"How could I sleep properly at night knowing that the one who not only helped my father recover completely, but who also was also considered a brother by oath before such matters were brought up? Besides, my father took everything that you had given to me and sent me on my way so I technically now have nowhere else to go!" Jacob replied with a large smirk on his face.
Timothy had gotten the hint from Jacob's facial and body expressions. He must have given everything to his family and headed here right away so that he could move forward on the journey alongside Timothy. At first, Timothy wanted to ask for Jack to assist Jacob in finding him a good school within Mist City, but making such a bold move, meant that it would be bad if he did not accept the proposal.
"I guess making you my second in command was a good decision brother. Since that is the case, Jack please notify your master and Cardinal Paul that I have made my decision and wish to head to the Monster's Wasteland right away. I just hope that they do not mind me bringing this brother of mine along, otherwise my journey would have to be halted." Timothy said as he gestured for Jacob to sit down.
Jack of course once more left the room, but this time to locate his master and Cardinal Paul. However, before leaving he handed over one more storage ring which was actually a grade two one! No matter what was in the storage ring, it could fit in his grade three storage ring, but seeing that Jacob did not even have a grade one storage ring, Timothy felt that he should give this to his brother, especially for the journey they would be working together through.
Timothy actually made a grade one storage ring, the one which he would continue to fill for Jacob which included quite a bit of usable equipment and weapons. After the tournament, while they were discussing things before he came to Mist City, Jacob told Timothy that he had not had the chance to use a weapon even during practice.
"Hey Jacob, since I left Boulder Village, have you had the opportunity to start practicing with a weapon yet? It would be strange to take you on such a harsh journey if you are unable to properly protect yourself against even just a level one demon beast." Timothy told Jacob as he continued to shuffle things around the storage ring he would be handing to him just in case they somehow got separated or simply just to make sure Jacob would be prepared.
"My father actually loaned me his battle ax to use during my training. It was not in the best of condition, but it's slowly been much easier to swing around. I do not know how generals in the Bark Kingdom army, are able to wield such heavy weapons, but hopefully one day I will be able to swing around a heavy sword with one hand as well!" Jacob replied to Timothy with a smile on his face.
From Timothy's reaction, it seemed like he had decided to bring Jacob along with him. Jacob never left Boulder Village so he was not used to dealing with potential danger, so all he could think about was how nice it would be traveling with Timothy on a journey. It was also due to his aura type being one that would normally be found in very confident cultivators, except, Jacob was not too overbearing.
"Alright let me just check out the contents in this new storage ring. I have been meaning to give you a proper gift once I returned to Boulder Village so I might as well give them to you but maybe even a few things in this storage ring that I have yet to look through." Timothy replied as he put some of his energy within the grade two storage ring that Jack had given him just a moment earlier.
"What the hell?" Timothy actually said which caused a surprised look to also appear on Jacob's face. The reason Timothy was taken back so much, was because within his storage ring were at least a three years worth supply of dry goods that would not go bad for at least ten years. "He really does know how to push people's buttons the right way." he thought as George crossed his mind.
Using the chance to, Timothy withdrew two years worth of food and threw in everything he wanted to give to Jacob for the journey inside the grade two storage ring as well before handing it over to Jacob while explaining what was inside. "Unless something happens to me or you where we are separated on this journey, I've included one years worth of food for you. As for the rest, there are three decent axes and two full sets of equipment." Timothy told Jacob.
"Whoa, with all of this, it may be difficult for low leveled demon beasts to give us trouble as long as we outnumber them!" Jacob told Timothy before giving him a big hug. Never in his life did he feel so confident to tackle the outside world, but he would have never dreamed that he would be able to do it with such a generous brother. However, for the first time in a while, tears don't fall down his face.
Originally, Timothy felt that he would have to pay close attention to Jacob and reevaluate his importance because he would always cry over every little nice act he did. But now, it looked like Jacob just had too much on his mind which caused him to always have tears, and that his true self was now able to shine through without any issues.
Timothy thought back to what his master had said, and at first Timothy felt that maybe his master was joking around that Jacob's future would have easily outshined his, if he did not have Master Sei or the ability. Since he saw this change in Jacob after not seeing him for only about a week, Timothy's opinion shifted greatly, and part of him felt responsible for keeping Jacob alive no matter what during this adventure.
