

Seeing her furrowed brows, he patted her head, "Eat for now then we will talk about your current condition."

Having smelled the fragrant smell of the food, she nodded her head before silently devouring the food in her plate.

Hunter looked at her both with a doting look and a sad look.

Half way through her eating, he looked up to Drake.

Drake nodded his head understanding what he meant.

He wants him to inform the other side that a problem occured within their group and that they will move forward a bit later than planned.

They were planning to move once Saphira wakes up but seeing her condition, they can only move the next day.
